The garden is great too with fabulous views across the valley to the sea but it is steep and terraced so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Elaine was very welcoming and very helpful providing us with lots of ideas for days out, eating out and places to walk from the cottage The road to the property is quite tight and you need to be prepared to reverse on occasions but there is a generous sized parking space outside the cottage ,

It had everything we could have wanted, and more! Elaine (the owner) sent us a very detailed email before we arrived, with clear instructions on how and where to find everything, as well as lots of information on what to do during our stay. The welcome tray of goodies she had left out for when we arrived was also gratefully received. We did find the road approaching the house a little tight (especially with a new car!), but the parking space itself was more than ample. The local pubs were a real bonus, too! Thank you again.

Thank you for your lovely feedback Sarah. We are glad you had a fabulous stay and found the information useful :) The village is very lucky to have to great pubs. Hopefully see you back in Penrhynside soon. Elaine & Kev Property Owner

  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage just as the photos show."

Access is up a narrow road but makes for more fun. Due to its elevated position there is a sea view from the terrace garden where you can sit on two levels and drink in the view the peace and quiet and fragrant flowers around you absolutely stunning . The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. I would say for a family of four or four adults the fridge is a bit on the small side. There was a nice welcome pack from the owners a lovely touch. The main bedroom is nice and roomy but only a double metal bed which squeaks when you turn over. A king size would be ideal. The pillows are fairly hard if you like a soft pillow I would take your own. The cottage is well placed for exploring all that North Wales has to offer and we enjoyed our week there immensely. The owners made themselves available on the phone if anything was needed. A fabulous cottage.

The approach is quite narrow, fine for us, but something to bear in mind for other travellers if you are nervous driving on narrow roads. Cottage was spotlessly clean, well maintained and very comfortable. It had everything you could possibly need including an excellent shower (very welcome after a long walk) and comfy beds. We were so lucky with the weather and managed to pack a lot in visiting national trust properties, walking on the Little Orme, strolling on the Llandudno pier to name a few. We also enjoyed celebrating our anniversary in the beautiful garden which is elevated and has wonderful views. The village location is peaceful and ideal for exploring and there are lots of handy leaflets in the property for attractions and activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and have brought many happy memories home from our visit to Wales.

The property

Llandudno 2.8 miles.

Overlooking the scenic coastline of Penrhyn Bay on the outskirts of Llandudno rests this traditional, white-washed holiday home, Euryn View.

Set across two floors and sleeping up to four guests, Euryn View makes for a fantastic base for a small family looking to explore both the coast and country of North Wales.

Marvel at the charming exterior of this lovely dwelling before unloading your bags and stepping into the quaint porchway, providing handy storage to house your beach-going essentials away from the main living areas.

Dust off your sandy toes and enter into the open-plan living/dining room, traditionally decorated and featuring a warming woodburning stove; a lovely spot to unwind in front of the television following an action-packed day.

Be charmed by the beautifully-appointed kitchen tucked away at the rear of the property, housing an array of modern amenities and fit with an elegant stainless steel Belfast sink; make use of the facilities and cook up a storm, gathering together at the nearby dining table to indulge, or if you're lucky enough to experience the warmer weather, venture outside to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining on the patio, backed by the well-kept mature gardens.

Climb the external stairs to the quirky nautical blue summerhouse, idyllically situated in an elevated position, and enjoy your favourite tipple as you watch the sun set across the tranquil water over the rooftops in the near distance.

As the evening draws to a close, head back indoors and prepare for bed with a luxurious soak amongst the bubbles in the bathtub, or if you'd prefer, make use of the overhead shower to wash away the day before retiring to either of the two thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, with the choice between a double, framing far-reaching views across the bay, and a snug twin room.

A short walk from your doorstep will bring you to a handful of traditional country pubs including local favourite, the Penrhyn Arms, home to a quirky Mediterranean style tropical beer garden fit with an outdoor pizza oven so you can indulge in a slice or two of delectable woodfired pizza, with the choice to dine in the tranquil setting of the surrounding palm, fruit and olives trees or takeaway to indulge in the comfort of your holiday home; whilst in the area, be sure to snap a photo with the iconic Llandudno Welcome Sign as a reminder of your fantastic staycation.

Pack up your bucket and spades for a seaside adventure and venture into the heart of Llandudno, home to two remarkable beaches, the lively North Shore and the peaceful South Shore; an idyllic setting for basking in the sun's rays as you dip your toes in the tranquil waters of the bay.

Indulge in the seaside tradition of fish and chips and a leisurely stroll along the promenade, with Victorian buildings to one side and the coast to the other, test your luck at the thrilling amusement arcade aboard the pier, or ride the cable car to the summit of the Great Orme, a limestone headland boasting spectacular views as far as Liverpool Bay, the Carneddau range and Anglesey.

Spend a fun-filled day meeting the rare species of animals at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, marvel at the impressive 13th century fortress of Conwy Castle or explore the varying terrains and landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, home to the tallest mountain in Wales, Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon).

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
