  • "We would not revisit this holiday cottage, although it was a lovely property and very ideally situated, on arrival we found the bed completely broken, it was already a very low bed but all the legs were broken and we ended up having to remove them and have the bed on the floor but also the slats were broken making it impossible to sleep on, we had read in a previous review about this so checked before we went and were assured this had been resolved which it hadn't."

There was also a shelf almost coming off the wall in the lounge and a heater that had come off the wall in the child bunk room whuch was left lose on the floor so not usable and leaving dangerous brackets on the wall at low level. Light bulbs not working in lounge and remote tv control all not working had also been mentioned in previous reviews but not dealt with. The property can sleep 6 guests but has only wardrobe in the main bedroom as the one in bunk room is padlocked and there are no cupboards or chest of draws in either room so the main wardrobe would need to be used for all 6 guests but contained only 6 very small hangers in total a hanger per person !! We didn't use the garden as it had not been very well maintained nor had the outdoor furniture.

  • "Front door had many spider webs, giving impression it was not used for a while."

Thick layer of dust and hair on flat strip on stairs landing which we had to remove as it felt unhygienic. Curtains in master bedroom had a very unpleasant pungent smell as if had several layers of sprays. Floor boards between bedrooms clunked loudly when walked on. Small bedroom's only piece of storage, a wardrobe was padlocked! Bunk bed, which was not suitable for my 18 year old daughter. Not all families are made up of small children. Bathroom: leak behind wash basin and also side of bath. All garden shrubs overgrown and untidy, front and back making walking through narrow pathway difficult, especially when carrying luggage. Nice modern decor and a great location.

  • "This property is ideally suited for exploring North Wales; minutes from the North Wales Expressway, a railway station and a bus route."

There is also easy access to an off-road walking/cycle path leading to Conwy and Llandudno. The house itself is compact but well designed to make maximum use of space and the dedicated parking space is a bonus in this area. On the outside, the grounds were unkempt. So many rental properties nowadays are welcoming places where the owners have taken the trouble to provide comprehensive information packs and even a welcoming gift - a bottle of wine perhaps, a bunch of flowers or a bit of local produce

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I am so pleased you found the area easily accessible. sorry you could not find the information packs. Had you let me know I would have advised you where they are situated. Best wishes Property Owner

  • "Hi,The creaking floorboards were really annoying."

We couldn,t read the cooker dials. Not enough pans, nothing to cook food in in the oven. The shower head wouldn,t stay up. I was sleeping in the bunk room and there was no where to put my clothes, there was a cupboard but it had a padlock on it? When we arrived we were told to switch the power on which would have been fine if we were 6 foot tall, it was a good job I,d taken a step stool with me.

  • "Well equipped property in a great location with everything we needed really."

Yes, the upstairs floorboards do creak, but we weren't upstairs much. A couple of suggestions: curtains as well as a blind in the bunk room - it was very bright in the morning - small kids would be up very early! A couple more saucepans would be good too. Having the power off between lettings meant the timer on the hot water was wrong and we had to reset it.

  • "Lovely clean and modern house, great quiet location for exploring Conwy and Llandudno."

Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Would reiterate the feedback of other guests (not resolved): no information on the bin collection day, cooker dial icons are worn so hard to identify what's what even using instruction booklet, WiFi is poor couldn't get any signal and floorboards are really creaky upstairs. Only feedback I would add, could do with curtains in bunk bed room, my boys found it too light and there were no pillow protectors on the bunk bed pillows. Could do with info on getting the fire working as we could only get it to light up. Found it unusual to not supply washing up liquid and brush/scourer, (there was only hand soap) we self cater all the time and this is normally provided, some of the plates/cutlery weren't fully clean which is probably due to not providing this, there was also no bin bag in, you normally get at least one! Overall a great stay and none of the above would stop us returning!

  • "A lovely house in a brilliant location; within easy walking distance Conwy town, and Llandudno is also walkable, or a very short bus ride away."

I agree with some of the reviews about the (very) loud, creaky floorboards, but you soon get used to them! The property would benefit from a bit of TLC, a good tidy up outside and some modernisation inside. It is, however much cheaper than many other nearby properties, so for the price I can’t really complain!

  • "3 All Saints Ave was a perfect spot for a short family holiday."

The property was very clean and had everything you need for a short break. The location was excellent and we were able to enjoy a lovely walk up the Vardre which offered spectacular views, even our littlest daughter found this walk manageable. Similarly you can quickly access the beaches at Deganwy with a short walk, and West Shore, Llandudno and Conwy with a short drive. All in all location was spot on. The only improvements I could suggest would be a little bit more info in the welcome pack, we did have to spend a while rooting through the file on arrival to find info, the settings on the oven for example are worn so it is difficult to read them. Some instructions would have just made this a bit more straightforward. The heating system was also a little bit confusing and the house was cold on our first afternoon/evening, once we’d been in for a little while though it did warm up, though the heater in the master bedroom doesn’t seem to be working. I would definitely recommend 3 All Saints Ave for a short, family break.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. The owner has confirmed that she assisted you with using the heating, and can confirm that the master bedroom heater does work as it has been tested prior and after your stay. Thank you again for your comments. Property Owner

  • "The floorboards creaked which wasn't great and has been mentioned in other feedback and I thought that they had been fixed and the double bed was soft and very low."

There was no information in the house, usually, in holiday lets there is a folder, recommending places to eat, visit, etc but there was nothing; it's just a little thing but it would have helped if some information had been available. It was very clean and in an ideal spot for visiting Conwy, Llandudno and Anglesey and being opposite the Marina and close to the beach was a plus.

Thank you very much for the helpful feedback. I can confirm the issue with the floorboards has now been resolved during a gap in bookings. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and do hope you visit again. Property Owner

  • "We had read reviews that made us nervous so I contacted the owner and she reassured us that the rubbish, cold tap and oven glove issue had been resolved (which they were)."

She said she would get the handyman to check the floorboards. The cottage was very clean and safe. The bed was softer than we’re used to. We only have one child so the lower bunk bed was fine for her but I imagine it would have been tight for a second person on the top due to the cupboards. The bedroom floorboards are very creaky and loud which made it difficult for us to move about when our daughter was sleeping. The internet signal was poor so we bought an Ethernet cable to directly link the TV to the internet which helped. The cottage is in a good location and is well equipped for a couples or small family holiday, would recommend the walk from the doorstep up to the remains of the Deganwy Castle and also along the tow path to Conwy castle.

Thank you very much for the helpful feedback. I can confirm the floorboards have now been resolved and the bunk bed room has been refurbished so there is no issue with head space for the top bunk as the overhead cupboards have been removed. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and do hope you visit again. Property Owner

  • "Pleasant light airy modern property, good base for exploring local area and felt nice to come back to."

An oven glove would be useful addition. We were a bit surprised to find no toilet paper provided. A few minor maintenance issues - cold tap in bath doesn't work, cooker dial settings mostly unreadable, TV remote not working but was easily sorted with new batteries. The rubbish does seem to be an issue - bin was overflowing with black bags when we arrived. We couldn't find any information on recycling - this would possibly help reduce volume going into general waste. None of these things would put us off returning to the property though.

Thank you for your feedback for 3 All Saints Avenue. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the property. We can confirm that we have taken your comments on board and all issues have been resolved and a bin collection notice has been left in the property. We look forward to seeing you again. About the location

DEGANWY

Conwy 2 miles; Llandudno 3.5 miles.

The town of Deganwy, on the banks of the River Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary, is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a marina, a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. There is an abundance of activities to suit all interests on offer in this area; from sea fishing, walking and climbing in the Eryri (Snowdonia) range to enjoying the castles, mines, beaches and gardens of this beautiful stretch of the North Wales Coast. Deganwy is only a few miles from the holiday resorts of Conwy and Llandudno; Conwy boasts a medieval castle, town walls and a marina, plus winding streets which offer something for shoppers and diners alike. Llandudno was very popular during the Victorian era, and this is evident in the architecture and the very impressive promenade. The town also has a pier with family attractions, a theatre and for the more adventurous, a dry ski slope! Between Deganwy, Llandudno and Conwy, this area has so much to offer the entire family.
