  • "Simply Beautiful !"

Haul A Gwynt is an exceptional property, which I simply cannot recommend more highly, to anyone looking to find somewhere to accommodate an extended family group ( as ours was ). After much searching for somewhere to suit our needs .... 9 adults, a 5 year old, 3 month old , 2 dogs and ample parking space for us all, I discovered this amazing house, which ticked the box for us in more ways than one ! Susanna, the owner was amazingly helpful , friendly and responsive to all my queries, so much so, I was quite disappointed to not be able to actually meet her in person ! I was organising a special, surprise celebratory weekend for my Mum's 70th and the minute I saw photos of the house, I knew it was 'The One' ! Online photos don't really do it justice to be honest, as the very minute we arrived, our expectations were exceeded and we were truly blown away ! The decor , quality of furnishings and attention to detail throughout the house is superb . Everything you could possibly need is there (for all types of stay ) and simply everything has been thought of . The village of Morfa Nefyn was also a fantastic location to meet so many needs, as there are plenty of super restaurants nearby, a fantastic fish & chip shop ( Best I've ever tasted !) , a great Costcutter which stocks pretty much anything you could need, all within walking distance. The addition of having the beautiful beach ( Plus, the highly acclaimed 'Ty Coch' pub, within walking distance too, was the icing on the cake ! We spent the Saturday afternoon at 'The Cliffs' bar & restaurant, where we had fantastic tapas (Pimms ! ) and service . Then that evening we dined at Bryncynan Inn ( A very short drive, or taxi ride away) where we also had a another great meal, although really busy, there was a great vibe inside and all staff were really friendly and helpful. They also have plenty of outdoor seating and a brilliant play park area outside to keep children well amused . Overall , we had an absolutely amazing weekend, from start to finish, but it was undoubtedly, Haul A Gwynt that made it 'such' a memorable experience for us all. We all decided ,whilst there, that we'd like to make it an annual family gathering, so have already looked to book a date next year !! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !

Spotlessly cleaned and presented like a show home. Well equipped with everything you need...except maybe a dustpan and brush!! Convenient for local shops, pubs and beaches. One of the downstairs bedrooms has the use of quite a basic a shower room compared to the rest of the property (but still nice!) Dining room table just about big enough to accommodate 10 adults. Unfortunately, the weather was not nice enough for use to use the outdoor area but maybe a hot tub would be the cherry on top of the icing on the cake!! Big thankyou to Susanna for allowing her property to be used by us and have such a fabulous time with our friends and also a big thankyou to Tracey who brought us some towels that we were missing and keeps the property spotlessly clean.

Hi Julie Anne Thankyou so much for the wonderful and much appreciated feedback. When somewhere’s been a much loved family home for 40 years, knowing new guests can carry on its history of good times and relaxation is a huge plus. Dustpan and brush DO go walkabout but are usually on the shelf above the kitchen waste bins. I’m afraid there are no plans however for a hot-tub. The only addition that would help is specific directions as all the houses have names rather than numbers. We ordered an ASDA shop to be delivered as we arrived but the house has all the basics (best supplied Skye Cottage we have rented) and the local store is very well stocked. We are a family of 3 couples, 2 young children and a dog. The only issue for us was having both children upstairs in separate rooms, as we wanted parents near by and upstairs away from our evening noise. All adults or older children it wouldn't be an issue. Despite a long 8 hour journey (thanks to a sat nav detour!) with a 3 year old and a spaniel the first thing we said when we walked through the door was "Well that was worth it" and after just a quick look around I proclaimed to my husband "I think I could actually live here!" We have over the last 14 years stayed in many holiday homes but never has one been as exceptional as this. The attention to detail, the quality of everything, the "I forgot" jar, the amazing welcome basket that catered for all of us even the dog, the welcoming and informative texts and all the "little things" that holiday homes don't normally have but you really need - Haul A Gwynt had it all! The other thing it definitely had was a feeling of being at home, it was beautiful and comfortable and we could happily relax and be "at home". Then to top it all off the village is spectacular, small but everything you need on your doorstep, 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to the playground, 2 minutes walk to the various shops which look small but have everything you need including a butchers/deli/fresh cakes etc etc, 5 minute walk to the Chippy (very nice they were too!). We also spotted a local brewery not far past the playground, a pizza place, a bar/restaurant, a beach bar.....all within walking distance! I could rave about this week we had all day long but I think you get the idea.....book a stay here and you will not be disappointed, we can't wait to go back!
