  • "We had the most wonderful stay."

Paul and Katy were fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The fact that they went above and beyond to get us an ironing board on an extremely icy morning was much appreciated. The home itself was beautiful and well equipped with everything that we needed. We loved coming back to the warm and welcoming home after we had been out in the cold. We would absolutely recommend this home and would definitely return here.

  • "We were really happy with the property."

The owners were extremely helpful when we requested a very last minute change. Paul made certain that everything was ok for us and I'm sure he would have been very happy to deal with any issues if we did have any, but everything was spot on throughout the stay. It was also clear from how busy their pub next door is that they also run that extremely well. The meals we had there were good, homecooked food and the service was spot on.

  • "The barn was very well equipped, very comfortable and the 3 en-suite bedrooms made this a practical option for a mixed family group to stay together."

The hosts, Paul and Katy (and all the staff) were on hand throughout and did everything possible to make our stay successful. We had a meal in the pub and had plenty of choice with the varied and well cooked menu. We would love to come back in the future.

  • "Really lovely cottage and very friendly and helpful owners, absolutely perfect size for our party of six adults."

We booked the cottage for a short break whilst in the area for a family wedding and the location was perfect. Only comment would have been that we would have preferred a few extra pillows but I'm sure had we asked they would have been provided - the owners really were fantastic and readily available. Minimal noise from the pub next door and the menu looked fantastic. We'll definitely be going back, it's a perfect base to explore such a beautiful area.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Barn 3."

The owners were welcoming and friendly and checked in regularly over the weekend to make sure we were okay. The house was lovely, and there was plenty of space for 9 of us. The facilities were excellent and the barn was a lovely finish. The only thing that we found was that there could’ve been another toilet, with one room sleeping 5 people, there was sometimes a queue for the loo. Also the outside patio had an unpleasant aroma of the wind was blowing the wrong way, and it was quite a strong drainage smell. Other than that, we would absolutely recommend and return to this property.

  • "We had a great stay with the whole family joining us."

Even though we were 8 people and a dog, the barn was superb. The Pub next door was handy and served very good pub grub and drinks. Paul, Katy and their team were brilliant and really friendly. The Dee valley has so much to do, that we hardly ventured out of it. I’d like think that it won’t be our last visit.

  • "An absolutely beautiful property, with everything you would need and a superb finish indoors and out."

We visited over the Christmas/New Year break and were delighted to have a gorgeous Christmas tree in the property. Despite the owners being very busy running the onsite pub, they couldn't have been more attentive, helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they really made you feel welcome and valued. We stayed in barn 3 with my grown up children, their other halves, our 11 month old granddaughter & 16 year old dog. I can honestly say each of us was completely catered for in every way, even down to ensuring our dog had treats and lots of fuss. Returning to the barn each day was a real pleasure and each of us had a lovely communal space to share and the large bedrooms ensured each couple also had their privacy. I cooked most evenings but the food in the pub looked and smelt amazing, we shall definitely make more use of the pub when we return. Would highly recommend hiring here.

  • "We had an amazing 3 nights stay at Barn 3."

The cottage is spotless and has all the facilities needed. Paul and Katy, the owners are lovely and offered lots of information on the area. We did have a meal at the pub also owned by them and unfortunately the food didn't meet our expectations but nevertheless we had a nice experience overall.
