  • "An amazingly situated cottage."

We had a super stay with lovely beach walks and cosy pubs close by to have a lunch or dinner. The cottage is well equipped with all you need to self cater. The rooms are all immaculately kept and there are books and games for a quiet family evening of entertainment. We enjoyed a winter break here and imagine a summer vacation would be glorious. We didn’t make use of the outdoor beach view patio but it would be ideal for an evening bbq and beach watching/ star gazing. We hope to visit again soon and would certainly recommend to friends.

  • "The location of this property was the sole reason we booked."

From the time of our arrival we could not fault the thought that had gone into making us feel comfortable and relaxed, the design was well thought out and the kitchen was full of all the equipment that you would of wished you'd taken but didn't. To wake up to those views every morning was an absolute delight

  • "Ty Newydd was everything and more we expected and we can't wait until October 2024 to experience a quality 2 week break instead of one!"

! I've marked down slightly on comfort purely because on what we assume to be an extra settee bed the cushions moved around a touch but hey what price perfection and we sat on the others so no sweat. It's a fantastic place and we are honoured to have been allowed to share it alongside Storm Babette - fabulous experience the storm raged all around us as we sat cosy and safe inside WOW!!. That said we will be eagerly searching to try and get a summer break there as we imagine that's a totally different chapter to add to our life memories. Thanks owners from Meg and Dave :-)

We really loved our time there. The property exceeded our expectations. It was very well equipped, furnished to a very high standard, with fantastic views out of every window. We can quite understand why we had to book so far in advance. It was ideal for swimming , walking along the beach and just sitting and watching..... It was also lovely to come back to after a day visiting Snowdon, Swallow Falls etc.

The house is spacious, clean and the views out of every window are just stunning. To wake and fall asleep listening to the waves on the shore was just what we needed. The ever changing scenes across the bay, wanders up the beach to the pub and watching seals on the headland- just perfect We can't wait to stay again

  • "A magical place with everything you need."

The entry time of 5pm is so disappointing, earlier access would be much better and give you extra few hours to enjoy the stunning place. ( Appreciate they have cleaning to do, but need to leave the premises by 10.00 does cut the holiday short)

  • "The cottage was wonderful and we will definitely book again."

The cleaning is clearly done by an outside company and the floor weren’t as clean as I would have hoped, plus neither of the hoovers at the property worked so it was difficult to manage during the week, being right on the beach. The gate into the yard needs the catch fixing as it has rusted through and so doesn’t hold shut when windy causing it to bang loudly. The pillows have seen better days and could do with replacing but none of this stopped up having a great holiday in an amazing location.

  • "The property is in a perfect location."

Property is stunning and has all you need. Amazing time had fab watching my daughters swim in the sea lovely walks around.. There was only 1 issue which was the parking. On arrival a car was parked in allocated spaces and managed to squeeze are car in and unload. My husband the next day lwent and spoke to the neighbouring property and car was moved as rest of party were due to arrive. On the Thursday a lady from the next property knocked and let herself into the property as wanted to discuss parking. I showed and explained the parking and said this wasn’t what was agreed with her cousin who owned the property and would take up with them. Feeling really uncomfortable we said they could use one of the spaces as they said they had more people arriving. This kind of put a dampener in a lovely holiday as felt we were in the way as there family had owned the properties for 100 years. Hopefully this will be resolved for others staying over the holidays .

  • "What a wonderful position."

Worst luck the weather was not good at all. If we had been staying in any other property we would have felt that we had not had a particularly good holiday, but staying in Ty Newydd made a great holiday despite the weather. Given the chance we would go again without hesitation. Just one thing for the owners ears only. Please buy a decent vacuum sweeper!

  • "The house was fabulous."

Just as shown on photo. Great position very comfortable. Definitely recommend it. My only comment would be the toilets. The cleaning brush was not hygienic and dirty. I would suggest either using a silicone one which can be washed or make sure a bristle one is either clean or replaced.

Lovely property with plenty of room for 3 generations. Toddler friendly with baby gate to use on stairs. We took an extra one for the top of the stairs. Plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge area and a huge family dining table. Several pubs for food close by and a cafe with a playground for children. Within easy reach of Mount Snowdon, Penryn Castle, Rabbit Farm and Gypsy Wood for children. Coastal walks with fabulous views next to the property. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you

  • "This is the most stunning location you could wish for, especially if the weather is good!"

Our week started with a bank holiday and that made the beach busy, but that was part of the enjoyment as the lounge/diner/kitchen had windows facing out to sea and east/west along the beach. Safe sandy beach backed with pebbles used by our grandchildren every day. Loads of cutlery and kitchen tools and everyday stuff like herbs, salt, oil, sugar left by previous tenants so we didn’t need to rush out to buy when we arrived. Please replace what you use for others. Maintenance was ok but some lightbulbs needed replacing and minor cleaning issues but we reported these so all should be OK for you. Definitely one of the best locations for us,ever!

Ty Newydd was very comfortable and well equipped for our needs, a little gem of a find. We couldn’t believe how a week could go so quickly and at the end of a busy day, paddle in the sea, marshmallows over a beach fire (thank you boys…) only to fall asleep to the gentle sound of the sea ebbing ever closer. Heaven. North Wales with Anglesey is very beautiful to explore we all wished we’d booked longer - thank you to the owners who made our lovely holiday possible, we loved it.

The home had lots of thoughtful little touches throughout. Kitchen was well equipped and there was nothing that we couldn't find to prepare meals etc. Despite the cold outside, the home was well heated with more touches like towel heaters and underfloor bathroom heating. Beautifully decorated with lovely art on the walls and photos of the property from many years ago, very interesting indeed! Our one and only minor comment would be that it would have been nice if some hand-wash was provided. We were supplied with washing up liquid and alcohol gel but in the current climate, it would have been great to see hand-wash, even if only one in the main bathroom. This is a very minor suggestion and it was no hardship to buy our own hand-wash. The property was exceptionally clean and you felt confident that it was well sanitised between guests. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
