  • "The Old Boat Store is a lovely holiday property."

It is exactly as described and by far exceeded our expectations with regard to the kitchen equipment and helpful items such as salt, pepper, vinegar, oils, herbs etc. The property is in a fabulous location just off the beach, which provided many memorable sunset walks and offered easy access to the famous Tŷ Coch pub. Many congratulations to the owners.

  • "The apartment was perfect for us a small family."

The location is fantastic with the beach just down the road. The garden is a great little sun trap and the apartment was well stocked with everything we needed for a few days away and very clean. Would highly recommend.

  • "We had a great week at the Old Boat Store even though the weather wasn't all that brilliant."

The apartment was very artistically furnished and also had many kitchen items that are not usually provided which was very helpful. It was only a short walk to the beach and when the tide was out it was possible to walk across to Ty Coch Inn, a renowned Welsh pub which also could be reached via the Golf Club route. All in all an excellent summer holiday stay.

  • "DAMP , HOLIDAY CUT SHORT , WET FlOORS ,NOT HAPPY, OWNERS AWARE."

I arrived at the old boat store with my partner and three young children, upon arriving the apartment is well presented and clean (freshly painted ) location is good THE BAD POINTS After our first night as the fresh paint smell began to wear off we could smell damp and my childrens pjs under there pillow where damp along witg the master bedroom floor and bottom Of the walls , the floor in my bedroom is soaking wet out clothes that had not been worn had to be washed as they all had a horrible smell , there is a manual dehumidifier tray under the bed that was full so the owners are fully aware that they have a damp issue , I actually have years experience In the buiding trade and this in my opinion is due to poor ventilation and possible the floors not being insulated or removed when the garages was converted and the windows not having vents in ? So unfortunately we had had to book a hotel for the next two nights and cut it short at the boat store , not very good at all especially with very young children who where not sleeping well and who are all full of cold now …………. Would defiantly never go back and please Be aware this is a genuinely honest and straight forward review and no one can expect someone to stay in a damp holiday home there’s no excuses it’s disgusting they need to address the problem which can be resolved with the correct builder and it definitely needs doing asap no good keep painting over the cracks

The Guest and family arrived very late in the middle of a storm which was not the best start to his holiday. We always go out of our way to make guests, especially with children, welcome. The weather during The guests stay was sadly very cold and wet so with the heating on and no windows open, this would possibly cause condensation. If the guest is a builder I would have expected him to understand that if it’s cold and wet outside and you have electric heating on full blast you need to ventilate by opening windows from time to time. We spoke to The guest on the second day and asked if everything was ok and if extra blankets or anything else was required. I put a tiny dehumidifier under all the beds and in the bathroom as a matter of course and it was not full as claimed. The apartment had not been freshly painted and did not smell of paint. In fact the guest sent me a text saying they were pleased with the apartment, “lovely clean and fresh”. We ourselves lived in the apartment full time for eighteen months and never encountered damp. The next time I heard from The guest was at 11.30pm Tuesday night complaining of damp and telling me about a hotel that he wanted us to contribute towards with a veiled threat at leaving a bad review. I immediately responded saying we would pop in and see him at 10am in the morning to which he agreed. When we arrived he had left the apartment. All homes by the sea have some issues and we do not let out our apartment over the winter months like many other locals. All I will add is that it took my husband and I the two days after The guest left to clean up after the disrespectful way his family left “The Old Boat Store” Property Owner

The apartment had everything (and more) that we needed, really well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Open lounge and kitchen was spacious and there's a lovely outside area. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's well-located for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and the coast path. Local shops and pubs within walking distance.

  • "We have just returned from a lovely week at The Old Boat Store in Morfa Nefyn."

The accommodation was by far the best we have ever stayed and would definitely visit again. Everything was perfect and I can't fault a thing. It was wonderful being able to just stroll down to the beach from the front door, but also a great base for exploring the whole Llyn Penninsula. Thank you to the owners for the wonderful welcome basket and for making our holiday very memorable.

A warm welcome from the owners included a lovely welcome basket, and the little touches all over the property included little gifts for the children and children's bedding which they loved. Everything was very clean. The property is perfectly located 200m from the beach and a great base for exploring the Llyn Penninsula. We would definitely wholeheartedly recommend.
