The property

Penmachno 4 miles.

Resting in the small village of Cwm Penmachno, down a peaceful country lane, is this end-terrace cottage, The Old Bakery.

With a stream running past and beautiful sweeping views, The Old Bakery is a romantic spot to enjoy whilst you admire the North Wales countryside, within easy reach of Betws-y-Coed.

As you step into the sitting room, a warming electric fire takes centre stage as you cuddle on the sofa, with the exposed beams above you, for an evening of television, if you can take your eyes off the views.

Stepping into the kitchen/diner, there is a stylish breakfast bar so you can enjoy a bite to eat with your loved one, rustled up in the well-equipped kitchen area.

The Old Bakery is perfect for a couple with a furry friend, with dog beds and dog bowls provided, as well as coat hooks and a boot rack for yourselves.

Climbing up the open-tread stairs, there is a well-decorated king-size bedroom with high ceilings and an en-suite shower room, so guests can freshen up after a long day of walking.

Outside there is roadside parking at the top of the country lane, and a front patio with furniture so you can take your morning coffee into the fresh air.

In the side garden you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining, on the picnic bench right by the magical stream.

The Old Bakery is situated ideally in Snowdonia National Park, with the nearby Penmachno being a hub for cycling trails, as well as being home to The Eagles Hotel which is a great spot for an evening of food and drink, or you can grab your essentials from the local shop and cook a romantic meal for your loved one at your self-catering cottage.

For a charming day out, take a short drive to Betws-y-Coed which is between two rivers, offering scenic views from the interesting bridges at either side of the village, as well as a golf course, a train station and some riverside eateries.

Also, in Betws-y-Coed, you can climb through the treetops at Zip World Forest or enjoy a range of outdoor activities including gorge walking, abseiling and rock climbing.

Within driving distance from The Old Bakery, you can embrace into an underground adventure at Go Below, visit the National Trust properties of Ysbyty Ifan and Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant, and admire the stunning Rhaeadr Y Graig Lwyd with its forest gorge, waterfalls and tree-topped paths with a viewing platform.
