  • "We stayed at Bryan Torino for 4 weeks in between homes."

It was ideally located for us with quick, easy access to local amenities and a couple of easily accessible local walks with stunning views. The local shops are walking distance. The food and beer at the Penrhyn Arms was excellent as are the local takeaways. Vanessa took time to ensure we settled well and promptly answered any queries. All in all a really good experience.

  • "Fantastic location."

Amazing views of surrounding area. Beautiful building, lovely furnishings and very good facilities in property. Pet friendly property so not recommended if looking for pet free premises. Steep staircases due to style of this, and other properties in area. Great, regular informative and welcoming communications from owners. Would definitely re-book if in Llandudno again.

  • "This house was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday."

The views from the house are beautiful and it’s such a peaceful location. The living room was especially comfortable-something a lot of holiday cottages lack, here it really was like a home from home. We enjoyed relaxing in the front and back garden to make the most of the sunshine, and all the bedrooms are a great size and very comfortable. The information we received beforehand was helpful and informative, and we really appreciated support we got when needed.

Owners very friendly and helpful with information prior to and during our holiday. The welcome gifts for us and 2 dogs were very nice. A lovely gesture. We had a very nice break after months of lockdown. A real tonic. Well worth a visit for anyone looking to book a cottage in this area.

The cottage we stayed at was fantastic! We were greeted with a lovely welcoming basket not only for ourselves but our two sofas also...there were some great treats for all...the cottage was not only comfy and welcoming but so tastefully decorated...a fantastic base to have for visits all over North Wales! So not only will we visit Wales again we will definitely be going back to Bryn Tirion...thank you Vanessa

  • "Bryn Tirion is simply a wonderful Holiday Home: clean, cozy, warm and comfortable!"

It’s close enough to the local amenities yet tucked away and very private. The owners sent us a welcome message before we arrived and, although we didn’t need to message them, they were available for any queries about the house or local area. When we arrived there was a lovely hamper of treats for us and our little dog. There are two pubs in Penrhynside one of them serves take away pizza’s at the weekends which we took back to enjoy at Bryn Tirion. The elevated position means that the views from the house are stunning and the bedroom in the attic is perfect for children as it has its own TV (with DVDs) and a little table Football game. The owner sent us directions to a local walk, straight from the house and a tip about a walk to Angel Bay to watch the seals on the beach. We will definitely be returning to Bryn Tirion!

  • "Bryn Tirion is a lovely house in a fantastic location."

Everything you could need is there at the house and it really does have the most comfiest of beds too. The views are beautiful - especially when doing yoga from the front bedroom facing the window in the mornings ;-). The owner is really helpful and there if you need her but doesn't bother you otherwise so you can just enjoy your holiday - she does ensure that there is a wonderful welcome pack there and as this was our 2nd visit (and a birthday for my partner) we got a couple of little extras and a thoughtful message too. There was even a special treat for our dog :-) After a cracking day out walking and 'maybe' a couple of well earned drinks in one (or both) of the two marvellous & very friendly/welcoming local pubs, it's great to kick back and relax in the well laid out and comfortable lounge and watch a film or something. Quite simply, we love it here and will most likely make another return visit. There's always something else to see & do in this area and I cannot think of a better house to stay in to do all that than Bryn Tirion.

  • "3 night stay here at Bryn Tirion for a little calm before the storm at Xmas!"

What an absolute delight this house is. Immaculately clean, warm, cosy and such thoughtful touches like the welcome basket and the dog biscuits/bowl. Location is fantastic& the scenery breathtaking. We enjoyed both the local pubs (pizza @ Penrhys Arms is excellent) Also had a lovely lunch at Home from Home on our way back from walking on Little Orme & seeing the seals there at Angel Bay. Vanessa was a charming and very helpful host - I really pestered her but she wasn't phased at all! (We also walked into Llandudno via the beach to meet friends & had a lovely time at 3rd Space. Very dog friendly, great food & excellent craft beers) Will be highly recommending Bryn Tirion.

  • "Bryn Tirion is a fantastic holiday home!"

We took the whole family: grandma, grandad, mum, dad, baby and dog, for a weekend away in Penrhynside and couldn’t have been happier with the house. Really comfy, brilliant size and some lovely extra homely touches like dog treats, popcorn for a cinema night and first night essentials like milk and welsh cakes. There’s a couple of lovely pubs in the village, one of which sells excellent pizzas at the weekend, and with only a short trip to get to Llandudno with Conwy only a little further away it’s perfectly located. We couldn’t have been happier!

  • "A wonderful and extremely clean cottage - The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and also the message from the owner prior to our arrival was very nice."

There was an issue with the wifi not working but the owner couldnt have done more for us - very comfortable beds, very warm cottage. Two great local pubs 5 minute walk away - Great facilities throughout. Only challenge was parking as my car is quite large i ended up parking just round the corner. We will definitely be back again.

  • ""A real home from home" We stayed here; my wife and I plus 15 year old son plus 22 year old daughter and her boyfriend."

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise as Bara Brith is my favourite cake! Crisps and milk too. WiFi wasn't working for the whole weekend, but support and compensation offered by Vanessa was well above what we expected. Parking was tricky so we decided to stay parked down the road which was no problem. We watched football in close by pub and had a game of pool in the other. A wonderful time spent in a cozy, comfortable real home from home, which was absolutely spotless with every thing there to hand. Thanks so much - we will be back!

  • "Beautifully presented home - felt clean and cosy."

Immaculately clean even though the property is dog friendly. Lovely modern interior, photos online do not do the house justice, is much more spacious in reality. Got surprisingly good weather for our trip. Had a great time at Quarry Karts & Aber Falls Distillery. Even squeezed in the local Conwy park run. Thank you for your lovely Welsh hospitality.

  • "I’d like to inform you that we have now left the cottage."

The cottage was as expected or described but it is too far out for us and with 2 teenagers with not a lot to do in Llandudno or surrounding areas and the weather isn’t great for tomorrow (16/8/19) we decided to leave early. We have explored quite a bit of North Wales and have enjoyed what we’ve seen and done but as we are not walkers, north wales is not the place for us, sadly but it is very scenic and very pretty! As far as the cottage, there were a few issues with regards to the WiFi, especially in the front bedroom, the throws in the lounge weren’t in great condition and looked more like dog blankets although it didn’t specify that, there were stains on the pillows in the back bedroom which was only identified when stripping the bed, dining room chairs had no covers on the seat pads and the cooker had no instructions how use especially the induction hob if you have never used an electric induction hob before. Overall, we were happy with the cottage although there was a few minor issues that can be easily rectified and considering 2 dogs are allowed to stay at the cottage, the cleanliness was at a high standard with no trace of dog hair. Thank you for allowing us to stay your cottage and I am sorry it’s not all positive but maybe I should have researched the area a bit more although like I said we are happy with what we've done. It is lovely place to stay for someone who is more interested north wales on foot or who is looking for a quiet retreat and north wales is great area but not for us or maybe not for us for a week. I would definitely recommend Menai cottages to anyone looking to visit north wales. Thanks again!

Thank you for taking the time to review your holiday in North Wales, at Bryn Tirion. We loved your description of Bryn Tirion being a 'quiet retreat' and we agree that it's an oasis of peace and tranquillity with no passing traffic, stunning views and wonderful beach and country walks directly from the front door. People who have stayed at Bryn Tirion have typically enjoyed a quiet drink in the Village Pub which serves local ales. The five-minute stroll down to the start of Llandudno promenade and the walks across to the Little Orme are often what people love about the house but, like you say, with two teenagers and being unlucky with the weather perhaps they found it too quiet. I hope they managed to visit Zip World, Surf Snowdonia, The Ski Slope and Pitch and Putt course during their stay, the leaflets were in a folder in the Dining Room. We are delighted you found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cottages as it's something we appreciate ourselves. We have already acted on your comments about the throws and pillows, new throws are currently on order from The White Company! We are looking into the WiFi it was recently upgraded so we are unsure about why there was poor connectivity, maybe due to the high winds last week and we have written instructions for operating the induction hob. Once again, thank you for the helpful feedback. Property Owner

  • "We have had a lovely stay at Bryn Tirion."

The cottage was just right for our 3 generations; Grandparents, parents and two little ones. We have found lots to do in the area in spite of unpredictable weather. Bodafon Farm Park was a firm favourite with the children (aged 2 & 6), and we all enjoyed the Bronze Age Mines.

    Mrs R GaskellAug 2019

  • "Not impressed with the listing stating it was dog friendly to then find out, after we had payed the full amount, that they were not allowed up stairs or on furniture etc."

Dog friendly place with nothing but floorboards and rugs on the floor in all rooms but one bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. No wonder there was a foul smell of dog odour when we stepped in. Oven hadn’t been cleaned for a while and was dirty and smelt of fish the second we turned it on. Very steep hill and tiny driveway with no space to turn around which we were not pre warned about Very overpriced and not happy with the quality of the place. Pictures do not represent the place at all.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry that you felt disappointed that dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on soft furnishings - this is part of the Menai Holidays Terms and Conditions and not just limited to this house. We clearly mention in the cottage details that the cottage down a narrow lane and that the parking space can be tight, but we do apologise if you had difficulties. We have reviewed photos and do not agree that they are not an accurate and it is such a shame that on this occasion the house wasn't right for you, other guests have had a wonderful stay at Bryn Tirion. • "Bryn Tirion is just lovely."

Clean, tidy, warm, ample room for a family, off-street parking, a lovely garden, stunning views from the master bedroom and that attic room is brilliant - wow, my children would have had to have taken turns staying up there! Although I don’t have a dog yet, I can see how it would be ideal for one here too. I was here for 3 nights and during that time managed to check out Penrhyn Bay, Llandudno Bay, Conwy Castle, Swallow Falls and Llyn Padarn in the Snowdonia National Park, Llanddwyn Beach and Island, Penmon Point, South Stacks in Anglesey. You really are located in hiking heaven with beach, coastal, countryside, lake and mountain walks of pretty much any length and difficulty! Thank you again for the stay - I had such fun here and will be recommending Bryn Tirion to anyone thinking of coming to North Wales. Best wishes, Tom
