“We have just returned from 5 relaxing days at the cottage and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all and have some peace and quite in nature.”
The cottage is set in the most stunning surroundings, with the only noise being the sheep, birds and river in the valley. It is lovely to not have a phone signal or wifi as you can fully switch off from the outside world, but if you really need to, you can get a signal by just walking slightly up the hill.
Even though we did not get good weather, the cottage was always cosy and comfortable, with both the log fire, reclining sofas and the amazing bath being very welcome. Our dogs also loved staying here and we all felt at home straight away.
We spent time out walking, exploring the surroundings directly from the cottage, also visiting Beddgelert, Black Rock Sands and the beautiful Borth-y-Gest, all within easy driving distance. Porthmadog is a short drive away and has several supermarkets to stock up. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen to cook in and appreciated the dishwasher too. The rest of our time was spent relaxing by the fire reading, snoozing and watching dvds. Perfect!
The owner Lis is also very friendly and helpful, coming to introduce herself when we arrived. We did not have any problems while we were there, everything worked as it should and was comfortable, but we knew that if we needed anything she was just up the road.
The only way our break could have been better would be if we could have stayed for longer and not have to come home to reality! We will definitely return!
