  • "Wonderful house and facilities with everything we needed in the kitchen."

The hot tubs were a great success even tho the weather was atrocious.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. So sorry we cannot control the weather, but do come back and you may have better luck! Property Owner

  • "We loved this house, it was in a beautiful rural location which was great for exploring despite the awful weather and was within a very close proximity to the gorgeous town of Conwy, which we enjoyed."

The house was very spacious and full of character with lots of receptions rooms for people to have quiet time if they wanted. The bedrooms were well made up and very clean. Only very minor feedback would be that a full size dishwasher would have been better as the house is advertised for up to 20 guests so a half size dishwasher is not appropriate for this number of dishes. Also a few more pans of varying sizes would also have come in useful. Lastly, we stayed over Christmas so would have been more magical if the house was made to look a little more festive, as there was just one small rather sad looking tree in the main living room with no other decorations anywhere in the house. This is just a nice to have though, not a necessity and didn’t spoil our amazing Christmas. We really did enjoy the house and the area and thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas, so thank you so much for the opportunity to use your beautiful house for our special family get together!!!!!

Hello Claire, Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, I'm so glad you had a brilliant Christmas. The constructive feedback is very welcome too, we have to scratching our heads how to fit in a bigger dishwasher for a while but will look further into it. We will invest in more decorations for next Christmas for sure, it's such a big house clearly what was there (including the 7 ft tree) gets rather lost. Thank again for your comments, we'd love to have you back Property Owner

  • "Absolutely stunning house and location."

Very well equipped with great quality and tasteful furnishings. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Owner lovely and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and wish it could have been for longer. Will definitely look to book again.

Thank for that lovely feedback. It was lovely to host you and your group and I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. We'd love to welcome you back any time! Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Gwern Borter Manor for one week as a group of 20."

We had a really lovely time and found it to be spacious enough for all of us. The beds were so comfortable and it was very well equipped with spare towels as a plus. The kitchen was our main hub. It felt very homely and again well equipped with plenty of crockery. Location was perfect for nature walks and short drive to Conwy castle and the coastline, the beautiful village of Betws-Y-coed and the waterfalls. We also visited Zip world for some activity. Overall, I would highly recommend it and would happily return.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, I agree it is such a lovely base from which to explore the stunning countryside around. We'd love to welcome you and your party back Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous property, issue with lights first evening but this was resolved next day, 2 showers not working at all, not resolved."

Fruit flies everywhere in kitchen & dog poo in garden. House was extremely comfortable, especially the beds. We really enjoyed our stay despite few issues.

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased we were able to resolve the electrical issue. Sadly we were not made aware of any issue with the showers, flies or dog mess and so were unable to do anything. Following your response I have checked for all the issues mentioned and have not been able find any sign of a problem then or since, but we will stay vigilant Property Owner

  • "Fabulous stay, with some lovely additional touches such as robes, luxury soap and plenty of fluffy towels."

The hot tubs and saunas were fabulous- easy to operate with clear instructions, and a warm, friendly welcome was given through the super brochure and a welcome email from the owners. A couple of the showers in two of the rooms were running hot and cold, but that is the only small grumble- the house, setting and atmosphere was fantastic and we have made many happy memories as a family! The beds are THE most comfortable I have ever stayed in in my life! I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Thank you so much for the feedback Rachel. I've got the plumber to check the showers, it's really helpful to know. I'm so happy you liked the house, especially the beds! We're very proud of it. You were fantastic guests and left the place spotless. We'd love to welcome you back to any of our properties Property Owner

  • "Just spent the May bank holiday staying at this house for my 30th birthday, and couldn’t ask for a better place to celebrate."

The house is very spacious and was not short of cutlery, cups, plates etc. the hot tubs and sauna was perfect, both really clean and situated in the perfect location for friends and family to socialise if they didn’t want to go in. The views are stunning, the beds are really comfy and spacious, no complaints from any guests. We finished the weekend sitting round the fire in the living room and it was so cosy! Would definitely stay again and recommended to friends and family who didn’t come.

Thank you so much for your lovely words, we're very proud of the house and really glad you enjoyed it. We'd love to welcome your friends and family back Property Owner

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
