  • "We had a lovely time!"

Excellent location and beautiful accommodation. Would highly recommend!

  • "This was a wonderful house, that suited our needs, but."

.. There were problems with water pressure so we could only use 1 shower at a time. With 8 adults in the house this was a little tricky to manage. All in all though, we loved it here and would visit again

  • "Lovely house, so conveniently placed for everything in Llangollen."

Amazingly good views across the town. Well fitted out for the 10 of us and ideal for our family holiday together. Comfortable, neat and clean. Would have preferred that some of the double rooms were twin bedded or more versatile to allow for a greater variety of guest combinations. There was a fault with the cooker and it was dealt with by an immediate response, and fixed the following day.

  • "Lovely house."

Great for a group of friends and the location is amazing. Jan and Wyn quickly responded if we had any queries. Only a couple of suggestions... for a group of 6 we struggled with just 1 decent shower, only the smaller side of the oven worked and it would be great if just one of the beds could be unzipped into a twin. Other than that we had a wonderful holiday...

  • "Leahurst was a fantastic holiday home!"

The house is full of character and has kept many original features which made it a stand-out place to stay. The views from the upstairs living room across to the river and up to the hills are beautiful. What a beautiful, gracious room that is, with plenty of room for the 8 of us to sit comfortably together, high ceilings and a lovely feeling of light and space. All the bedrooms are generous and comfortable and the kitchen and separate dining room were lovely sociable spaces. The house is in a prime location being in walking distance of all the attractions that Llangollen has to offer. Our group were aged between 22 and 85 years of age and we all absolutely loved the house! We also loved the shops, cafes and pubs in Llangollen and our highlights included exploring Plas Newydd, Chirk Castle, Castell Dinas Bran, Ruthin, Horseshoe Pass & Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte. A great area for a holiday and a wonderful place to stay - DIOLCH YN FAWR IAWN!/ THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • "I booked this accommodation for my team who were working in the area."

The team were bowled over by the spacious property and the attention to detail that has been provided by the property owner. The property owner met them to hand over keys and tell them all they needed to know and then they had this beautiful home as their base. The team have informed me that this is the best property they have stayed in, the beds are comfortable and the layout of the property provides space for all. The location is amazing too. Their only tiny complaint was that as they were working they didn’t have time to make use of the beautiful bath as it takes a little while to fill- I’m sure this is no problem at all when on holiday there! Thank you so much

  • "The situation of the cottage was outstanding."

The view from the living room was particularly wonderful. We live on a farm and every time we need anything we have to get in the car, so to be in this house was brilliant. We ate out and fetched takeaway just because we could and still didn't try all the restaurants we wanted to try! The location for our days out was also great. We went on the steam train but didn't have time for the canal boats. If Covid hadn't closed so many things we would have been spoilt for choice. A week wasn't really enough. Loved it! The only issue with the house was that the floors were a bit grubby. Fortunately we had taken slippers. The rest of the cleanliness was good.

  • "We had a good week and the house is in a fantastic location with an excellent view of the river from the lounge window."

It is a good size for a large party but there were a few minor issues that would have improved our experience. We could really only use one shower as the ensuite one had really low power. The main shower head was loose so water was pouring everywhere. The fridge in the kitchen was a bit small for all our food and drink, especially as the bottom shelf of the fridge door was broken and couldn't bear any weight. A couple of the windows couldn't be opened. The dishwasher didn't work all week. An engineer did attend but it still didn't work. Despite these things we really enjoyed ourselves and,as a family it was lovely to be together after the last few months.

  • "We booked this property for 3 nights."

Other than the location we didn't like anything about this property. It was last min booking as our earlier booking, a nicer looking cottage got cancelled. So this was found for us as an alternative but such a disappointment when we all arrived there. The property definitely needs refurbishment . It's dirty everywhere at the moment including carpets , wooden floors and furnitures. The showers were rubbish . It literally has no water flow at all . It just drips and worse when someone else uses one other bathroom. The rooms were all spread out over 4 floors and bathrooms in different levels was so inconvenient for our party of 9 people of different age groups. The stairs were quite steep too. The beds were ok. In the kitchen the cooker was great but all very basic pots and pans. The cups , cutlery, plates were fine. We had enough. The fridge was ok. We wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone. We were planning to infact cut short our holiday and go back home.

  • "Leahurst is a beautiful property set in a fantastic location."

The house offers plenty of character and charm and the position of the house offers the best views of the town, river and the steam railway. My party and I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to family and friends due to the location and lovely friendly owners. The general feedback from the group was that the kitchen, dining room and all bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. However the main sitting room and main shower needs to be updated as the furnishings are very tired. The sitting room sofa and carpet were very musty and stained which left us mainly sitting in the kitchen or the dining room which was not ideal. On some of the days the main shower had very poor pressure, the water would not drain away which meant you had to turn the shower off and wait. The on-suite shower does not work if anyone was using the water the in the rest of the house, plus you are not able to leave the door open due to the smell of the drainage. We felt like the house does need a good clean and refresh which would make the stay perfect but overall we had a wonderful stay.

  • "Leahurst is brilliantly situated."

Great for a group with plenty of seating in the lounge. Owners responded very quickly when we contacted them. Access to the property was easy to organise. Restaurants all within walking distance. We went to Fouzi and The Corn Mill both of which were excellent but booking essential for a big group. All in all a great time.
