Such a treat to wake to the sound of horses and sheep rather than traffic! Highly recommended for a relaxing break

  • "We loved this place!"

It is so special ! From the moment we walked in, we felt at home, you can tell Peta has put a lot of work into providing the best experience at Summer Bees barn. Fantastic hot water, big spacious well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a lovely outdoor seating area. She was very welcoming and helpful in providing information to the local area, a real joy to chat to ! We discovered lots of local bays, long sandy beaches, bird spotting, Uchmymydd for a fantastic view to Bardsey Island. Nant Gwrtheyrn and Plas Y Rhiw are also well worth a visit. The area is really beautiful and there is so much to do ! We can't wait to come back ! Highly recommended.

  • "This property worked so well for us as a family - grandparents, parents and grandchildren."

The grandchildren had the space, the owners' horses almost in the garden, the sheltered bay with a gentle tide and locality to explore (lots of beaches), including the local mountain and ancient summit fort. Internally we had the space to be comfortable with a well served kitchen/diner, lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms. Llyn offers plenty of quiet space, sheltered beaches and coastal walks, villages with great hospitality and shops as required. Travel to Porthmadog, Caernarfon and Snowdonia was easy - views from Yr Wydffa (Snowdon) summit are not guaranteed. All in all good value for many and a great week. Highly recommended for a family holiday.

  • "Spent a glorious week staying in Bwthyn Gwenyn Yr Haf."

The barn is lovely as are the grounds and the kids loved the horses. The owner Peta lives close by and made sure we had everything we needed and provided local knowledge of beaches and sites to visit. Kids especially loved helping feed the horses and even had a ride in a tractor. Will be back next year :)

  • "We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful and lovingly converted barn."

Peta...you were wonderful, very kind and helpful. Menai office passed on the message of our son's left behind sound machine, however Henry has said he'd rather have a new one as that one is 'a bit old'!! But thankyou for informing us and thankyou for a marvellous stay.

  • "It was excellent, but we thought that there were one or two kitchen utensils that would have helped, a bread knife, comes to mind."

Was the BBQ tray meant to be used by us? We thought the draining board are could have been better. but overall we were very impressed.

Thank you for your kind feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I will certainly check for a bread knife and thank you for bringing this to our attention. The BBQs are for our guests use as are the games & other items. We hope to welcome you back to Summer Bee Barns again soon. Peta & family Property Owner
