  • "This is one of the best cottages I've stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few over the years."

Very clean. Lots of attention to detail. Helpful owners who live next door. Fantastic view from living room and bedrooms over fields. The property is down a well maintained track. If it's peace and quiet you're after I highly recommend it!

It has a very ‘home from home’ feel about it. It had everything we needed for our stay especially peace and quiet , while being in easy reach of several small towns and villages. The hosts are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We look forward to staying again .

  • "From the minute we arrived it was clear that this was the perfect property for us, peace and tranquillity."

The welcome we received was wonderful, nothing too much trouble at all. The house offered us a true home from home with comfortable beds and space to move around and be comfortable. The wardrobes were well equipped with hangers and plenty of room. Everything was perfectly presented, right down to the pretty wildflowers that were left in vases. There was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits along with starter kit for the fire which was most welcome. The hosts had thought of everything including useful information for places to visit and was close to so many wonderful places. The only thing we had an issue with was using the cooker oven, maybe a set of simple instructions for those of us who aren't really savvy with this type of oven. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Thank you for your comments, including about the cooker. We're glad you enjoyed your stay in the cottage. Property Owner

  • "This is a very well maintained and spacious cottage."

It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Even tea, coffee and milk were supplied on arrival. There is a small private garden with patio furniture and views over the surrounding fields although sadly the weather meant that we never used it. The owners live next door in case there are problems but we never needed to disturb them, after being welcomed on arrival. There are several supermarkets a few miles away in both Denbigh and Ruthlin all with easy parking. Just be aware that it is a mile or so down a narrow road with passing places and you may come across the occasional car, cyclist or even a herd of cows. Drive slowly! We had a great holiday and can highly recommend this cottage for a short stay.

Off the beaten track it's very quiet. For walks in the fields it's excellent. The owners are next door and friendly. We had a power cut. Ailsa and Nigel could not have been more helpful. Being out in the wild, up narrow lanes. It may not be suitable for those who want shops and nightlife.

It had been cleaned to a very high standard and we really felt that it was as safe as could be. We met the owners and they were friendly, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The property was larger than expected so there was plenty of space for out family of two adults and two young children to spread out and relax. There were large comfortable sofas, ample soft towels and cosy beds. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It was great to have a utility to leave muddy shoes, bags etc. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed exploring the Clwydians, Llyn Brenig, and the coast at Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. Would highly recommend this property.
