  • "We just finished a one week stay at 1 The Cottage."

The cottage itself is lovely with a big kitchen equipped with everything you need, a great living room with incredible views, and lovely comfy bed! The off street parking is convenient and there was also a great outdoor area to sit and take in the amazing views. Did I mention the views? Seriously breathtaking! Ideal location with Mold just a few minutes drive away with shops and an outdoor market two days a week. Beautiful countryside and the cottage is well placed for walks which was great for us and our dog. Just a few minutes walk to the pub which was fabulous and everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. The owners of the cottage were really lovely!! I would recommend staying here and can’t wait to return! Tish and Nige

  • "The description of the property is misleading."

The so called renovation must’ve been undertaken many years ago as the property is tired and dated. The lounge furniture was extremely uncomfortable as it was so worn. There was absolutely no privacy due to cars parking along the road directly outside the lounge windows, completely obscuring any views and making it difficult to get out of the car parking space. Also, with the amount of people constantly walking past all the downstairs windows it was like living in a goldfish bowl. We have stayed in self-catering in Wales many times but this was the first time we’ve experienced any issues. We were so disappointed with the accommodation that we left halfway through our stay. We certainly wouldn’t use Sykes again.
