  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Lovely view and everything was a short walk away. Only downsides were the allocated parking space for number 9 was occupied when we arrived (they left a couple of hours later). Also, the lady in number 10 was complaining loudly to someone about our arrival and the fact that we had a dog? (Even though we never saw her and the dog didn’t bark once).

Thank you for your feedback, the parking is allocated and we will raise this with the complex management firm. We are sorry to hear there was a complaint about your dog, we personally welcome pets in our apartment and there are no regulations within the complex which state no pets allowed. Again we will take this up with the complex management firm. Property Owner

  • "9 The Oakley's is perfect for us,in fact this was our 3 rd visit this year."

My husband is out most of the day as a volunteer on the railway and so I need to be somewhere close to town and bus routes. This is perfect, a stones throw from the high street but away from any traffic, near bus routes and coffee shops. Porthmadog has an Aldi, Lidl and Tesco so no shortage of places to shop. We will be back in 2024.

Thank you for using our apartment for your visits and we appreciate your feedback. Property Owner

My husband does voluntary work up here so I'm on my own during the day. Number 9 is nice and warm and cosy with a view over the harbour and mountains beyond. Very easy access to town and buses and several local walks. Very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback and we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon in the future. Property Owner

I also forgot to leave a note pointing out that one downlighter bulb (nearest lounge door) had failed. Flat was well presented and clean and ideal for us as we'd decided not to bring our dog with us. I'd consider booking again but note that the property is for sale with a local estate agent which may mean any future booking got cancelled if a sale takes place.

Thank you for your feedback, we have asked housekeeping to take a look at the light. The property had been up for sale through the summer as an ongoing concern but we have decided to keep it. Glad to see you found the place comfy and clean and hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

Sofas were amazingly comfortable and the flat was equipped with everything we needed. Missed having facilities to play a DVD and thought the one toilet roll provided for the week was pushing it!

Thank you for your feedback and really pleased you enjoyed your stay. As the apartment is self catering, toilet rolls etc are normally supplied by the guests, however; we do supply one at arrival just so guests aren't caught short! Hope to see you here again soon. Property Owner

Wonderful view of the harbour from the lounge / kitchen. The flat was beautifully equipped , clean , great shower and comfortable bedrooms . The kitchen / dinning rooms had everything you needed, and the couch even had 2 reclining chairs either end of it as did the separate armchair so you could sit with your legs outstretched while taking on the view outside! Parking provided which was great . Regular emails before the stay meant we had clear instructions about key collection and also at the end what to do .Very comfortable indeed would highly recommend and go back again

The location at the top of the High Street is perfect, the secure parking a bonus, and the electrically operated reclining sofa and chair are the icing on the cake! There's plenty of room for two and you can just sit and look at the view towards the harbour. We were once again blessed with sunshine so we could enjoy long walks, the Ffestiniog Railway and a day out at Canaerfon Castle. The week passed too quickly but we intend to return in the future. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a relaxing break.

We have stayed in quite a few of the accommodations in The Oakleys and to be fair they are all of a high standard. They vary in size and price accordingly. This was ideal for the 2 of us and plenty big enough for 3 but the second bedroom may be a bit of a squash for 4.. Would highly recommend and would definately stay here again.

Lots of cracks appearing on the outside wall by the french windows, and the french windows foot panel has cracks. The bedroom windows overlook social housing and one garden is very unkept and has a free range very noisy cockrell.

Thank you for your feedback. The property is maintained by a management company and the whole exterior is to be renovated in the coming months. • "We have stayed in many self catering apartments in England and Wales and 9 The Oakleys is one of the best particularly for location and overall first class accommodation."

The electric reclining settee and chair were the icing on the cake. Off road secure parking is always a bonus. Out of all the apartments on this site, number 9 probably has one of the best outlooks. You can just leave the car and hop on a bus.... the stops are just minutes walk away. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. If I could make one observation which is not a criticism...i would move the clock from over the sink and replace it with a small strip light. The clock would be better either to the left of the double balcony doors or where the mirror is. Overall a super break and We hope to return....still lots to see and do!

Thank you for your feedback, I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay and also one of the reasons we chose this particular apartment was because of the outlook over the harbour and the views. I have a couple of days booked towards the end of the year and will have a look at the location the clock. Property Owner

There was no dishwasher, as described in the instructions. The grouting round the bath was discoloured and a frosted window would have been better in the bathroom. The WiFi code in the handbook needs updating. We found the hub behind the TV with the correct code. No. 9 is one of the best positions in The Oakleys.

  • "First problem was of our own mistake of using the wrong key box,its clear in the instructions its next to no 9 door, caretaker kindly helped but as with previous tenant the key fob for electric gates did not work, caretaker returned and supplied us with his newer fob which worked fine for the stay."

Top marks to the caretaker What didn't work though was the hot water, caretaker came next day and reported it to the owner who said he was travelling down with an enginer to fix it,later the same day we had a message telling us it was now sorted. Unfortunately it was still the same would run hot in the sink for under a minute the run cold so having a shower or bath was hopeless. We informed the owner so hopefully the next tenants will have constant running hot water. We used the Leisure centre facilities for showers!

Thanks for your feedback, we take it on board. Id like to respond to the first comment, there has never been an issue with the electric gate key fob, however; it was looking a little worn and we have replaced it with a new one. When we received a complaint about the hot water, we had a qualified heating engineer there within 2 hours who reported no problems, we also personally drove over to wales to make sure you were happy. The second time we were contacted about the hot water was towards the end of your stay, along with a request not to send anyone over whilst you were there, otherwise we would have had another heating engineer there immediately. To ensure future customers have an enjoyable visit and that the com bi boiler runs perfectly, we have now changed all major components regardless, Heat Ex-changer, Diverter valve, Manifold, outlet pipe and so on.
