  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."

Typical quinticensial cottage. Trudy was very welcoming and quick to respond if we needed anything. Also the welcome bread, honey, fruit cake and prosecco was a lovely touch and very much enjoyed. Only feedback is that I would provide is that 9am checkout is very early. Even us early birds found it a bit of a rush. However this would not detract from the fab stay we had at the cottage.

  • "The cottage was as described and perfect for our stay."

The only thing we would have liked was some kind of basic written instruction on the practical features of the house e.g. how to use the heating system. We saw previous feedback on this and someone advised that they had put something together as there wasn't anything, but unfortunately this was not there. It also would have been nice to turn off the external lights so that we could get the benefit of being in such a beautiful place with so little light pollution.

  • "We had a lovely week at Bronwydd."

The cottage is picturesque and cosy. There are great walks from the cottage, the dogs loved going up to the tin man daily and the beach is only a short walk away. We did have to wash nearly all the kitchenware before use and the tiled floors weren’t very clean, but all in all we had a great holiday and would definitely return.

  • "We spent a lovely week in Bronwydd."

This is without doubt the loveliest and best located cottage we have stopped in. The views from the cottage are stunning and there are wonderful walks from the door. We were blessed with lovely weather all week, it couldn’t have been better. Llanbedrog is a beautiful little village and there is plenty to see and do in the area. Snowdonia is only a short drive away. A special mention regarding the welcome pack which was full of local goodies and far exceeded anything we have had before. We definitely plan to return.

Cannot fault the experience at all. The cottage lived up to all expectations again. Trudy Valentine is a great owner and lovely lady and the cleaning staff did and impeccable job under covid19 conditions. Have booked again for next year our 8th visit.

  • "The property details does not say that this property it up a very high hill, there is no pavement and the windy road is literally only wide enough for 1 vehicle."

Because of this, every time we went out, we had to go by car as there is no way either myself (who has Osteoarthritis in both knees and Astma) or my husband (who has a metal rod in his leg and a bursa in his right knee) could do that walk. Going is the car was the only option, but I prayed that we did not meet a car going the opposite way as 1 of the cars would have to reverse. Thank God i wasn't driving. We could not go out at night as we did not want to do that drive on the narrow road. The details state it was good for Families, but when we drove up or down the hill, the car was so close to the edges that any people walking could not stand aside as there was no room, but woukd have to walk to a house entrance to allow the vehicle passed. The details state the bathroom has a double ended bath but there are taps and a plug at one end. There was a Lazy spa on the patio, but was not plugged in and the water in it looked dirty, so couldnt plug it in to heat up, to use. It needed to be drained, ckeaned and fresh water going in it. Details state that heating, coal and logs for the open fire are included, but we arrived on Monday evening 16/03 and had to ask for logs the next morning. When we arrived back in the cottage later that day, there were 5 e tra logs. The bext morning I had to ask again for logs and coal. I received a text reply saying there is some coal in the bunker, help yourself, but when we looked there was maximum of 3 small bucket fulls. My husband had to go out and buy a logs and kindling on 3 separate occasions at our expense of £15. We had to have the fire lit as the electric heaters are from the 1970s and not enough to keep the cottage warm. Also, it advertised a secure garden, however at the bottom of the garden on the right hand corner there looked like there is some work in progress. We let our dog out in the garden the first night to have a wee before bed, and she went missing through the opening and over the fields. My husband had to go looking for her and the drop at the point of the opening is 1.2metres. Therefore, had to climb down the drop, then when the dog came back he had to lift the dog up to the garden. At the other side of the gap in the wall there was some farming equipment close by. Luckily, it wasnt that close to injure either my dog when she jumped, or my husband when he climbed down the wall. Please ensure that all details of properties are correct when advertising. I would not stay there again.

  • "Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and decorated lovely."

Booked for 6 adults and 3 infants, was a bit of a squeeze as two of the beds were on the landing so privacy was a bit of an issue and it was very noisy in every room as walls were thin but overall it was a stunning property and I would visit again but with less people.

My children and I stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of November. We were welcomed to a very clean, tidy and cosy cottage. Our arrival time was a little later than expected so Trudy very kindly had the open fire lit ready for our arrival, most welcoming indeed. The cottage has everything you would need, a home from home with stunning views. The only downfall was we had to leave.

Children and dogs safe in enclosed very attractive well kept garden. Cottage itself was very clean and generally very well equipped - though some curious omissions such as a bar-b-que, a can opener that works and no cheese grater ! The linen provided was lovely and Beds made up which was very welcome after long journey. The owner left fresh flowers and a bottle of Proseco too which was a lovely touch and again much appreciated.. Altogether a lovely stay and would definitely think about coming back.
