"The Woodlands cottage is in a nice quiet village and within easy reach of the beach and coastal towns."
With regards to the property there is everything you need it is also spotless!!

"Practically perfect in every way"

"Another lovely stay at Woodlands."
Fantastic base for our holiday & lovely weather to eat & drink outside, all clean & a lovely light & airy cosy barn. Thanks to Martina for checking all settled in OK. Just too soon to come home.
-
"Beautiful and deceptively spacious cottage in a quiet location."
Lovely countryside views and views towards the Wirral and Liverpool in a clear day. A short drive to shops, cafes and rail station. Owners very helpful and available if needed.

"A lovely place to stay."
Could have moved in permanently. A couple of minor things we could suggest, the condition of the bathroom mirror and towel rail were not to the same spec as the rest of the property and no magnifying mirror for those with, like us, with ageing eye sight. Also the towels could do with addition of bath sheets. Surprised we did not find a "user" manual for the place. However having said all this we'd would have no hesitation in going back there. Gareth and Martine were welcoming.
Hello Anthony, thank you for your feedback. We depend on our guests' comments to continually improve our property and maintain the high standards we have set ourselves. I would, however, like to point out that all relevant information about the cottage (heating system, recycling etc) as well as practical tips on sightseeing, shopping and eating out are emailed to all guests before arrival, as was indeed the case prior to your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

"Lovely place to stay, very quiet area but close to Rhyl and Llandudno by car."
Woodlands is very well equipped and the owners have thought of everything with the kitchen, which had all that we needed. The only minor point (more for Sykes than the owners) is that the 'pub 0.1 mile away' has been shut for some time and is not planned to open again in the near future. Would consider staying here again in the future if we are around that way.

Very comfortable and stylish. Owners on hand if needed and a warm welcome. Recommended!

"Fantastic accommodation, couldn't find a single fault."
Perfect place for a much needed break in a beautiful village. Gareth and Martina are perfect hosts and couldn't have been more helpful - look forward to returning soon.
-
"Lovely clean and comfortable cottage in a very quite location on the edge of a country village."
Shame that the village pub was closed. Martina and Gareth were lovely people, very helpful and friendly. Had a great relaxing break. Would recommend this lovely cottage to family and friends. Thanks.

"A gem of a cottage!"
Lovely and clean, warm on arrival - just perfect. Every need catered for, beds very comfortable. Great communication with owners. Lovely surroundings. We had a fab holiday thank you (thank you for the goodies you left us, much appreciated), we didn't want to come home and will be returning for sure. If you are thinking about booking, do it - you certainly won't be disappointed.

"Woodlands near historic Llanasa Woodlands was a perfect cottage for our means, spotless, high quality amenities and such comfortable sofas."
Quiet and private location. Good communication with the owners, thanks for the welcome basket. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

"Woodlands is a stylish, comfortable and convenient base suitable for all members of the family, whether spending time relaxing in the beautiful sitting room or outside on the patio, or exploring the surrounding area."
A short drive takes you to the beach and very long prom for walking and cycling. We also walked from the property to the lighthouse on Talacre beach and back (a bit hilly!). The high street in Prestatyn has a butcher, baker, cheese shop and good deli, among many other interesting indie shops, and there is also a large shopping complex with Tesco, and M&S, among other national retailers. Further along the coast we visited impressive Llandudno and drove up it’s neighbour, Great Orme, where there are Bronze Age copper mines open to the public. We also explored NT garden Bodnant and continued into Betswy Coed in the foothills of Snowdonia. Also, if castles are your thing, then this area should certainly keep you busy. The owner, Martina, lives next door and you couldn’t wish to meet a more friendly and helpful host. All-in-all, an excellent holiday

"Lovely clean property set in a scenic valley."
The garden offers lovely views across the Dee Estuary.Short drives to all amenities and beaches. Owners provided a much appreciated welcome basket and are very nice and approachable if you need anything. Would definitely stay again.

Fully matches the advertised spec and pictures. I would definitely consider rebooking this accomodation in the future.

"Really well equipped and comfortable accommodation."
Would not hesitate to book again if in the area.

"Woodlands was a great find."
A lovely cottage in a lovely small picturesque village. The accommodation was clean, modern and had everything that we needed. It was a great base, with many local walks to do, and lots of sites to see. Also near to the beach which is a bonus. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a great setting, then this is the place for you. The owners were there if we needed anything (which we didn't) and this was reassuring. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you, Martina & Gareth.

"This is a little gem, as good as the photos, we would highly recommend it."

We will definitely be back to explore more of the surrounding areas

"The accommodation is first class, as is the welcome by the proprietors."
The proprietors are second to none, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Their attitude and friendliness made the whole experience the very best.
-
"We had a fantastic stay looking forward to next time great property, loverly owners."
-
"A wonderful property with all you need to make the most of your holiday, the owner Martina came to see us on first day to welcome us and see if all was ok ,and also came over mid week to check all going well."
Peaceful and quiet ,and easy access to all of north Wales, The photos do not do woodlands justice. And we look forward to going there again.
-
"This is a delightful cottage that is even better than the pictures show."
It has everything that you could need for a relaxing time away. The hosts are great Martina was very kind and helpful which made the stay even more pleasant. There is so much to do in the area and we loved every minute.
-
"The cottage is exactly as described, it’s spacious and the lounge is a lovely relaxing space, with many windows and skylights to keep the daylight shining brightly during the day and int9 the evening."
It’s a very private cottage, away from the village and on a really quiet road. It was immaculately cleaned and the instructions for Covid during our stay and when we departed very clear and simple. We loved our stay in North Wales and this cottage is ideally placed to explore the area and surrounding sites. We loved the beach at Talacre, which is only 2 or 3 miles away. Great to meet the owners and knowing they are next door if needed gives added security.
-
"Beautiful property located 5 minutes from the sea."
Well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and great outside space. Hosts were lovely and extremely helpful. (Welcome basket was a lovely touch)
-
"Lovely accomodation with great hosts."
Cottage is great inside and the main picture on the Sykes website doesn't do it justice. The view should really be taken looking at the lounge and bifold doors. Great area to be and would certainly come back

"What a lovely & most welcoming arrival by Martina the owner of this most ..."
What a lovely & most welcoming arrival by Martina the owner of this most beautiful & most relaxing week at Woodlands as per previous guests comments echoed and concluded
-
"Woodlands is a beautiful house, excellent facilities, lovely owners, beautiful Surroundings and everything you need to make your stay perfect."
We would will be going again.
-
"Just to confirm that we had a lovely relaxing stay at the Woodlands and the welcome from the owner (Martina) was exceptionally warm ."
She made us feel very much at home. The only issue that we had with the holiday in the area and this had nothing to do with the accommodation, is that many local attractions which we would have liked to have visited at this time required bookings ahead of the visits because of the Covid situation so because of the time constraint we didn't get to see as much as we would have liked
-
"It’s a beautiful cottage, secluded garden view, not overlooked, beautifully designed, stone wall and sunroofs bringing the outside in!"
Comfortable, ideal to explore Wales around with a local beach 5mins drive nearby! We had rabbits visit the cottage garden every evening which was cherry on the cake. Martina is a fantastic host:) We can’t wait to go back there again soon!
-
"This is a lovely cottage in a tidy little village in a beautiful part of the country."
We had days out in Chester, Conwy & Bangor which are all within easy reach. Returning for a relaxing evening in this well equipped & comfy cottage, we've not slept this well for ages. Great facilities, great hosts, great time.
-
"Very nice cottage, the bed was so comfy, the rocker chair was fantastic but there was only one so we had to take turns."
.. The kitchen cupboards where so neatly set out, something you don't see very often with lots of room to put your own items. Great walks from the door. The owners where very nice and helpful.
-
"We had a wonderful stay at woodlands."
Owners were lovely. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
-
"The cottage was clean and well maintained."
Very relaxing stay and the owners went over and beyond to make sure we had a good stay.
-
"We had a great stay at Woodlands in August 2020."
The cottage is a lovely old stone building, tastefully converted and containing the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, with a modern extension providing a large, comfortable living space. The whole cottage was spotlessly clean, probably the cleanest we’ve ever seen, which is very reassuring at the moment. The owners were great hosts, happy to check you had everything you need before leaving you to it, whilst the welcome pack was very thoughtful, even including hand sanitiser. The cottage had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the area was very peaceful. Great!
-
"From start to finish, this property was lovely in every way including the exceptional host Martina who always interested in our needs/requirements."
Beautiful conversion & great location for exploring North Wales plus the weather was kind to us. The village is very quiet but you are very close to Prestatyn for food shopping etc The cottage is superbly equipped & laid out with even a new Barbeque which was delivered whilst we were there. Bedrooms are large & comfy with a well equipped bathroom with separate shower & bath. We spent a day shopping at Cheshire Oaks which is only 1/2hr by car & the rest of the time sight seeing around Snowdonia Park & Angelesey. Great fish & chips at Conwy & a nice place to visit. We will return when visiting this part of the country again. Thanks again Martina & well done to Gareth for such a smart conversion !!!!
