  • "A nice lodge in a fantastic place."

We had some initial difficulty with the boiler. I think the electric ignition does not work, so one has to use the lighter instead. It would also be nice for Sykes company to send the links for the leisure passes in advance. But these were minor problems quickly resolved. The beach and the scenery are magnificent. We were extremely lucky with the weather as the sea temperature reached the record of 19.2 degrees C (!) on 9 September.

  • "Lovely chalet , but very tricky to get boiler to ignite and turn on gas cylinders , both cylinders were closed extremely tightly ,and needed a lighter to light pilot light ."

Also no real parking outside chalet as stated , as small space occupied by owners jet ski .

Good day, Thank you for your feedback, very much appreciated. I agree, the boiler requires attention and is tricky to light, I note and appreciate your concern - I intend to remedy shortly. The gas canisters are installed by the parks maintenance team - I will offer this feedback in assistance. Thank you - this is very much appreciated. Parking is a premium around the chalet area, I do also agree. However, it is possible to park at the side of the chalet, just enough space although, admittedly parking very close the chalet and also admit, not ideal. I hope the above didn't spoil your holiday or short break - The Warren is a lovely place, chalet ideally situated for direct beach access (50m) with, amenities to suit families, & couples. The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
