It was in a lovely location with good access to abersoch. The accommodation was as advertised with plenty of room inside and out.. the hot tub was well used and lovely & clean. We would definitely love to stay again.

  • "Firstly the property location is spot on, its about 0."

8 mile away from abersoch and in a good spot to reach the other beaches but out of the way so that's its quiet, the house is laid out well with a good choice of bedrooms throughout. Hot tub is a great size and is both undercover and near to the back door, Derek one of the owners attended ever day to do the daily checks but never intruded, the garden is a really good size also with a BBQ and seating area. internet speed was good at 16mg download which ran netflix fine, if every one is on the internet it will of course be slowed down. All in all it was mint, big thank you to the owners Derek and Angie for taking the time to send an email with suggestions of where to get food and other useful information and telephone numbers and providing a lovely place to spend our break. Thank you party of 7 inc a 3year old plus 2 dogs

  • "We had a brilliant week."

The cottage was lovely. The hot tub was amazing. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. We had a slight problem with the hot tub which was sorted very quickly. We had forgotten to take a pushchair for our grandson and within a hour they had borrowed one for us. On the last day we were invited to go and feed the alpacas which was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend

Garden was fantastic for the dog and allowed us to relax in the hot tub whilst keeping an eye on him. We met Derek on a couple of occasions and he was extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Hells Mouth beach only 20 minute walk. The Sun Inn pub only 5 minutes walk !! Owners were very prompt in answering questions or fixing small issues we had. A happy week we had.

It is cleaned to an extremely high standard and has everything you could possibly need....and more! The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and spacious. The garden is lovely and private, with the added bonus of the hot tub! Locally there are so many lovely beaches, perfect for dogs and children! We had such a good time, we are already planning our next trip here!

  • "This house was ideal for our purposes, which was a family holiday, grandparents and two families with children from toddler to age 8."

The owners were extremely helpful with requests for help. The hot tub was checked every day. We had a lovely holiday in this house where everything has been thought of. No complaints at all. Additional comment to Sykes Cottages: Travel cots do not have integral mattresses, only a board base. Our owners supplied a suitable mattress substitute as soon as we asked. It would be helpful if it were made clear in brochures that cot mattresses are or are not available.

  • "Location of the cottage was fantastic, a short walk to the pub, slightly longer walk into Abersoch and/or the beach."

Cottage catered for our party in very way. Plenty of rooms and facilities for all. Hot tub was a great feature which we made plenty of use of, come rain or shine we used it and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves in it. Lots of entertainment features, Netflix, dvds, board games and garden. Stair gates were a great feature to ensure that dogs stayed downstairs, would have been nice to have a door that firmly shuts to the kitchen to shut them in the kitchen for the evening, but we adapted. Loved the massive kitchen and the separate bar area, meaning we could store the drinks away from the main food fridge. Great holiday cottage and couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

The kitchen area was brilliant we felt we needed another fridge as with all Christmas groceries we never had enough storage we needed our cool boxes We felt we should of had a daily supply of wood as when we arrived it was dark and Christmas and everywhere was closed until after Christmas so never managed to get any until after . Great location perfect settings we did have a super Christmas

We had three vehicles and parked with ease. The comfiest night sleep ever, proper down duvets and pillows The kitchen was more than equipped and the hot tub was amazing. Do not listen to the reviews saying the hot tub man was intrusive, he definitely was not! • "Although we had until 10."

00 am. to vacate the cottage, someone arrived at 9.10am. to attend to the hot tub which I felt was intrusive . The cutlery and crockery were not clean and had to be washed before use, this may be due to a poorly performing dish washer. The tumble dryer filter was clogged with thick fluff and wouldn't work until thoroughly unclogged! There were dog faeces on the grass which was trodden in on our first day! We actually had a great holiday, these minor niggles didn't spoil anything but I feel more attention to detail by the cleaning staff would ensure top ratings for this lovely cottage.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
