  • "We found Spring House to be a comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay."

We appreciated the owner’s visit at the beginning of our stay. We liked the quiet but convenient location of the property and the spacious private garden was a bonus. We would certainly consider rebooking this accommodation.

  • "Lovely bungalow which felt really homely."

Owners Irene and Ed were lovely and there when we needed them for a minor issue. The visiting squirrels every morning were lovely to watch (we fed them monkey nuts!). Considering the location was close to a main route into Chester it was extremely peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended.

...cooker was dirty and bath not cleaned and floor area in kitchen and hall were dirty ....not been dusted either! lovely furnishings well furnished everything was lovely apart from the things I've mentioned .Bedlinen and towels were spotless but the cleaner had not done any work.

We have a regular cleaner who is generally good. These comments have been passed to the cleaning company, Total Care Cleaning Services Ltd. They will be addressing the issues, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner

  • "Spring House is an excellent base from which to explore Chester and many other places of great interest."

My wife and I rate the accommodation as excellent. It was extremely comfortable, very well furnished, cosy and very quiet given the close proximity to central Chester. The city centre is a pleasant 15/20 minute walk away whilst a frequently timed bus service can be accessed in just 5 minutes. The very friendly and helpful owners of Spring House reside nearby. Highly rated.

The owners, who live across the road, were there to meet us and were very friendly and helpful. They gave us advice on best walking routes into Chester, which we used and were there to say goodbye when we left. We would highly recommend this bungalow for future occupiers.

Cheshire Oaks was nearby too with great shopping. The owners were lovely and were available if required but as we had been down that way before they just left us to enjoy our holiday. Weather was amazing which helped. Beautiful cottage, would definitely come back for a future holiday.

About the location

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
