  • "Steve and Naomi are really super hosts, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with wine, chocolates and flowers something we have never had before."

Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is a relatively new build and self contained with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. Although it is very close to the main road we were never disturbed by the traffic. The whole cottage has wooden floors which we weren't to sure about however. This young couple are hard working and "HAVING A GO" we would certainly recommend Rainbow Cottage to our family and friends and a return visit is on the cards.

  • "The cottage address details as supplied by Sykes in the 'Your Key Collection Details' email were incorrect, the postcode should be: LL26 0YP This is a fair distance from the incorrect address/postcode given (LL26 0YN)."

The directions were also only provided as if approaching from the north, although it was easy enough to locate from the south with the help of Google Street View. The holiday cottage was excellent, as were the owners. We're not happy with Sykes over-enthusiastic marketing - bombarded by many emails following our booking to ... book a cottage! Even while away we got emails urging us to book now for summer. Come on... Also hit with mails about various deals on grocery deliveries, 50% off food, 2 for 1 deals, travel insurance and to download the My Sykes App. All somewhat over the top and unnecessary for a week's cottage holiday.

The owners are very welcoming we even got chocolates, wine, flowers and fresh chicken eggs on arrival what a lovely gesture. Will definitely be returning they have so much to offer.

  • "Rainbow Cottage is lovely, comfortable and very well presented."

Naomi and Steve made us welcome and we enjoyed the homely atmosphere and in particular the ducks, chickens and geese which there an abundance of. We know the area fairly well as we first came in the early 70's, but it's a while since we were here and we had forgotten how beautiful the scenery is. The cottage location is ideal for visiting many of the seaside towns and villages, it is also well situated for Snowdon and the National Park. Anglesey is only 30-40 minutes away and we spent time exploring some of the areas we visited with our children 40+ years ago, most enjoyable. Now we have rediscovered North Wales we will be back. About the location

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
