  • "Fabulous holiday let, thank you."

The prompt response on Sunday morning when the electicity went out was really appreciated. The property was spacious with plenty of room for our party of 6 adults, 2 pre-schoolers and 2 infants, and well equipped for all our needs. We were so pleasantly surprised with the location, the calm peaceful west parade, and convenient play area. We would recommend to our friends and family.

We could not have chosen a better one. Straight opposite the sea with beautiful views. The house had everything you could need and was really clean and comfortable. Thank you to the hosts Pam & Bob. Will definitely return again in the future.

  • "This is the second time we have stayed at Penmorfa."

Another extended family holiday, and Birthday celebration. We have friends who live in Llandudno and our niece and her husband are based in Valley Anglesey for a while years so were able to visit us. The beautiful kitchen dining and seating area was large and airy enough to accommodate all of us, and the dining table was great for family meals. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, we love the outside space, and made good use of it for dining alfresco! The position of the house is perfect, and the views of the sea from the balcony wonderful. The beach is literally on the door step. There is plenty to see and do in Llandudno, theatre, pubs, eateries, walks and the museum was interesting. It is a very dog friendly place, and dogs are welcome in most pubs / eateries. Our dogs really enjoyed the prom walks and getting on the dog friendly beaches. The toilet seat upstairs was a bit wobbly but my brother fixed it easily! There are builders next door, but tbh, it didn't impinge on our overall stay.(the tiny bit of light debris was easily picked up and after the awful last few years its reassuring to see new homes being built.) There is ample parking on the road, and never an issue parking for us. Its re-assuring to know the owners are on hand for anything, we didnt need this year but last year we did and they responded straight away. The key can be left in the key safe allowing us all to go our separate ways in the day, and can 'come home' whenever. Certainly for our family, this was a fantastic place to stay, suited a less abled person, and 3 generations. We hope to return.

  • "We had a wonderful weekend at Penmorfa."

The large house had everything we needed for a family get together. Location is fantastic with gorgeous views from the balcony. We couldn't use the drive due to building work next door but plenty of on street parking. The owner quickly responded to all my queries. My only suggestion would be a 2nd front door key so that we didn't have to all come and go as one group.

We will consider leaving a second key in the house but from a security point have not done so yet This is the first request as the key safe seems to work for most guests Property Owner

  • "A lovely family week in a seafront home."

Some repairs/replacements needed: Clothes airer is broken Lounge door 'drops' as hinges need sorting Several outdoor chairs need replacing as metal is rusting and breaking leaving some sharp sections Lounge sofas need replacing as the seat cushions/springs are worn and you sink into the sofa - leaving a large dip when you get up again Upstairs toilet seat needs repairing or replacing Front gate needs oiling A mop would be useful. We did have to vacuum on arrival as downstairs floors were sandy and there was sand/dirt inside several cupboards and drawers.

Thank you for feedback which was very helpful. One new settee has been installed and another is due to arrive today. New clothes airer was bought as soon as we were told the problem. Sand is all around the house and is easily carried in on soles of shoes. No solution I am afraid. Addis mop in utility, new design may have been overlooked. Larger TV also installed this week. • "The cottage and location was beautiful."

The views and beachfront were ideal and very peaceful. Loved having a stroll across to the beach with my child and dogs. The cottage was very spacious and perfect size for our group size. Good enclosed garden for dogs. Balcony was added bonus and was nice to sit on and watch the sunset. Only downside for us was the upstairs toilet seat needs fixing and the bath plug didn’t work, so we weren’t able to bath our toddler, had to struggle giving her a shower. Also the cot base didn’t seem to be attached and was resting on the drawer, so that could do with fixing too.

  • "Our first impression on arrival was a bit alarming due to the scaffolding and building work going on nextdoor."

.I do think that this should be mentioned on the website. We were worried about parking on the side of the house which is extremely close to the scaffolding, therefore left our car on the street a few times. The house itself looks impressive. It's interior is minimalistic but has everything you require and is very well laid out. It's generally clean, but the cupboard directly under the oven was full of crumbs and dirty laundry had been left in the laundry basket in the Utility room. The bedding was clean and fresh. Hot water is minimal but the house is lovely and warm. The sofas are very uncomfortable. A shelf or cabinet in the en-suite would be useful as there is nowhere to place your toiletries. The house is in a beautiful location with breathtaking views from the front. There is a lovely little area at the back to sit out in, but we didn't make much use of it due to the builders nextdoor overlooking us! We would recommend Penmorfa for your holiday and will probably return one day.

Thank you for feedback which is always helpful. Builders working quicker and some scaffolding taken down daily. Unable to solve this problem. Very sorry about clothes and crumbs have spoken to cleaning firm. Have purchased a standing rack and shower caddy for guests toiletries. One new setter installed and another arriving today. Hope to see you again. Property Owner

However, both electric fires had been disabled and the heating was set to the very lowest setting so we spent the weekend freezing.

  • "We enjoyed a really lovely family break for my birthday."

The house was fantastic!!! so much space loved the spacious hall & landing The views were to die for we had the ensuite double & loved having a cup of tea in bed looking out of the window. We enjoyed mulled wine on the balcony too. Kitchen/dinner excellent although a few more baking trays would be helpful. Owner very helpful re heating issue much appreciated but as it was a very well insulated house there was no problem. Only minor issues were that there was no soap & only 1 toilet roll in all the bathrooms. Both settees were not very comfortable. Picture on your website does not show the scaffolding & building work going on next door!! But overall a fantastic house & would definitely go again.

  • "We had a party of 6 adults, 4 children - and the house was perfect!"

Great location (better than being in the main town - as the beach was better, less seagulls, and less people), the house size was excellent, fantastic facilities, and the games room provided entertainment in the evening! Can't wait to come back! Many thanks to the owners for helping when the in-laws were locked out! Can't recommend this more - however by doing this, we will limit our future availability!

  • "Fabulous size house and great amenities."

Lovely location. Sofas very uncomfortable. Patio doors into back garden we couldn't open and we had 4 days were we couldn't lock the front patio doors which was very worrying as we had to go out and leave them unlocked!. We did contact owner who wanted us to contact the glazing co which I didnt think was our place tbh. Plenty of utensils but I do feel that a few bin bags, kitchen rolls, surface cleaner and things like salt, pepper and a few toilet rolls would be a nice touch. Some places have a welcome hamper but we feel that bin bags etc would be really helpful. Its small things that make a big difference. The house is great and we would return. Just feel its a little tired and a few small touches would make a huge difference. Lovely clean bedding. Clearer directions as to things like chairs on the balcony wouldn't go amiss. We did bring all our recycling home with us as only 1 bin was available for all rubbish. On the whole we had a fab time as a family at the house and would return just a few small tweaks and fab !!!

  • "Penmorfa was absolutely perfect for our family get together."

A beautiful property, appointed to a very high standard. The large kitchen diner is excellent, with breakfast bar, dining and seating areas, meaning the whole family could be together while preparing and eating our meals. All the rooms are large and spacious, and the views from the front across the foreshore to Penmaenmawr, Anglesey and Puffin Island are stunning in this gorgeous part of the North Wales coast. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished and having a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor really useful. We were all very impressed, we certainly hope to return! Highly recommended.

About the location

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
