The property

Queens Cottage is an impressive, large property sitting in the centre of the popular coastal resort of Colwyn Bay, situated just moments away from the pretty promenade and the sublime beach.

After an action-packed day of exploring, head straight into the light-filled sitting room, where plush leather sofas are awaiting to be sunk into, as you tune into the TV with Sky family while the fireplace fills the room with a gentle warmth and setting the ambiance, or if you prefer have a run on the treadmill!.

When dinner calls, head into the delightful kitchen, spacious enough for a few to gather to assist in cooking up a storm for the whole family by making use of the quality electric oven, gas hob, microwave and American-style fridge/freezer.

Enjoy evenings amidst your nearest and dearest within the formal dining room, where you can look forward to tucking into a home-cooked dish or local takeaway, accompanied by a few bottles of wine so that you can toast to a special occasion and a great holiday.

Evening entertainment can be found on by following the 6 steps down to the basement games room, stocked with a pool table and promising hours of family fun, a great way to make memories!

Alternatively, if you are visiting during the summer months, take your drinks outdoors to the large mature garden which wraps all the way around the house to savour the final moments of sunshine or to admire the stars before heading back indoors to catch your rest.

Here, you will be spoilt for choice with five well-presented bedrooms to choose from, each one designed with a range of party make-ups in mind.

On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom featuring its own TV, which younger guests of the group will love, whilst on the first floor there are four bedrooms over split levels, 8 steps will take you up to a king-size bedroom and the family bathroom is also in this level, 8 more steps will take you to three further bedrooms comprising of a master king-size bedroom with an en-suite power shower, a double room and a split level family bedroom with twin beds through which you can travel up another 5 steps to an additional single bed.

When you are ready to venture out, stroll into the town of Colwyn Bay, which has retained such of its original charm and exudes a delightful old-fashioned ambience, with the town centre offering a weekly farmers' market and a cluster of waterside eateries and shops.

Here, you can laze on the glorious sands of the local beach or venture the Welsh Mountain Zoo or get close to nature at The Dingle Nature Reserve, activities that families of all ages will love.

Once you have completed the delights of Colwyn Bay, take a scenic drive to Llandudno, where you will find even more amenities, two stunning beaches, a ski and snowboard centre and the summit of the 679ft Great Orme.

The historic town of Conwy is also well-worth a visit, home to an imposing 13th century castle and The Smallest House in Great Britain, as well as Abergele, home to the famous Gwrych Castle and of course the beauty of the Snowdonia National Park is awaiting to be explored too.

The elegant coastal resort of Colwyn Bay has much to offer visitors of all ages, including sandy beaches, a promenade, a large park with a skateboard section, a leisure centre and bowling green, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Eirias Park, a leisure centre, a theatre/cinema, numerous shops, pubs and restaurants (one on the seafront by the watersports centre, is owned by the celebrity chef, Bryn Williams, who also owns Odette's restaurant in London). Colwyn Bay is an ideal touring base and is close to the many and varied attractions of North Wales and it also benefits from many yearly events, including the Triathlon, the Forties Festival and the Prom Xtra. Set not far away in Llandudno is the Victorian Extravaganza which is also held annually. Virgin Trains travel directly from London Euston to Colwyn Bay and take approximately 2 hours 45 minutes, stopping at Milton Keynes Central, Crewe and Chester.
