  • "We had a wonderful weekend at Penmorfa."

The large house had everything we needed for a family get together. Location is fantastic with gorgeous views from the balcony. We couldn't use the drive due to building work next door but plenty of on street parking. The owner quickly responded to all my queries. My only suggestion would be a 2nd front door key so that we didn't have to all come and go as one group.

  • "A lovely family week in a seafront home."

Some repairs/replacements needed: Clothes airer is broken Lounge door 'drops' as hinges need sorting Several outdoor chairs need replacing as metal is rusting and breaking leaving some sharp sections Lounge sofas need replacing as the seat cushions/springs are worn and you sink into the sofa - leaving a large dip when you get up again Upstairs toilet seat needs repairing or replacing Front gate needs oiling A mop would be useful. We did have to vacuum on arrival as downstairs floors were sandy and there was sand/dirt inside several cupboards and drawers.

  • "The cottage and location was beautiful."

The views and beachfront were ideal and very peaceful. Loved having a stroll across to the beach with my child and dogs. The cottage was very spacious and perfect size for our group size. Good enclosed garden for dogs. Balcony was added bonus and was nice to sit on and watch the sunset. Only downside for us was the upstairs toilet seat needs fixing and the bath plug didn’t work, so we weren’t able to bath our toddler, had to struggle giving her a shower. Also the cot base didn’t seem to be attached and was resting on the drawer, so that could do with fixing too.

  • "Our first impression on arrival was a bit alarming due to the scaffolding and building work going on nextdoor."

.I do think that this should be mentioned on the website. We were worried about parking on the side of the house which is extremely close to the scaffolding, therefore left our car on the street a few times. The house itself looks impressive. It's interior is minimalistic but has everything you require and is very well laid out. It's generally clean, but the cupboard directly under the oven was full of crumbs and dirty laundry had been left in the laundry basket in the Utility room. The bedding was clean and fresh. Hot water is minimal but the house is lovely and warm. The sofas are very uncomfortable. A shelf or cabinet in the en-suite would be useful as there is nowhere to place your toiletries. The house is in a beautiful location with breathtaking views from the front. There is a lovely little area at the back to sit out in, but we didn't make much use of it due to the builders nextdoor overlooking us! We would recommend Penmorfa for your holiday and will probably return one day.

  • "Beautiful property in a fantastic location."

However, both electric fires had been disabled and the heating was set to the very lowest setting so we spent the weekend freezing.

  • "We enjoyed a really lovely family break for my birthday."

The house was fantastic!!! so much space loved the spacious hall & landing The views were to die for we had the ensuite double & loved having a cup of tea in bed looking out of the window. We enjoyed mulled wine on the balcony too. Kitchen/dinner excellent although a few more baking trays would be helpful. Owner very helpful re heating issue much appreciated but as it was a very well insulated house there was no problem. Only minor issues were that there was no soap & only 1 toilet roll in all the bathrooms. Both settees were not very comfortable. Picture on your website does not show the scaffolding & building work going on next door!! But overall a fantastic house & would definitely go again.

  • "We enjoyed a lovely stay at Penmorfa in November."

The house is immaculate and finished to a high standard. Its in a great location, on the lovely quiet West Parade side but only a five minute walk into the busy town . It was perfect and we would definitely book again.

  • "We had a party of 6 adults, 4 children - and the house was perfect!"

Great location (better than being in the main town - as the beach was better, less seagulls, and less people), the house size was excellent, fantastic facilities, and the games room provided entertainment in the evening! Can't wait to come back! Many thanks to the owners for helping when the in-laws were locked out! Can't recommend this more - however by doing this, we will limit our future availability!

  • "Fabulous size house and great amenities."

Lovely location. Sofas very uncomfortable. Patio doors into back garden we couldn't open and we had 4 days were we couldn't lock the front patio doors which was very worrying as we had to go out and leave them unlocked!. We did contact owner who wanted us to contact the glazing co which I didnt think was our place tbh. Plenty of utensils but I do feel that a few bin bags, kitchen rolls, surface cleaner and things like salt, pepper and a few toilet rolls would be a nice touch. Some places have a welcome hamper but we feel that bin bags etc would be really helpful. Its small things that make a big difference. The house is great and we would return. Just feel its a little tired and a few small touches would make a huge difference. Lovely clean bedding. Clearer directions as to things like chairs on the balcony wouldn't go amiss. We did bring all our recycling home with us as only 1 bin was available for all rubbish. On the whole we had a fab time as a family at the house and would return just a few small tweaks and fab !!!

We were a party of 11 celebrating my sisters 60th Birthday. The house is so clean and spacious. Everything possible had been thought of, from tea towels, plenty of toilet rolls right down to dishwasher tablets! The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. The beds were amazing, so comfortable. We would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be booking again.

  • "Penmorfa was absolutely perfect for our family get together."

A beautiful property, appointed to a very high standard. The large kitchen diner is excellent, with breakfast bar, dining and seating areas, meaning the whole family could be together while preparing and eating our meals. All the rooms are large and spacious, and the views from the front across the foreshore to Penmaenmawr, Anglesey and Puffin Island are stunning in this gorgeous part of the North Wales coast. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished and having a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor really useful. We were all very impressed, we certainly hope to return! Highly recommended.

The property

On the beautiful Llandudno shorefront, looking out to the Isle of Anglesey, is this large and grand detached house, Penmorfa, boasting spacious rooms and excellent features.

Perfectly suited to a large family wanting to join together and enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, you will find room for everyone in the many rooms.

Beginning downstairs, you can discover the vast sitting room which sits at the front of the property, the large bay windows letting the sun fill the room, with plush inviting sofas and armchairs providing enough seats for the whole party to sit before the Smart TV and pick a favourite film.

On the opposite side is the open-plan living space presenting the wonderful kitchen, with light cream units and oak-style worktops creating a tranquil space to get creative in the kitchen, featuring an elegant island with a breakfast bar and stools where you can sit with a glass of bubbly before heading out for dinner.

To the back of this room is the dining table, a simple but stylish wooden table with black leather-look seats perfect for bringing everyone together for a family meal, and to the front of the room is snug area placed before the double doors leading to the front patio.

The ground-floor hosts one of the six bedrooms, this one being a king-size room, which is served by a ground-floor shower room, so for those less able this is the perfect choice.

Moving up the staircase using the original wooden banisters, find the rest of the sleeping spots which include a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a twin which can be made into a super-king on request featuring its own balcony overlooking the sea with views towards Anglesey.

Another twin, a double and a single make up the rest of the bedrooms, with a family bathroom and separate WC serving these rooms.

On a rainy day engage in some healthy competition with a game of darts or table football in the garage-come-games room.

When the sun is out, let the children run around the enclosed back garden with the dog while everyone gets ready for the day's adventures, with the option to set out on foot into Llandudno, or take the car out to somewhere further afield.

Stroll down the long promenade overlooked by the rows of Victorian buildings making up the South Parade, and visit one of the two beaches, North Shore and West Shore, with the former looking out to Llandudno Bay between the large headlands, and the latter looking towards Anglesey and Conwy.

Walk up the award winning Llandudno Pier, a Grade II listed building with so many classic attractions including fairground rides, arcades, a cafe and a bar - not to mention the Victorian classic puppet show Punch and Judy!

Head down to the historic walled town of Conwy, cross over onto the isle of Anglesey for some more beautiful beaches or visit the university town of Bangor for more entertainment.

Penmorfa is an incredible property boasting stunning views of the area and close to so many attractions for all ages.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
