  • "Overall the property was well equipped, we all enjoyed our stay."

A few issue…we noticed a camera in the kitchen. An Alex spot device. Not sure if this was being watch but made feel very uncomfortable. Device was unplugged soon as we noticed it. Yes, there was a camera on this device Also, there’s a camera on the outside of the property. I understand the means of having a surveillance camera for security of the property but we felt like this was watching us. The camera was pointing in to the conservatory 70% of the time where we was playing games, and watching tv. We also had an issue with locking the door inside the property. We pulled up the handle and tried to lock the door. Same as any other pvc door. Unfortunately after a few days of locking the door on the inside we broke the key, due to door lock was very stiff. We obviously got a new key for the door, receipt was left in key box. It was about 10 mins drive down to normal roads, the rest is off road/private road very narrow. My tow bar was catching a lot, maybe due to weight in vehicle. 2 gates on property to open and close. Looks like there was meant to be a light in the back garden but had been cut. Unfortunately we couldn’t see if the dogs was safe or got out the gate. The gate did open with the wind on a few occasions. Also no information what to do with the bins. One bin for a family of seven wasn’t the best. Would probably stay again if issue was resolved. Especially the camera issue.

With regards to the Alexa device, the device is there for whomever wants to listen to some music whilst cooking in the kitchen. There is no live feed / camera recording on it and it can easily be switched off should guests not want to use it. The CCTV camera outside covers the parking area outside the conservatory and the drive leading to the property, it does not cover inside the property. Our property is in a very remote location and the camera has been installed for security reasons. There is signage there clearly making you aware that there is CCTV in operation. Should you have contacted us with your concerns at the time we would have happily advised you to switch the camera off whilst you were in the property. With regards to the access to the property, it can be seen in the advert from Menai that this property is located in a rural area and as such there is nothing we can do about the access road. The green bin would have been adequate had you of made use of the four recycling bins provided. The light at the rear again could have easily been resolved had you have made contact with us. We will look into this now that we are aware. Thanks for your feedback Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful, peaceful week here."

Well equipped and in an amazing location with views all round. The secure back garden is great if you have dogs and the property itself was spotlessly clean. Thank you so much to the owner/staff. If you want a quiet, get away from it all, break then this is the property for you. Our only recommendation is to use the ‘What3words’ function to find it as our Satnav could not hack it! Overall, highly recommended

  • "We had another fantastic time at the cottage, grandkids and the dog love it there, plenty of room to run around outside."

There are a few Games for inside play and outside fun too. Lovely and clean, everything you need is there. Cliff and Gill are lovely and will help out at the drop of a hat. They even had a new mattress delivered, whilst we were there. We have been there three times now, with no issues what so ever. And definitely will be going again next year.

My only issue was with the mattresses they were awful the double bed that attached to the room with the 3 singles is so bad you can feel the wooden slats of the bed frame all 4 of us adults left at the end of the week complaining of back pain due to the beds even the kids were very uncomfortable in the beds and the pillows are well past there best and need replacing

  • "Fron Oleu is in a really peaceful location and the views to Caernarfon Bay and Mount Snowdon are spectacular, the Conservatory is large and comfortably furnished."

. The long driveway to the cottage does involve getting out of the car and opening and closing 2 farm gates to safeguard livestock, this was no hardship as the weather was wonderful all week, may be a different story for anyone staying in wet weather. Apart from the top of the unit storing the towels, which had thick dust on it in bathroom, the cottage was clean , tidy and well equipped. There were a couple of niggles, the first being there is only 1 double wardrobe to be shared with all 3 bedrooms which is inadequate, and there are no equipment instructions for the Smart TV, luckily my husband is a tech enthusiast but not everyone is. We would still highly recommend this cottage as the peaceful location is second to none, best views of any of the previous cottages we have stayed at over many many years. Mrs H Wood and family.

  • "The facilities of the property are amazing."

There are so many little 'extras' that make it much more comfortable and friendly for families such as the bbq, the games, puzzles, DVDs, books and even the binoculars, because the views are breathtaking. The property feels like a proper cosy home and we were devastated to have to leave. We will definitely be visiting again, as we'd love to spend some time tucked away during Winter. There are too many good points to list but literally everything has been thought of and catered for, down to pegs for the washing lines!

Great for dogs, lots of walks and private grassy areas around the cottage, all securely gated. We will be rebooking.

  • "Spent a very happy week in this cottage."

The view across the Nantlle valley is spectacular, and we had a whole week of sunrises and sunsets to enjoy, in fact we were quite happy to spend the whole day at the place enjoying the sunshine. Its a very quiet location, and the cottage is well-appointed, there's pretty much everything you need, including a few things you might not expect - like new toothbrushes in case you've forgotten yours. Highly recommended!

  • "Great location, Beautiful views from cottage."

The cottage had everything we needed. It was very spacious.Kids loved it as well and so did the whole family. Unfortunately the height of the roof of bedroom was really low that we kept headbutting the room which was an inconvenience. Also the doors didn't have the locks which was also an inconvenience. Other than that it was a good holiday cottage at beautiful location.
