  • "Absolutely fabulous week in Vale House."

4 big bedrooms, 2 downstairs sitting areas worked great for two families. Perfect location in the center, but very quiet street. Everything really clean and owner checked in to make sure how we would like the rooms set-up, did we get in ok, etc. Just super all round.

Thank you for taking the time to leave the lovely review. I am glad that you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely holiday and it was the cleanest holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in."

The owner was really kind and checked we had / knew everything we needed. (Just the peeler can’t handle a butternut squash!) Lots to do in Llandudno for a young family and the cottage was near to the pier / cafes and restaurants.

  • "This is a lovely property in the centre of Llandudo so only a short walk to beach, pier, local restaurants, shops and takeaways."

The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived and there was a welcome pack which was a nice touch. The owner greeted us and left contact details in case there were any problems (which there weren't). The house is spacious and very well equipped and also has two sitting out areas. There were three generations of our family staying together and we had a lovely time and there was plenty nearby to do for people of all ages.

  • "We had a great week here in Aug 22."

The House was nicely furnished and very well equipped. All the rooms and bedrooms were large and spacious. The top floor was like a private suite. We had breakfast 3 times in the small back yard area which was very nice with the sun shining. The location was great...5mins to the tramway,5mins to the shops & 10mins walk to the beach. We had reservations about being only one toilet for 8 of us but this never proved to be a issue. The owner who we met was very nice and left us a lovely welcome pack. We would stay her again and would recommend the property. Parking was not an issue( We had three cars in our party)plenty 0f free on street parking near by.

The house had everything we needed, with comfortable beds and a great shower. Plenty of space for our party of 5, and the welcome pack was also excellent, thank you! Parking wasn't an issue as there were plenty of spaces in surrounding streets. We hope to return again and would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Vale House is a very lovely spacious house."

It is well equipped, and beautifully presented. There was plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out and also come together to eat and relax. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the outside patio areas were a great bonus. The house is well positioned close to the promenade, shops and restaurants. Parking was not an issue - we were able to find a space very quickly in the nearby streets. The owner was very helpful and added little touches to welcome us - fresh flowers and a few luxuries for our first night. On top of that the weather was glorious - a fantastic holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your wonderful review. I am glad that you had a fantastic two week holiday and you found the house comfortable during the national heatwave! Property Owner

It is tastefully furnished and has quality pictures throughout. It had plenty of books and games to keep a family happy all week. Although it is not possible to park outside the property it was easy to find free parking close by. The owner of the property was most accommodating.

  • "I booked Vale House for my family including 5 children."

The house was very spacious over all floors and decorated to a very high standard indeed with lots of lovely small touches and artwork that made it feel very special indeed. Great location which is only minutes from the town, beach front and lots of lovely café’s and restaurants. The owner was absolutely fantastic too making us feel so very welcome and before we got there she added more board and children’s games to the house as the weather forecast was looking a little wet. We were also left a lovely little welcome pack of goodies too which was full of treats and drinks. Fantastic communication the whole time we were there as and when we needed it and I felt not only did we have a great holiday but also feel like we made a new friend in the owner. Highly recommended!

Thank you for this wonderful review. I am glad the weather turned out better than expected and you were able to enjoy a good family holiday. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely holiday in Llandudno made even better by the decision to stay at Vale House."

The property is in a quiet road close to the town with all the equipment and facilities provided. The house was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar was also provided so we could make a nice cuppa before unpacking. A bottle of wine and some chocolates together with flowers in the bedroom were an especially nice touch. Communication with the owner (Denise) was very good prior to our visit and even while we were there she made contact to ensure everything was okay. Although there isn’t any parking at the property we easily found spaces in local roads not far away and this was not a problem to us. We would definitely stay here if we holiday in Llandudno again.

  • "Amazing stay."

Beautiful property, perfect location, comfy beds, fluffy towels and a great shower. Host had left us some ‘essentials’ which was amazing to be welcomed with. Would highly recommend. A few bits and bobs would have made it even more perfect…. Bins in bedrooms and bathrooms, hooks on doors and a shower caddy but these are absolutely not essential and purely personal preference. A lovely lovely stay and very helpful owner

  • "The key safe access code sent to us by Sykes was entirely wrong, leaving us standing with all our luggage in the pouring rain unable to get into the property."

Cleanliness of the property was below that expected; rubbish left in the bedside cabinets, under the sofa and under the beds. We also found a pair of used socks in one of the beds, suggesting that the bed linen had not been changed between guests; particularly disappointing in the post-COVID era. Kitchen could be better equipped; a dishwasher would be welcome.

Thank you for your review.I am sorry to hear the standard of cleanliness didn't meet your expectations .The bed linen was changed prior to your arrival as it always is on changeover days and the rubbish was removed. It is a shame you didn't contact me during your stay as I would have been able to address any issues straight away. The property has never been advertised as having a dishwasher. Property Owner

Perhaps its most winning feature is its wonderful round-the-corner location to the strand, pier and shopping main street. Asda and the railway station (Llandudno) are nearby and Aldi, Argos, McDonalds etc, a 10 minute drive across town. The property

Not far from the main high street in the popular seaside town of Llandudno, is this wonderful three-storey property, 17 Bodhyfryd Road.

Bring your family to this classic house boasting large rooms with plenty of space for everyone, or perhaps this property will be the perfect place to catch up with old friends in this bustling town.

Enter and be struck by the beauty of the stripped-back original wooden floorboards and high ceilings, as you turn towards the sitting room, where two large sofas sit around the beautiful feature fireplace, accompanied by the flatscreen TV, you can spend a rainy afternoon in here watching your favourite films or shows using the Amazon firestick.

Opposite is the dining room, where you can look forward to sitting down to a family meal every night for some simple quality time, making the delicious meals at the back of the house in the contemporary-meets-country kitchen.

Wooden farm-style doors, a Belfast sink and wooden worktops feature alongside modern appliances like the electric oven and hob, and large fridge/freezer to ensure you have everything you need for the best self-catering experience possible.

Heading upstairs onto the first-floor half-landing is where you can find the exquisite bathroom containing a very inviting claw-foot freestanding bath tub, where you can spend an hour or so relaxing in this bright open room, with a separate WC with basin next door.

Ascend the rest of the stairs after a long day and rest your head on the super-king-size bed, keep your personal items in the antique wooden dresser, and drape your jacket over the back of the plush chair by the large bay windows, drenching the room with light when you throw the curtains open in the next morning.

A twin room also lies on this floor, with a king sized bed, whilst upstairs the second floor hosts two more bedrooms; a king-size and a children's room.

A vintage rocking horse sits next to the TV in the children's room, as well as a single bed which houses a trundle pull-out bed.

In the summer months, choose from either of the two enclosed courtyards, to the front or back, wherever the sun is, both benefiting from outdoor seating and table, so enjoy some alfresco dining in the evening or perhaps just sip a cold drink with friends before heading out for dinner at one of the many restaurants available in Llandudno.

You'll find the town to be a charming place, with features that still echo to their original period such as the Llandudno Pier, originally built in 1878 and still using its original wrought iron frame it still retains its Victorian elegance, referred to as some as the "Queen of Welsh Piers".

The Great Orme is a fantastic cycling outing if you like slow-burning hills alongside spectacular views, with many planned routes easily available to take you around the area, or hop on the Wales Coast Path, you can visit a neighbouring town or village and stop for some tea and cake.

17 Bodhyfryd Road will be your grand home-from-home in North Wales, where you can enjoy sun, sea and cycling and so much more.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
