We really enjoyed our stay at the property. I will definitely recommend this house and sykescottages to others. We had some issues with the heating when we arrived, we called sykescottages emergency helpline who were very helpful and the issue was resolved promptly. On a positive note there was plenty of cutlery at the property, 2 towels on each bed, spacious fridge etc. Some suggestions: 1: Smart TV with netflix 2: Some toys for the kids 3: A bit more light in the lounge .

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay . We will consider carefully your suggestions and discuss the provision of toys with our cleaning company. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful one week stay at Hafan y Mor in Aug 2022."

There was plenty of space for 3 ppl, but since there are two showers even 7 should be ok. The house and also the bathroom were clean. Nothing at all to complain. Everything we needed was there (even some games were in the dining room and a selection of books in the living room) and also the kitchen was fully equipped (only thing missing was a simple whisk). Two things to mention for the owner - the left window in the bedroom with the kingsize bed does not seal completely, some wind and mist came through during a stormy and rainy night - having coffee, tea and sugar is very nice, but maybe you would like to upgrade to sealed teabags, instant coffee and sugar. Saw this in another apartment recently and it simply feels better. All in all a very nice place to stay, would recommend.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. I will certainly make sure a whisk is bought and will look at the suggestion re tea, coffee etc. Thank you for your suggestions. Property Owner

Nice accommodation, large kitchen with plenty of room. We were a family of 6 all adults so with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms we were not on top of each other. The only gripes I have is the front door locks and key safe is to low down

Thank you for your feedback. We will review the site of the key box and ensure the lock is maintained or changed. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

We loved the old documents on the wall which showed the history of the house and its previous residents. All modern conveniences provided, including dishwasher and washing machine. Short walk to the west shore and the rail station. Good road links. We loved the coastal walk to Conwy. The only slight criticism was that the towels and tea towels could have been cleaner/fresher.

It was extremely well equipped. The location was fantastic and we loved it. Only issue was the garden which was a mess. I noticed it had been written on the visitors book that it was being landscaped this autumn. It only needed the grass cutting and weeds removing from the pavement and it would have been fine. Bit of a shame really. Looking forward to going back again and enjoying the new garden.

  • "A lovely spacious house close to a beautiful unspoilt beach and within easy walking distance of Llandudno centre."

The house is very roomy with plenty of space for a large family group. The kitchen is huge and packed with everything you will need including dishwasher, double oven, microwave, hob, pots, pans, cutlery and all sorts of other gadgets including an orange press! Plastic tumblers are also provided which were useful for the kids. The bedrooms were all good sizes, only one double bed but adults reported the single ones were very comfortable. There is a downstairs shower room and w/c plus upstairs bathroom with large shower and bath, both were very modern and clean. The house has a large entrance porch which was handy for storing sandy wellies and coats. Fishing nets, a bucket and wind break for the beach are also in the porch. There is a long stretch of beach just one street away which our children loved exploring, a playground sits just behind the beach on the right, alongside a boating pool. In the opposite direction there is a beach cafe which has very good reviews. There is a convenience store and chip shop just a two minute walk to the right of the property. We enjoyed exploring Llandudno and its pier but the real winner for us was discovering Conwy, a ten minute drive away. The castle at Conwy is fabulous and the town has a lovely array of cafes and independent shops plus a great chippy overlooking the harbour. Nonetheless, we would definitely stay in Llandudno again as it has more to do and, from what we saw, much bigger beaches. Thank you for a lovely week. Our son said it all on the last day: 'I don't want to leave Wales!'

  • "We were not expecting to be the first occupants in this renovated property; everything was new!"

We have given slightly less than full marks for comfort as the springiness of the bed was not to our taste, but this is just a personal preference. We had taken the grandchildren for their annual few days away from mum and dad and they really liked the choice of things to do in the area. Unfortunately after a sizzling summer, the weather was typically Welsh, but this did not cause us too much of a problem and we were able to visit the Great Orme by cable car and tram, take some exhilarating rides on the Fforest Coaster at Zip World and generally explore the ruggedness of Snowdonia and the sandy beaches of Llandudno. Had we needed them, the house was well stocked with board games, but by the time we arrived back in the evenings, after a full day, it was time for bed.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
