"Albeba is a lovely bungalow in a beautiful location."
I could have sat in the back sunroom and watched the clouds go past for hours. Neil is a wonderful host with lots of suggestions of interesting places to visit. If I’m ever in Shropshire again Albeba is somewhere I would like to stay.
Thank you Mary for your lovely comments . We hope the rest of your holiday in England is enjoyable as well Property Owner

"Very friendly welcome, clean and comfortable cottage."
Heating a bit hard to understand and control. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely garden. Lovely countryside. Proper off-road parking.
Thank you for your comments, we are sorry you found the heating hard to understand , we are around most of the time and happy to explain. If you can tell us what we can do to improve facilities and comfort we would be more than happy to learn from your experience Property Owner
"We had an amazing holiday, fab location if you want peace and quiet but or still close enough for places to go."
The owners are brilliant, very helpful but not intrusive. If you have limited mobility you will find this little gem perfect but not for wheelchair user's. Fabulous hamper left which wasn't expected. A great stay all round.
Thank you for your feedback which is most helpful. If you can tell us what the problem was in relation to cleanliness we will do all we can to improve in the future Property Owner
"This was our third visit to Albeba - just as good as the previous two."
The nearby Stiperstones area is beautiful and not as well known as Long Mynd.
"The property was ideal in a beautiful location."
The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this place!
"Albeba was a really lovely place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our four day break there."
It was very spacious and had every amenity you could wish for. The best part of staying at Albeba was the beautiful rural setting, quiet and peaceful, but not far from Shrewsbury town itself and the lovely garden with plenty of outdoor seating. We hope to return in the not too distant future
"The bungalow is very comfortable, ideally located for visits to Shrewsbury as well as Shropshire and the surrounding counties."
Mr & Mrs Evans were friendly and neighbourly, whilst Mr Evans provided some information about the bungalow on our arrival and there were notes around the place an information folder would have been useful especially when dealling with the wonderful heating and the troublesome plumbing! A very comprehensive hamper was left for us. Although the directions were accurate it is easy to miss the turning as the street is not tarmac and can appear to be a country lane, it is signed but the sign does not face the driver coming from Shrewsbury! All-in-all a very nice holiday let at any time of year.
"Our hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful."
Having a garden and rural view was the most enjoyable feature of staying there. The sitting room was very comfortable. We did thinkhowever that the lighting in the bathroom and more especially the kitchen was inadequate. It would have been helpful to have had specific written instructions about how to operate the centralheating.
"Very nice bungalow with a garden overlooking countryside view."
Spotlessly clean and well equipped with a super welcome hamper on arrival with friendly owners who greeted us upon arrival. Ironbridge gorge is a world heritage site that is within an easy drive as is mid Wales, the location of the cottage makes a car a necessity. Recommended for a weeks peace & quite with activity's & nightlife of Shrewsbury only about 3 miles away if you want it!
"Our hosts, Neil and Barbara, are very welcoming and helpful."
Albeba is ideally placed to easily access Shrewsbury but the countryside too. It is spacious. Loved sitting in the conservatory, looking out over the garden to the views beyond. Many thanks
"Albeba is spacious, yet cozy."
It's very well equipped and there is plenty of storage space. Set in lovely gardens with countryside views. It's very peaceful there, yet you can drive to Shrewsbury in 10 minutes. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
"A comfortable bungalow in a quiet rural location SW of Shrewsbury."
Good base for days out and owners( next door) very helpful. Only downside was minor issues with the plumbing which were resolved by the owner.
"We had a most enjoyable stay in this very comfortable bungalow."
Appreciated the tasty welcome hamper. Neil was there to welcome us on arrival and we were grateful for the wealth of local information that he was able to share. Enjoyed spending time relaxing in the beautiful garden and watching the amazing variety of birds. Great base for exploring the county particularly the National Trust and English Heritage properties. Would love to come back for a visit soon.
"The owners were very helpful, including providing mobility aids for a semi-disabled member of our party."
"Very comfortable and welcoming"
"Large spacious bungalow, very comfortable."
Friendly welcome and generous welcome pack. Extensive garden and lovely view to enjoy with plenty of outdoor seating areas. Attentive and knowledgeable owners next door.
"We found the garden was brilliant and very relaxing."
The views were really wonderful.the different types of birds was truly amazing.the bungalow was very comfortable being able to sit and look at the views was great. The only downside was we didn't book a meal at the local pub so when we arrived there it was fully booked next time we will book.Barbara and Neil were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us Thank you very for a lovely week
"The only problem we had when we arrived at Albeba, was that there were no locks on the windows."
The windows were large, and very easy to climb out of. We have a child with autism and learning difficulties, so we werevery disappointed. However explaining this to the owners, they immediately set to and put the acquired locks where necessary. Very helpful and obliging. We had a really comfortable stay in a very nice location
"Loved this property."
The views from the conservatory were lovely and it was so peaceful there with lots of birds in the lovely garden. Want to definitely go back in the summer next year. The owners were so friendly and gave us some good information on good places to visit in the area. Shrewsbury has some lovely historic buildings.
"The owner were very friendly and helpful, a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us and all instruction were clear."
A lovely home, great location for getting about but you do need a car.
"A lovely bungalow with great garden all around and view beautiful."
"This bungalow was more than a "holiday let" it was home for two weeks and we loved it."
Wee had the best of both worlds beautiful countryside and great grocery stores nearby.
"Barbara and Neil (owners) made us very welcome."
Neil was always available if needed and advised on places to visit and the best routes to take. The bungalow and gardens are a credit to Barbara and Neil's hard work
"The view from the cottage was beautiful we sat for hours looking at it."
There are many many things to do within a 30 mile radius and Shrewsbury is a delight.
"It wassuch a roomy and comfortable bungalow and such a friendly and helpful owners"
"We had the most relaxing holiday we have ever had."
barbara and neil were the most lovely hosts you could wish to meet, nothing was to much trouble. the bungalow is divine, the garden is the most perfect cottage garden we have ever seen .the view from the garden is lovely. you can hear a pin drop it is that tranquil.there is not a bad thing you can say about it.and to top all that they left us a beautiful welcome i have seen one like and to top all that they have most adorable 2 westies who came to visit us quite often .my husband is disabled and i did not feel like driving anywhere because the weather was so lovely but neil took us both out for a little drive around the town and countryside using up his own time and through his own kindness,i dont think you will find a nicer place and nicer hosts .eleanor hanson/
"We enjoyed the very pretty garden and the conservatory, and the owners were friendly and helpful and great welcome pack, that went down very well ."
A lovely peaceful bungalow,with a lovely view.
"Lovely comfy cottage, everything you need is there."
The best welcome pack we’ve ever seen. Nothing to much trouble for the owners that live next door. Very good area to explore the county. Would stay again.
"The owners who live next door are a charming couple who were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable of the area and local attractions."
"Lots of things to like about this cottage - the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas, there was a welcome pack of delicious and practical goodies, lots of local books and tourist material to read and the owners are very kind and have loads of information about what to see and do."
The cottage is warm and comfortable (we were there in Winter over Christmas), has everything you need in a home away from home, kitchen well equipped, a washer and a dryer in a separate laundry area, Wi-Fi good, comfortable furnishings. On-site, safe, easy parking. The location is excellent, it's a short car ride to the nearby town of Meole Brace where there is a really nice Sainsbury's and a few other shops, plus the Park 'n Ride to use to go into Shrewsbury easily. There's so much to see if you have a car:- Attingham Park; R.A.F. Cosford; Ironbridge and Much Wenlock; The Roman City; Chester; driving through Wales including seeing The British Ironwork Centre; Ludlow with its castle, cathedral and on the approach the Ludlow Food Market which is fascinating; Acton Burnell plus of course Shrewsbury itself with lovely walks around and in the city to see the Abbey, Cathedral, the Market, museums, the Castle and Tower. In summer there would be loads of lovely walking trails from the cottage to the town of Hook A Gate and Lyth Hill. The gardens to the cottage are beautiful and its a very quiet area, no traffic or road noise. I would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage for a short or long term rental.
"Very pleased with the welcome pack provided, beautiful breakfast items, scenery from the conservatory is also beautiful."
