Just back from a very enjoyable weeks stay at Pengwern Farm House. We can honestly can say we couldn't really fault it, and was exactly as advertised and what was expected. The owner Glyn was really lovely and was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival. The house itself is totally beautiful and had a very peaceful homely feel about it. The garden, hot tub area and the bike storage/utility area was fabulous, although would maybe like to see a lantern near the hot tub for those dark winter nights. The views were gorgeous and not overlooked ... and having a whole Forest literally as your back garden is really special indeed. The location was totally perfect for us, and everything we came here to do was either local, or just a short drive away. All in all we loved our stay and would not hesitate to book again...and again...and again!!! In fact we've just booked for next year already! :) Would have loved a week next Summer, but now all fully booked unfortunately. Will have to get in there quick for 2019!! Thank you so much Glyn for letting us have use of your beautiful home, it really was perfect for us. See you next year!

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
