  • "Overall v happy and would come back."

Just a couple of issues to feedback: the lock for the gate of the backyard does not work so cannot let a dog out there, also the radiator in the dining area does not work (I think it needs a new battery for the remote control thermostat valve). Thank you.

  • "Beautiful house, better than the pictures!"

Well stocked kitchen & games etc. appreciated with the Welsh weather! Bathroom is beautiful. Only tiny feed back would be the top floor shower isn’t temperature stable, so couldn’t use for our son as it went from boiling hot to freezing. Wasn’t an issue as the main bathroom shower was beautiful, great pressure & spacious! We’ll be back!

  • "Nythfa is a lovely holiday cottage."

It had everything we needed and more. The beds were super comfy and the lounge was very cosy in the evenings. Llanrwst is a great little town on the river with nice shops and great cafes. It's the perfect base for exploring this part of Wales.

  • "The house is spacious & beautiful, we loved it."

Some very nice touches in terms of decor & facilities. We would have liked a downstairs toilet but no big deal. My only tiny criticism would be that the yard really lets it down. Some pea gravel, a couple of pots & a picnic bench or table & chairs would make the house in general more welcoming as you arrive at the back, & the outside space useable & attractive. Thank you for answering any questions promptly, we had a lovely stay & the house is gorgeous.

  • "Nythfa is a lovely spacious, clean and well kept house."

The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped (maybe some pans could do with replacing). We didn't need to park in the yard so made use of the space to sit out in the early evening, when it was dry, and enjoyed watching the antics of the birds - we loved the comical jackdaws, the swooping house martins and of course the ubiquitous seagulls. The guide provided by the owner was very helpful, particularly as it came in advance and detailed the household provisions, so we had a good idea of what we needed/didn't need to take. It would have been helpful if the information in the listing was a bit more detailed about the accommodation, e.g. the location of the bedrooms on each floor (I struggled to get hold of Sykes until I eventually found reference to a mobile number and sent a text to ask about this). The one aspect we didn't like and found very odd was the toilet in the ensuite. It has a large, elongated bowl and a seat which was clearly made for a standard toilet. The seat was far too small, leaving a big gap between them. Just to mention, the key to the back doors from the utility room did not work and the television in the room in the bedroom couldn't be connected. We didn't contact the owner as the guide said the number provided was for urgent problems and these were only minor issues and didn't affect our holiday, which we really enjoyed.

Hi Gail, Thanks for your feedback; it's good to hear you enjoyed your stay overall! The toilet seat has been restored back to the correct position today (17/07) and the utility room door lock & key system has also been repaired (17/07); I appreciate you bringing these to my attention. The phone number provided is there for emergencies, but guests are always welcome to contact us through the messaging option on the Sykes platform with any questions - no matter how trivial they may seem. Apologies if this was lost in translation! All the best, and thank you for choosing to stay at Nythfa. Joe & Lauren Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful property in a fabulous location."

Really does have everything you would need. A modern but cosy, well equipped home in a great location. Within a 30 minute drive from Llanberis path if you fancy a hike up Snowden or Zip World if you are an adrenaline junkie and from Llandudno if you fancy a day at the seaside. Llanrwst is a beautiful village with stunning Riverside walks and within a short walk of fairy falls which is very pretty. There is a very well stocked large Co-Op if you want to eat in and the Eagle Hotel has fabulous food on the doorstep of this property for a meal out. The village has every takeaway restaurant you could want. The home has a large utility room to dry your clothes if you are unlucky with the weather and there is all the equipment you need to get yourself and your bikes clean. We will definitely be going back.

Thank you for the lovely feedback Leaza - this is exactly what we thought about Nythfa, so it's great to hear our guests think alike! You are most welcome back in the future. All the best, Joe & Lauren Property Owner

About the location

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
