  • "A lovely little gem in a quiet village."

The house was immaculately clean, and I really appreciated the little details that Jan and Alun added, like the tea, coffee and sugar pots. The view from the back garden is very beautiful too, can catch many a lovely sunset. The pub is a stone throw away, which is pretty handy. Perfect place for a little break away from busy life. The communication was also great throughout!

Thank you Emily for such a lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome back anytime. Jan and Alun Property Owner

Jan and Alun made us so very welcome and helped us above and beyond what we expected. They even left us an anniversary card and bottle of bubbly as well as putting a banner up for us :-) We will be sorry to leave but will definitely be coming back. The cottage was superb and decorated to an high standard as well as being spotlessly clean. Jan and Alun live close by and insisted that we contact them should we need anything. Many thanks once again for making us so welcome. Andy and Mo.

  • "The accomodation was very good and the owners very helpful & friendly."

Would have been perfect if we had one or two leaflets about the local area in the cottage to consult. The Fox pub next door served superb & reasonably priced meals.!!!

Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad that you have mentioned the lack of leaflets, as we will now highlight to future guests that due to COVID cleaning protocols we are not allowed to leave leaflets, games, videos etc in the house. We already provide links in the Welcome Pack to online information to accommodate this until we are allowed to return to normal practice. Property Owner

  • "Firstly Jan was very welcoming."

The little things she did made the welcome nice after a drive and traffic. The peace and quiet was lovely along with the view in the kitchen with the door open. Super clean also. The neighbours are very nice and the pub was nice to sit after a long walk. The food is great and going back to the cottage to sleep in a comfy clean bed made an end to a perfect day. My only recomendation would be black out curtains in the bedroom, as soon as the sun comes up it let's in a lot daylight. If that is the only thing I can say then it's clear we will definitely be going back again. Beautiful area, lovely locals and great hosts.

Thank you for comments. We are glad you had a lovely stay at Northgate and hope to see you again. Property Owner
