“The cottage was very pleasant and what we hoped for.”

The owner was friendly and helpful with her text messages. The surrounding area beautiful and delicious croissants in the Spa Shop and the beer in the pub excellent. It was clean and tidy while being pleasantly informal. Perhaps better double-glazing in the bedrooms giving onto the road would make it better for light sleepers. The absence of a gate would make it a problem if considering the property for a mixed group with young children, the road is a busy one. ...

It was clean and tidy while being pleasantly informal. Perhaps better double-glazing in the bedrooms giving onto the road would make it better for light sleepers. The absence of a gate would make it a problem if considering the property for a mixed group with young children, the road is a busy one. We enjoyed a glass of wine and snacks on the patio and then came indoors to a cheerful wood-burning stove. We considered both features to be a real bonus. The dishwasher did not work from day one, not that we minded, but although we reported this it was not fixed by the time we left. Of greater concern for my party was where to get refill-capsules for the coffee machine and without an alternative system, tempers got a bit frayed among the coffee-heads of this party! Notwithstanding I would certainly come again as would others in my party. Long term improvements? A second lavatory. A better arrangement, a fence perhaps, vis-a-vis children and the road.
