  • "I would strongly recommend this venue."

It is a working small holding. The family are well known in the area , not least as the host puts articles on social media about biodiversity on their land. It is an excellent site from which to explore this beautiful peninsular. If you like nature, birdwatching, sea swimming, visiting ancient churches and monuments, varied geology and, landscape this is a brilliant place to be. It was for the poet R.S. Thomas.

  • "The owners are incredibly friendly but the cottage interior is very, very tired."

It's quite depressing when you're on holiday with the promise of a really nice place to stay, to get there and find kitchen cupboard doors are hanging off, there's a strange bit of collapsed floor in the kitchen covered by a rug, the toilet is leaking, the mouldy shower head is held on with gaffer tape and tie wraps, bathroom mirror is cracked, kitchen extractor has no buttons in it so none of it works. The place although accepting dogs, definitely smells of dog! I'm not sure the kitchen garden existed? It all seemed very idyllic but was disappointing. Someone needs to spend a week repainting, washing rugs, fixing broken items and giving the place a bit of TLC.

  • "This is a beautifully sited property and the owners are lovely,."

My only observation is that it is getting ready for a refresh of decor and some of the internal facilities. It would also benefit from a how to cottage guide, like using the oven and TV and how to log into the WiFi. Also where best to visit in the local area, and if and when there are local markets etc, something I am used to finding in other holiday homes we have visited.

  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage, unfortunately we didn't have the weather to fully use all the facilities (Storm Dudley & Eunice) lovely surroundings & I can imagine in the better weather it would be gorgeous."

There's plenty to do in the area & with an hours drive you can reach so many places. We stayed in Willow cottage which was comfortable if getting to the point of needing updating, the shower door was off the rail, there were a couple of lights not working, just little trivial things, but overall very nice, we'll happily go back there & maybe take the other cottages as well for a large family holiday. The hosts are welcoming & when we had a problem with a toaster they were attentive & the issue was fixed straight away.

  • "The location is excellent and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners was first class."

Friendly but not overbearing is a hard line to achieve and they did it. We were even lent a blender to do our soup with. The facilities were brilliant and the underfloor heating was a blessing when coming in from a brisk, windy walk. We wanted for nothing and having towels supplied was great. The children really enjoyed being on the park and the adults loved ... The silence. No sounds except for birds, sheep and the occasional dog bark. Coming from a city when you can hear traffic all the time it was a Godsend. Our only cons: The mezzanine floor is lovely, but we would recommend at least a heavy pair of curtains over it. Our boys had this room and they struggled to a- get to sleep and b- we woken by the light in the morning. Perhaps some new mattresses would be good... I din't struggle personally, but my daughter in the downstairs bedroom found it a little lumpy.
