  • "Clergy House was perfect for our holiday."

    The house was very well equipped with lots of thoughtful additional touches, such as lots of games and toys for children and a really lovely welcome basket. We found the house very comfortable with lots of space for us all. It’s in a great central location to Denbigh with plenty of things to see and do.

  • "Clergy house was great for a large group."

    Lots of room with lots of games/ books / toys to entertain. We were left a welcome pack which was lovely and there is an aldi and Lidl a minute walk away. The beds were really comfy and clean. Any issues, Victoria sorted on the day for us and was really helpful. We’ll definitely be staying again in the future :)

The property

A spectacular Grade II listed building, resting at the centre of the market town of Denbigh, Clergy House offers a desirable location in easy reach of coastal and countryside attractions of all kinds.

Resting over four floors, this impressive property offers families and groups of friends a beautiful base from which to explore Wales.

Step inside this stone-built abode to be greeted by the delectable traditional interior, finding the dining room to your left with an impressive chesterfield sofa, accompanying armchair and a piano, where you can unwind with a good book or gather together for a family meal beneath the character ceiling rose and chandelier.

Also on the ground floor rests a shower room, perfectly placed for rinsing down after a day at the beach, while the first floor offers a bathroom for a more relaxing soak to end the day.

Find one the twin bedroom on the first floor too, as well as a dressing room accompanying the master super-king-size bedroom on the second floor, offering a quirky layout only adding to the character of the property.

The second floor is where you will also find the impressive sitting room, home to two spacious sofas sitting before the open fire; it makes a great spot to spend quality time with your loved ones, the Smart TV providing your entertainment for the evening.

Move up to the third and final floor to be met by three double bedrooms served by the family bathroom with both a bath and shower over, with views of Moel Famau to enjoy from this floor too, you can ensure each floor is as enticing as the next.

Spend your mornings out in the enclosed courtyard at the rear of the property where your little ones and canine companion can play safely, you’ll also find a charcoal barbecue for those balmy summer evenings.

Head out to explore the local historic town of Denbigh, with history dating back to the 11th century; be sure to explore its impressive 13th century castle ruins, Leicester's Church and friary, followed by a stroll around the town's park, something the little ones are sure to delight at.

A range of shops for picking up any essentials as well as inviting pubs and eateries can be found just a short stroll from the property, catering for all your cuisine needs, as well as the town boasting its very own golf club offering the perfect way to while away the hours in the warmer weather.

The town hosts a variety of events throughout the year too, such as walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the Denbigh Plum Festival, and a monthly People's market, catering to a variety of tastes, all well-worth exploring while you're visiting.

Denbigh dates back to the 11th century and boasts the remains of a 13th century castle, perched on a steep hill above the town and commanding some superb views over the surrounding countryside. Denbigh is a busy little town, with a variety of shops and pubs, and a number of events including walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the Denbigh Plum Festival, and a monthly People's market. Within easy reach of Denbigh are the cathedral at St Asaph, the seaside resorts of Prestatyn or Llandudno, and the historic city of Chester, over the border into England. The Snowdonia National Park is a short drive, with its stunning lakes, mountains, walking and cycling, while the Lleyn Peninsula and excellent beaches on the Isle of Anglesey are ideal for a day trip. Plenty to see and do at any time of the year!
