  • "Lovely friendly hosts and superb location with excellent views."

The cottage is equipped with the majority of things you need, however there was an absence of a few things like a dust pan and brush, which I couldn't find. There was a hoover shared by the 3 cottages in the block which we shared with the other guests staying, we have 2 very hairy dogs so it would have been handy if each cottage had their own. A couple of dish washer tablets would have been handy although there was some washing up liquid. We were concerned however about the fixing of the front door, which requires some remedial work.

  • "Fantastic location, great property and the owners of the property couldn't have been nicer or friendlier."

We will definitely be back. The only criticisms we could make are the kitchen units were in poor condition and could do with new doors and the shower head holder was at an angle that meant it was very difficult to use. Oh and the bolt on the stable door was a spoon. They are minor things but relatively cheap and easy to rectify and would make a great property into an even more amazing one.

It was dirty , rusty and broken toys and swings and frames were full of bird excrement . Such a shame as this was partly why I booked this place .the owners were lovely and very friendly

  • "The cottage we stayed in at Rhosyddd Bach was Bwthyn y Dderwen (Oak Cottage)."

It was absolutely beautiful inside and so atmospheric. The courtyard it stands in aids itself to be a real social area with the adjoining cottages and outside tables which we sat out on during the day and at night. The views surrounding the cottage are amazing and it is so peaceful there. Our hosts were so warm, very welcoming and very accommodating and totally respected our privacy during our stay. We all felt so at home. I would recommend going to Rhosydd Bach courtyard cottages to anyone.

We had to fix shower head, which had been reported on numerous occations, frying pan dirty and unusable, lamp minus it's shade and duvets grotty and greatly in need of replacement. Would not return to Oak Cottage I'm afraid

  • "We enjoyed our stay in Oak Cottage as a base for exploring quite a wide area as we wanted to visit Bardsey Island, Anglesey and Snowdonia all of which were easily accessible."

The cottage was clean, homely and well presented. We were greeted by the owner and had a very welcoming reception. As a previous review mentioned, the shower is not great! It sprays water where the hose meets the head and as there is no bath, this is the only means of washing but we did get used to it and mentioned it in the Visitor's Book as requiring attention. The cottage is set in a very peaceful location which makes it a nice retreat at the end of a busy day. We were not desperately impressed with Pwllheli itself, apart from the Asda which is handy, but there are other locations nearby like Criccieth which are good for eating out.

  • "We had an enjoyable time however the cottage owners need to invest some time in giving the place a good clean and fix things which are out of date or broken."

The shower was unusable, the head leaked and it flew off the wall when turned on. The shower screen was loose too. There was a terrible smell of damp in the bathroom but this was probably due to the shower. The tv in the attic didn’t work and to get the tv in the downstairs bedroom to work you had to mess around with scart leads. The oven turned itself off and only ignited again the following day. The children’s toys and play area is a nice touch but you have to clean and maintain the area otherwise it becomes a bit unsuitable - a simple jet wash would help! Also ensure other guests pick up their dog poo especially in the play area. We had a lovely break but wouldn’t return here, it’s very outdated and a lack of maintenance and care is a shame.

  • "We had a great time."

We have been before so knew what to expect. The owners are lovely people and there is a lot in the cottage. I also took our amazon fire stick and our WIFI box and they worked great. As the weather was wet it was handy to watch films at night. There is WIFI there to and that works fine. The cottage is very clean and tidy and all you could want to stay and visit a lovely part of the world. The stairs are spiral so maybe problematic for some people but take your time and they are fun. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and recommend the cottage.

The owners dogs ran from their accommodation and attacked our dogs as we were preparing to walk them. This was right outside our booked cottage. I quickly picked up my dog and the owners called theirs back. Disappointing. No apology and could have been worse.
