The property

A wonderfully spacious detached farmhouse, occupying a prominent position on the edge of the pretty town of Llanrwst with wonderful countryside views along the Conwy river valley.

Plas yn Dre is a great base for family groups and friends wishing to get together and enjoy a fantastic holiday in the beautiful Conwy Valley, perhaps to celebrate that special birthday or anniversary?

This delightful house offers stylish, spacious and homely accommodation and is presented to a good standard with modern day comforts.

There is a real warm welcoming feeling to the place, which is enhanced by the woodburner in the spacious sitting room, perfect for those chillier evenings.

Extending off the sitting room is the sun room which makes an ideal dining area for all the family to sit around and enjoy a meal together or simply reminisce on the day’s adventures whilst taking in those fantastic countryside and hillside views and scenery.

Five comfy bedrooms sit across the first floor, each one is spacious and individually styled, a family room and four super king-size double bedrooms, all of which can be made up as twins which gives lots of flexibility to the sleeping arrangements and the farmhouse is well served with three bathrooms.

For the chefs in your party, the kitchen is well equipped which is sure to be a big hit whilst creating the family meal but with the owner’s hotel restaurant and bar across the road as well as many other eating and drinking establishments in the village to choose from then why not take a night or two off from cooking.

If the weather permits then take the dining alfresco as to the front of the farmhouse is a garden area laid with crushed slate and even if the weather doesn’t play ball then take advantage of the covered area which has plenty of tables and chairs, a great area for socialising.

Plas yn Dre is centrally located and so many attractions are easily accessed, making it a wonderful base and it even comes with its own fishing rights on the owners 6 acres with horses, ponies, sheep and wild rabbits.

There is ample parking in the courtyard at the rear of the house with secure lockable storage for bikes, surfboards and kayaks which is ideal as Surf Snowdonia, the first artificial wave lagoon of its kind in Wales, is only a short drive away as well as numerous biking trails and centres all within easy reach.

Blaenau Ffestiniog is 25 minutes’ away and is home to Zip World and Caverns and Bounce Below, an underground network of trampolines, all sure to exhilarate!

But if you fancy a more leisurely day out, then a stroll along the riverbanks of the Conwy River from the cottage is a perfect way to unwind, visiting the world-famous Ty Hwnt café for afternoon tea, treating yourself to one of the many home-baked cakes.

Slightly further afield why not visit Llandudno with its beautiful Victorian pier or Conwy, with its majestic castle, whilst the beautiful Isle of Anglesey is also well worth a visit.

With so much to see and do nearby and excellent accommodation to return to, this is a perfect holiday home for friends and family all year round.

About the location

LLANRWST

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles; Conwy 10 miles.

Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
