Cyfyng is a beautiful, traditional Welsh stone-built holiday cottage sitting in the hills above Betws y Coed in Snowdonia.
It’s got a lot of history being built in the 17th century - it was previously part of the old school building!
Inside the holiday cottage has retained its charm - wooden shutters, a stone fireplace and exposed beams are all there still.
Also boasting views out over the woodland and down into the valley, you’ll not see another house so you’ve got plenty of privacy.
The kitchen is small - but perfectly formed!
- with an electric oven and hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle.
The freezer is located in the adjoining boot room.
The open plan dining area is close to the kitchen and had gorgeous original tiled flooring, a wood burning stove and amazing views to soak up with your morning cuppa, or evening supper!
The sitting room offers squishy sofas around the open fire making this a cosy space come autumn-winter.
There’s a TV, DVD player and a good selection of books and games for your entertainment.
All of the bedrooms are upstairs.
There are two double bedrooms, one of which has an additional single bed.
There is also a bunk room.
The shower room has an electric shower, toilet and hand basin.
Outside the front of the holiday cottage is a lovely terrace with outdoor seating - sit here with a glass of wine and soak up the views over the valley.
There is also parking for two cars.
Whilst Cyfyng is a secluded and rural holiday cottage ideal for relaxation, you are certainly not in the middle of nowhere!
In fact, some of Snowdonia’s best towns and villages are a short drive away.
Picturesque Betws y Coed is only down the road and has a lovely selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
The Llechwedd Slate Caverns is a nearby attraction or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can hurtle down a zip wire at Zip World, or jump around the underground trampoline at Bounce Below.
With walks, attractions, activities and fab things to see and do close by, there’s plenty on offer to make the most of your holiday in this wonderful part of North Wales.
