  • "We had a lot problems starting out here."

The let was not very clean inside and out. We had to clean the place before we unpacked. No adequate freezer, we had bought all our food for Christmas, nowhere to put much. No tumble dryer, no drying facilities at all, no racks, just a line in the garden. Log burner was nice, but filthy, inside, no logs to start with, could have at least had a starter pack. There were no curtains or blinds on the french windows, the upstairs windows were not sealed very well, upstairs rooms full of sand. Place overdue for decoration. Shower facilities a bit cramped. Good points, good central heating, hot water.

Response  I m  sorry you didn't find our lovely cottage to your taste, contrary to our many repeating customers. Before your visit I had dropped off a welcome Christmas pack and inspected the cottage which I thought looked great. Professionally cleaned by our reputable local cleaning company, they do an excellent job all year to the highest of standards. The mentioned logs and tumble dryer in common with many other holiday rentals we do not provide. Our two fridges have compact freezer boxes, I'm sorry they were not to your requirements. There are no blinds or curtains on the French windows as they are actually sliding doors, curtains or blinds could create a hazard on the doors in the case of a emergency. I'm  pleased the heating and hot water were to your requirements. Property Owner

  • "The property was just as I expected it."

It was ideal for 4 adults all having a separate bedroom each. The communal area is a little small, but it was exactly as it shows on the site and the great weather we had meant we never really had all 4 of us in the area at any time other than meals. The cottage was well equipped for cooking. The only improvements I'd make are:- A pastry brush - forgot mine again!! A light over the key safe fob for when you get back late at night and have accidently left your phone on torch settings and run down the battery! A stand alone freezer - the one in the fridge is very small. The additional stand alone fridge was a god send. A key to the garage (we couldn't find one) and the clothes dryer rack is in the garage. The site says the washer is a dryer as well - but I either didn't realize this or it's been changed (probably the former!) Additional keys for the back door. All-in-all, it was exactly what I thought it would be and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a bit disappointing coming home to my own shower after the one in Perthi!!

  • "It was exactly as described and perfect for our short break."

For the owner, the magnets on the shower door upstairs are weak and the doors pop open easily, causing the floor to get wet and potential damage. Maybe you could make some sort of hook to hold them closed, also the mixer tap did not close properly, dripped. Neither points were an issue to us but maybe to you in the future.

  • "Great location - within a short walk to beach and local shop."

The property was comfortable and well stocked with crockery, cooking utensils etc. As listed, the property sleeps 8 but suggests sitting area space is a better fit for 6 and we found that to be the case. With 5 adults and an almost 17 year old we sometimes got in each others way, especially in the kitchen area and access to the garden.

  • "The property was ideal for our holiday exploring the Lynn Peninsular."

It was comfortable, well furnished and had a totally secure garden for the dog. Menai Holidays track every property you click on online and persist in emailing to find out if you’re interested in the property. We find this intrusive and irritating and, for that reason, would not recommend them.

  • "Morfa nefyn is a lovely place too visit, however the property we stayed at Felt a bit grubby, given that they’re supposed to have more time to clean due to COVID , the property felt as though it had a quick wipe over and not a proper deep clean you would hope/expect due to current living parameters."

It definitely needs some tlc on the property as in the main bedroom upstairs there’s a note on window that’s nearly faded asking to open and close the blind using both hands as the cord is broken !!! Also the toilet seat in the en suite needs fixing. A good clean , tlc and a bit of money would make a big difference. I would definitely go back to this area , just not this property in the current condition.

  • "Great location literally 5 minutes walk from the lovely beach at Morfa Nefyn."

Shop 3 minute walk to the main road where they sold fresh bread, pizzas, papers everything you need (Petrol Station shop). All beds were very comfy. Kitchen well equipped only problems was there were two fridges - no explanation why - so we assumed one was for drinks, however, we were only there Friday to Tuesday and the second fridge where we stored meats, cheese, yoghurts etc wasn't working and we had to throw away food at the end of our stay rather then take back home with us as the fridge hadn't been keeping cool. So note to owner may need to replace fridge or advise people not to use and use the one on top of the unit instead. Everything else was just as described and as stated previously can sleep 8 but we were three with a dog and there was just enough comfort room for us in the lounge in an evening - six or eight would have felt very crammed in. Would recommend this cottage and would stay here again.

Not really a criticism but a bit more local information in holiday pack would be good, example Cliffs pub good for food also Ship Inn , didn't say where they were although we did ask locals who told us, still a great holiday

  • "Overall, a superb cottage in a fabulous location."

In terms of useful feedback, the cottage was compact downstairs and as suggested, only suitable for 6 adults or a mix of adults and children. We were a mix and would say there was sufficient space for up to 8 people. Bathrooms were lovely as were the neds, very comfy. The dining table only seats 6 for reference. The kitchen utensils were not ideal, lacking larger pans and a frying pan, as well as a cafetiere and bottle opener! So we had to buy the latter. Also, there was a mistake with the booking details so we hadn't brought towels but Menai holidays agreed a solution with us and were very helpful. The house is in a great location very close to the beach, shops and pubs. We had a really lovely time and would come again.

  • "Very good bungalow."

Living space is slightly on the smaller side - just big enough for 4 adults, 1 child and a dog - but this wasn't a problem as weather was great when we stayed so we made the most of being outside. The cake left for us on arrival was a lovely touch.
