  • "Holiday cottage is just as described."

Everything you need is there. Lovely welcome to the cottage and a surprise of milk and bara brith left for us to enjoy. Log burner was perfect for the cold nights and teenage girls loved the games room and meeting all the friendly farm animals. Views are amazing. Had a very relaxing stay. Couldn't ask for anything more!

The owner was very friendly and even left us milk and mince pies in the kitchen - a great touch. The perfect place to base ourselves for a few days of hiking, to come back and relax here infront of the fire. Just perfect.

  • "Stunning location and everything needed even being snowed in."

Attention to detail needed as lots of cobwebs everywhere. I really did not like the "house rules" sign when first entered and old boiler which let out a strong smell which left us both with headaches. However we still had a enjoyable stay as the views at the property were amazing.

I am sorry you had a few issues at the cottage,I wish your concerns had been mentioned when I visited to check if everything was OK rather than be told"beautiful property"!I think a smelly boiler should have been notified as a matter of urgency so it could have been investigated for your safety,as a matter of interest the body of the boiler is old but all parts have been replaced and are fairly new! The cottage has beautiful views all around, and is lovely and peaceful - the perfect relaxing place but equally well positioned to enjoy all that Snowdonia has to offer. We were lucky enough to be there during lambing season, which my children really loved. We loved coming back to the cottage every day after days out exploring the area. The cottage really is a home away from home - everything you need is there, plus a games room, washing facilities, enclosed garden and log burner. There are nice walks straight out the door across the countryside. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday!

Lovely host, scones, milk and fresh flowers all in the cottage on arrival. We did some lovely walking from the cottage...to the Capel Garmin Burial Chamber and also into Betws y Coed (good to have an OS map) Good access to the A5 if you want to drive out further afield. Cottage has everything you need, comfy beds, great shower, comfy sofas and a really well equipped kitchen. The appliances were all good and easy to use ( fridge in kitchen, tall fridge, tall freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in outhouses) My Tesco order for a family of 4 arrived on the first evening which i'd recommend as smaller stores only nearby (Londis, Spar Co-Op type shops) Would highly recommend this cottage...we'll definitely be back

  • "This was a return visit to this cottage, the very fact that we have returned is testimony in itself."

We have stayed in other cottages but this is the only one to which we have returned. The cottage is set on a working hill farm so you will be close to sheep and goats you will see lots of birds and other wildlife, we arrived at the end of lambing season so it was lovely to see them playing in the fields on our doorstep. The cottage is surrounded by countryside, hills and amazing views, it is peaceful but not far from amenities should you wish to seek out something a little more social, subject to Covid-19 restrictions. The walking and climbing in the area is fantastic, we have walked up Snowdon in the past but we stuck to walking the hills, waterfalls and trails this time including a visit just over the hill to Capel Garmon Burial Chamber https://cadw.gov.wales/visit/places-to-visit/capel-garmon-burial-chamber and down the hill to Conwy Falls https://www.visitconwy.org.uk/things-to-do/conwy-falls-p277451, check out the visit wales website for other places to visit in the area, opening times, restrictions and to book visits on-line. We had an amazing time, very relaxing which was just what we needed. The cottage is very well equipped, I can't think of anything that you may need that isn't there, all equipment for cooking and a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, should you need them. There was tea and coffee, milk and lovely scones left out for our arrival. It was lovely to come back from our walks and set the multi-fuel fire and enjoy a glass of wine, it was so warm and cosy. There is a starter pack for the fire included and additional supplies to purchase left in the laundry room. Bedrooms and bathroom are lovely, clean, well equipped and well set out. Now to the owners, they are amazing and so lovely, Mrs Jones kept us informed all along the way, contacting us to arrange the key collection, she also called us en-route to inform us that we could arrive a little earlier. We had a visit the day after our arrival to check everything was okay but other than this we were left to enjoy our holiday, not at all intrusive but there if you need to call her to ask any questions or arrange anything. Such a lovely lady. We will certainly be booking another visit to this cottage and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

  • "The location of the cottage itself was lovely, however there were a few issues with the cottage, mainly things I wish i'd known before booking."

The main view window in the living room had a failed unit in it, where it was full of condensation and could not be looked out of properly meaning you couldn't enjoy the view from inside the house. The single beds in the twin room were very uncomfortable with springs sticking in my daughters back, in the end we swapped the mattress from the single bed in our room which was a little better. However my son still slept in the other bed, he's younger (ans lighter) so couldn't feel it as much. The games room was unusable with the games being broken, there were no darts for the darts board, the football table had broken arms on it which meant you couldn't use, my children were upset by this as i'd been talking about the games room for some time prior to the holiday. I think this was mis-advertised really as it was more of a hazard than a room for children to play in. The last two days of the holiday we had no hot water, we did contact the owner and she came right over however the problem couldn't be resolved meaning cold showers for the last two days which wasn't ideal. The owner was also still in the house when we were going out for the day so we had to leave the house unlocked which I didn't feel comfortable with. (everything was fine, it was just my personal opinion). This the fridge was very small, id been a bit over organised and ordered the food shop to come on the day of arrival however the fridge was so small we couldn't keep some of the food in it, this is a little picky on my part but something id wish id known prior so thought it might be worth mentioning for anyone else wanting to do the same. There was also no light in the extractor fan above the cooker, and the reclining chairs on the sofa didn't work. The good points were that it was lovely and quiet, we saw lots of wildlife and went for some nice walks around the local area.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed the area and the location of the cottage. It is a lovely part of the country and many people comment on the walks and the wildlife The feedback is not typical of the comments that the owner usually receives. The owner is on hand to resolve any issues that you may have during your stay and encourages Customers to report these to them I am sorry to hear that you had problems with the hot water - the owner did come around to the property straight away and sorted this by resetting the timers. Owners will only enter the property if they need to and dont want to interrupt your stay so will often stay in the cottage while you are out and about to get things fixed. The games room is used by all Customers and the owner would have been happy to sort the football table for you as it wasn't broken & also replace the extractor fan bulb for you. The windows are being replaced at the end of the season. The mattresses are in good working order. Feedback about items like this are often subjective as we all have different levels of comfort The owner has read all of the comments you made and has taken those onboard We hope to welcome you back in the future Property Owner

The bathroom was also good, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, making sure we had everything we needed for the week.
