“The holiday was great, a nice location and the cottage owners were very attentive and exceeded our expectations, very nice people.”
The cottage is great and perfect for a couple with one or two children Very nice we will go back- Mr Williams, February 2020
“Me and my Family loved this little getaway, great for the price.”
My son enjoyed the horses a lot as he is still talking about them. Cinty and her husband was so welcoming and lovely. We was given drinks and fresh eggs on arrival which was really nice. We would definitely book this cottage again.- Miss Begum, January 2020
“Enjoyed our stay, beautiful cottage, excellent friendly owners made us feel very welcomed.”
Would highly recommend this cottage, didn’t want to leave!- Mr Green, November 2019
“Lovely cottage with friendly owners.”
Just a few notes: there are portable heaters but the radiators seems to come on with the main house so worth checking the settings as it was incredibly warm when it came on but we sorted that out easily by turning them all down. It would have been handy to have a folder explaining how things worked in the house (especially the microwave). Cinty explained everything carefully when we arrived but I forgot about the recycling by the time we checked out and it's quite different to where we live. The lane can get really muddy and there are not many passing places so if you want to go back and forth a lot especially at night it is worth considering that you have a mile of hoping noone else is coming along and getting the car dirty each time. This wasn't an issue for a 3 night break (although our brand new white car needs a good clean). The good stuff: we had a lovely break relaxing in the cottage in the evenings where it was lovely and quiet. There was a freeview tv, wifi, books and games plus a big sofa for lounging. Useful box of tourist info in the lounge as well as a desk which was handy for our computer. Great shower, plenty of cupboard space in the bedroom, parking onsite through the main gates. The dishwasher was a bonus and all the cooking equipment we expected was there. It would have been nice to enjoy the garden if it hadn't rained. Thanks :-)- Mrs Hatcher, October 2019
“This lovely cottage was everything we love in a break away from it all.”
Secluded but not far from local amenities, with a scenic walk along the canal to the nearest town, which boasts a recommended place to eat by the lake. Many places to visit. Attached to the home, our hosts were attentive and caring, always available if we needed anything. Would love to go again!- Mrs Kirby, September 2019
“Really lovely cottage in the country.”
Owner really welcoming and helpful. We would recommend this to anyone who is happy to be away from the crowds. Lovely clear night sky too.- Mrs Boyett, August 2019
“Rose Bank is idyllic, a beautiful small cottage attached to the owners farm house.”
We would happily go back to see Cinty and her well behaved dogs and horses again. The cottage has 1 bedroom with dual aspect windows, an entrance kitchen diner (with at least: hob, dishwasher, sink and microwave and under counter fridge) a shower room and a sitting room which has 2 huge windows. Cinty was a great hostess and offered lots of suggestions for days out, let us join her when she was dealing with the horses and made us feel very welcome, including some provisions as a welcoming gift and getting out some garden toys for my children to play with. There is WiFi but we found neither virgin or 3 had any signal at the cottage; not a problem for us when on holidays. There are lots of lovely days out without going too far.- Mrs Marsden, August 2019
“Very enjoyable stay in the property which was clean and finished to a high standard with everything that you require.”
The location is fantastic and the hosts were both wonderful and very helpful.- Mr Butler, July 2019
“Lovely , peaceful and quiet little getaway, only had a few days here but really enjoyed it.”
Kind and considerate owners and friendly dogs, just what we needed to recharge our batteries.- Mr Ocallaghan, May 2019
“Overall, great weekend at the cottage, friendly hosts, good location for walks, cottage was decorated lovely.”
Only negatives would be the lack of a proper oven, and pull out bed was uncomfortable.- Mr Pearshouse-oliver, May 2019
“The cottage has been beautifully done and has everything you need and the bed is comfy.”
The cottage is on a very narrow road with very few pulling in places so beware. Cinty and John were very helpful telling us about lovely places to eat. The area is farmland but we didn't hear noise, we had a quiet and restful week.- Mrs Barron, September 2018
“Owners very welcoming and could not have done more to make our stay comfortable.”
We appreciated the complimentary fresh eggs, wine and biscuits. Cinty and John let our daughter join them when caring for their horses, Paddy and Limerick. They allowed our daughter to feed them and let her help with caring for them. Great experience for a 6 yr old who does not have any pets at home. Cinty was patient and very kind, even when every task probably took twice as long! Excellent facilities, shower was great and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.- Mrs Martin, August 2018
“Beautiful cottage with amazing hosts, Cinty and John can’t do enough to help thier guests.”
A lovely welcome pack of wine, biscuits and farm fresh eggs and our daughter was made to feel part of the family helping with Cintys horses (the beautiful Paddy and Limerick). The cottage was immaculately clean and in a great location for days out all over Shropshire (Chester zoo, National trust properties, market towns and fab little local eateries). The kitchen has all the crockery, utensils and knives etc you can need, while there were plenty of extra towels, bedding and other little touches like a great hairdryer. Also important were the comfy bed and really good shower. We loved our week away here and didn’t want to leave.- Mrs Mcnally, July 2018
“Not the easiest to get to or journey from.”
However, good accommodation with all the facilities that you may need. Peaceful location with some interesting walks.- Mr Grey, July 2018
“We stayed at Rose Bank Cottage for 5 nights truthfully it just was not long enough!”
The owners Cinty and John couldn't do enough for us they a wonderful couple nothing was too much . We arrived Sunday , John showed us around the lovely holiday accommodation and it's grounds .. we had eggs and a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us , during the week the weather was absolutely fabulous so we made the most of sitting out in the garden listening to the many kinds of birds and enjoying an alcoholic beverage. Cinty and John have made sure privacy is important while been there on hand if need be , the bed was extremely comfortable as was the whole accommodation. There's nothing we can say bad about Rose Bank cottage its a little gem in Tetchil Moor in easy reach of Ellesmere and Oswestry We are hoping to book again soon .- Mrs Hadfield, June 2018
“We were made very welcome by the owners who live next door.”
A bottle of wine, fresh eggs, milk, coffee and tea in the cottage got us off to a good start. The cottage itself is very comfortable. We spent a week there and found plenty to do in Shropshire and just over the border in Wales. Narrow boating, Castles, great walks and much more.- Mr Smethurst, May 2018
