  • "Cottage is small and cosy with everything you need."

Comfortable beds and great shower. Large secure back garden which would be great if we’d had better weather. Great location in centre of Criccieth with shops, pubs and beach alll nearby. Definitely recommend Only change I’d suggest is for the owner to leave their mobile tel no. We had a slight delay contacting him as there was only a landline no. available.

On arrival we found the cottage spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It looks tiny on the outside but was actually quite spacious. The garden was a bonus, very secure and private and we enjoyed watching the birds watching us dining outside! Criccieth is a really quiet, quaint little seaside town and the cottage was a very short stroll from the beach. Would highly recommend a stay here as it is a great base to explore the whole of the Llyn Peninsula. Would definitely return. Thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage, well equipped and furnished, very clean."

My only gripe with it was with the heating; there was no way to control the temperature and it was generally a bit chilly. The heater in the lounge is a fan heater and not adequate as it dried the air and made the place stuffy.

We are sorry that you were not warm enough during your visit. The gas central heating is programmed over 24 hours with a new Dimplex Laverton Electric Stove to boost the heat should further heat be needed. The prior booster heater was gas fired & was changed because of safety reasons as not all guests are used to managed gas stoves. This is the first time we have had a comment of this nature & will monitor the situation for the future. Thank you for advising. Property Owner

  • "Lovely little cottage with secure garden."

Could do with another baking tray/ dish in the kitchen. Other wise very well fitted out. People should be aware that each bedroom has very low beams, and the stairs are steep and very narrow at the top. Lovely to be so near the beach, but parking could be a problem between April and September because of restrictions during the day. Out of season it was perfect.

Very cosy and comfortable. Everything there that you need. Very clean. Close to amenities and not far from other resorts. Good WiFi service though it does say on first page WiFi - No, so it may put some people off but the WiFi was excellent. Could not get fire to work, though it wasn't too cold when we went. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Fire didn't work and we had to phone contact number to send a person to repair it. 2. washing machine didn't work. 1 and 2 should have been checked before we arrived, and others arrive in the future. 3. Not enough cooking gear. eg. no large casserole-type dishes. 4. Inadequate clothes storage in bedrooms. The only large cupboard in twin-bedded room was full of bed clothes. Please act on this feedback..

Thank you for your feedback, the central heating is set on a 24-hour programmer, the fire can be used as a secondary heating source in cold weather. We were glad the engineer came to assist when the pilot light went out. On checking the washing machine, it is all in working order. The facilities are being reviewed and there is a clear set of instructions provided for the bins at the cottage. Property Owner

Also the stairs where very narrow and steep. Not suitable for children or the elderly. We had a very relaxing holiday. The cottage is close to shops and cafes and the beach.

“Thank you for your 100% score for the cottage & its facilities. As a 300+ year old Grade II listed cottage and one of the oldest in Criccieth it does have certain limitations particularly regarding the height of people since at the time it was built the population was smaller. This has been a family owned property for more than 70 years and the home of my grandparents.. Both my and my sisters families have spent much time here & my wife & I are well into our 70’s. It has been a holiday rented property for 20 years and this is the first comment of this type. In fact it is very popular with our senior citizens and families and have many repeat bookings.” Property Owner
