The property

Bodlawen is a lovely end of terrace cottage is located between Corwen (12 miles) and Betws y Coed (10 miles) Inside, the property has been renovated into a contemporary holiday home.

Step in the door, kick off your shoes and walk into the spacious living room with a large L-shaped sofa, big enough to sit five people, a small sofa and the new hardwood flooring.

The cottage retains its wealth of character with the large stone chimney breast which houses a woodburning stove, perfect for settling down at night with the family and watching a movie on the TV.

The wonderfully appointed kitchen has many white modern cabinets and units with black granite worktops and to add a splash of colours, the walls have been painted in a lovely purple shade, giving the room its charm.

The dining area has seating for up to eight people and has an attractive black brick wall, which compliments the white furnishings.

Upstairs, there are five bedrooms: one king-size, two double and two single, ideally chosen to accommodate both families and a group of friends.

All bedrooms have been individually styled, with a simple but light decor, giving the rooms a welcoming feel.

Not only this, but they have plenty of storage space, including a wardrobe and a set of drawers.

One of the bedrooms also offers a desk, ideal for anyone needing a work space.

There is a separate modern bathroom with a large bath and shower over, as well as a ground floor WC.

Outside has a garden area with a picnic bench available.

Off-road parking is available for three cars.

The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as fabulous walks and hikes across the diverse landscapes within the National Park, cycling at Llyn Brenig, and fabulous watersports at Llyn Tegid in Bala where you can go fishing and horse riding.

Alternatively, take the historic train ride to the summit and marvel at the panoramic views.

You are also close to white knuckle experiences at the Llechwedd Slate Caverns of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Bodlawen is the place to be for those who enjoy the secluded countryside.

About the location

Cerrigydrudion 2 miles, Pentrefoelas 3 miles, Betws-y-Coed 10 miles, Corwen 12 miles, Bala 13 miles, Ruthin 16.5 miles, Denbigh 19 miles, Blaenau-Ffestiniog 20 miles, Llangollen 22 miles.

Glasfryn is a tiny hamlet near Cerrigydrudion, in the area of North Wales known as Hiraethog, the Hills of Longing (or more prosaically the gorse hills), the gateway to Snowdonia. Situated on Telford’s historic turnpike route from England to Holyhead, Glasfryn is one of the highest settlements in Wales. There is a children’s playground, a pottery and a petrol station in Glasfryn and a shop and post office in the nearby village of Cerrigydrudion.
Home to rare wildlife like red squirrels, the Hiraethog moors, woodlands and lakes provide excellent cycleways and mountain bike locations. Holiday attractions such as the Fforest zipwire, the Llangollen, Bala and Festiniog steam railways, white water rafting, castles and seaside are all within easy reach by car. Just a short distance from Glasfryn is the GYG go-kart track, one of the biggest circuits in the UK, several excellent cafes and the Gilar Arms pub and restaurant.
The nearby Hiraethog Way links public footpaths and quiet lanes, and there is an abundance of walking routes based on Bala, Pentrefoelas and throughout the area, while Snowdon itself, with its many paths to the summit (including the mountain railway!) is within easy travelling distance.
