  • "Very nice little cottage, nice and cosy."

The road outside was busy but did not cause us any problems. I did try contacting both the mobile phone numbers we were given for a couple of small issues but no one got back to us. Overall great place, had every thing you needed.

Hi, glad you had a good stay. Apologies I did get a voicemail but I was away on holiday on a ship so didnt get it until after you had left and David was unfortunately ill that week. If you are unable to contact us again then please do contact Sykes and they will email us. Thanks Property Owner

  • "Not good first impression as mop and bucket left outside front door on arrival ."

Underneath of front doormat not been swept. No bed linen on beds ( this was later rectified after a phone call and had been a problem with laundry service ). Walls in need of a coat of paint inside. No big bin bags left for rubbish and no welcome pack eg dishwasher tablet. Lots of dead moths inside property. No attached outdoor space for dog although across road from park. Dripping tap in kitchen. Kitchen equipped well apart from no large serving bowls. Dishwasher worked as did oven. Shower in working order and lounge/dining area good for purpose. Busy road as described but we weren't troubled too much by it during the night.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Hafan."

The property was modern and well maintained the owner definitely looks after the property. It was very warm and cosy in the property. All facilities were good and location was exceptionally good. It was also good that we had off road parking spaces as well. My only negative points were how close it was to the road, even though it was advertised as that I didn’t expect it to be as close as it was, we managed but at times was quite scary especially due to the speed of passing traffic. Also the sofas weren’t very comfortable for sitting on and watching a movie. However, on a whole we did thoroughly enjoy our stay at Hafan and would recommend it to friends and family. The owner has created a lovely property and we thank them for our stay.

  • "Lovely place."

Very clean. Close to amenities. Scenic. Handy Parking. Well organised. Spacious. Only downside was the traffic on the road. Very busy and kept me awake. Little dangerous stepping out into the road as the doorway is so close to the busy road but it was mentioned so we were aware. There was a musty smell at the doorway which had previously been mentioned but it does disappear once in the property.

  • "This cottage has everything you need, it smells a little of damp near the front door as you enter abd it's a bit dull downstairs due to not much natural light, but it's a lovely little cottage, and suited our meets perfectly."

Having Aldi, home bargains and the park a river literally on the doorstep is perfect! And it's a 2 min walk into the town. The bedrooms are spacious and it has been tastefully restored, sofas are super comfy and it has every you need for a comfortable weekend

  • "Lovely property but living space was really tiny for our party of 5 adults."

We had to purchase another Air b&b for our weeks stay. The other issue was that the front door opened up right onto a very busy road. The parking area was also just off the very busy road and difficult to manouvre unless someone was helping. On a positive note, very centrally located

  • "This was a really lovely cottage, very homely and nicely decorated throughout."

Within a stone throw of the park and river, really handy for quick dog walks and to tire the children out. It was also a lovely walk into town. Despite being on a very main road, it was a really great location and I would definitely consider coming back. Might try out all three of the cottages over time :)

We kept reading about the road, and yes it is close to it, but didn’t disturb or cause a problem. The park was literally across the road and views were stunning. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfy and enjoyable. Great location, would definitely return.

dishwasher, hoover, iron , It was clean, tidy and decorated and styled to a high standard . The location was perfect , literally across the road from a small play area , Aldi, beautiful views and lovely stream / river too, no more than a 10 min walk into the town , filled with cafes, shops, pubs . On a personal level , we needed to contact the owners directly once we left , as my step daughter had left her air pods ! The owner was so accommodating and helpful , kindly went back into the property to find them , which he did and sent them straight back to us . Fantastic around , we had a wonderful time and would most definitely return to the property . Great service all round

It was all there. I could make only very minor criticism - we had by and large golden weather for superb walks - but had we had a wet week with 5 of us wed have felt a bit crowded in the lounge. You can leave that bit out - all was so comfortable. Thank you.

  • "We were anxious that the property was so close to a high traffic road, and we appreciated that the double glazing was good so that we almost did not hear the traffic; and anyway it was very calm at night."

It was good to have plenty of space for off-road parking, but at the same time it was sometimes a bit difficult to get out of it because the wall hides incoming vehicles. Maybe a mirror could help.

The cottage is neat and beautifully restored, everything is there you might need. Superb heating and everything works perfectly. It's on a busy road which might bother some, but was not a problem for me as traffic eases off overnight. i would recommend this stay to anybody wanting a base in Llangollen, there is so much to do and see there and beautiful town full of curios and nice food to try. A trip out on the nostalgic train was well worth a day, and we ate a superb lunch at the Grouse Pub in Cairog. The Viaduct and canal also impressive and lovely. Wales is beautiful indeed and here you can stay and explore without it costing a fortune.
