  • "As we were offered this cottage as the original one was double booked we did not get a chance to really look at it but we were not disappointed the cottage was very clean the kitchen had everything you would need enormous washing machine that we did not use."

The colour of the goods in the kitchen was very pleasing and modern. Excellent bath/shower really clean .The bedroom was a bit of a challenge we are both in our seventy’s and need to go to the toilet during the night which was downstairs. We had our dog with us which would have loved to sleep on the bed with us however the child gate deterred her and she stayed in her bed. Nefyn was good the beach was amazing beautiful and very clean also a shop which sold really good pies and coffee . We did manage a day on the beach at the beach hut which work’s really well

  • "Small cottage which we expected."

However, it was damp and basic. The TV signal was weak, and often didn’t work. The outside area was tiny and unusable. Lovely area of Wales but wouldn’t stay here again.

  • "This Cottage is very very small and not suitable for more than one person."

There was just me and my dog! Front nothing like the picture - overgrown , tatty, and a depository for bins and recycling for this and the next door cottage. Cottage is dark! There is one small bedroom at the top of a very narrow staircase - not suitable for anybody with mobility issues. There are five beds but you can only seat two people in the very narrow lounge. Bathroom downstairs and very narrow. The fridge is tiny and the washing machine leaked (reported to owner). There is no enclosed outside space only access to the coastal path so nowhere to let children out to play. There is a tiny so-called patio with a tatty/rusty table and chairs. Rusty washing line attached to the table. The cottages to the right of the property are derelict and have been sold so this will become a building site in the near future!!! When I arrived there was nowhere to park - the on-street parking is a bit of a nightmare - to be fair it did ease towards the end of week. Very difficult to unload from car to house. Did not use the Beach Hut. No Welcome Pack or loo roll. This was the second cottage I moved into during my three week stay, problems with both. Do Sykes inspect the properties? I have been renting property in Nefyn for many years and this is the first time I have encountered so many problems. I have booked another Cottage for 2024 but know the property and hopefully will not encounter any problems.

  • "Great stay in a lovely clean cottage."

Perfect location, 10 minutes walk to the beach with use of a beach hut which is amazing. Pub and shop just up the road and easy access to some great coastal towns. We will definitely be back.

  • "I chose College Cottge as it looked so cozy, and it was."

Close enough to shops to walk. Also the brewery! The coastal path is at the back door, which was great. I was on my own, more than two people and it might feel a bit cramped.

  • "Lovely cottage that has made full use of the space."

We are a family of 5 with three children under 5 and we were comfortable. The cottage has thought of everything and I recommend staying at college cottage. The beach hut was a huge perk, we only used it once as we were travelling around to see different beaches but looking back we wish we had used it more. Parking was never an issue, we were able to park directly outside the cottage every time. There is a local park that our boys loved and the shops made things very easy! Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at the cute and compact College Cottage."

It was as described on the listing and met all our expectations. We were a party of 4 - 2 adults and 2 Children aged 10 and 13 and it was perfect for what we needed. The weather was amazing which meant most of our days were spent on the beach - having the beach hut was brilliant. It meant that we could leave our beach stuff and inflatables down there every day and it provided a little bit of shade with the sun being behind us as we looked out to sea. Nefyn beach is the best in the area from what we saw and is really safe water for kids - although despite being a no car beach, cars with boats did come on to the beach a bit which was a bit annoying but they did drive very considerately and they left again as soon as the boats were off. The walk to the beach from the back door of the cottage along the costal path takes mins and is a very pleasant pathed walk through farmland and a quiet road. We continued on the coastal path one day and walked to Morfa Nefyn, the next bay and the views on the walk were simply stunning. This is a beautiful part of the world and the cottage was great with all the amenities we could need on our doorstep.

  • "The cottage was in a great location, I wouldn’t say you can get 5 people in the property it would be a tight squeeze."

There needs a few diy repairs to the property, clock not working in the kitchen (new battery needed) towel and shower head rails all loose, the bathroom door is rubbing on the tiles. No books or games in the cottage and washer/dryer, dryer not working. Bed very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. All the repairs would only take less than a day to fix and would make all the difference.

  • "Had a lovely stay!"

Great location and contact with the owner. The cottage is beautiful and very clean however it would be a tight squeeze for 5. It is only one bedroom and the living space (sofa) seats two. Would be great as a base but not if you’re looking to stop in for little bits. The coastal path out the back is fantastic and the beach hut is wonderful. A book with some local information would be a great addition and also a house manual with details of the beach hut etc… however we did contact the lander via text and got a very quick response!

  • "Fantastic little cottage, highly recommended and beautifully decorated with everything you could need for a short stay."

Easy to park on the road and access using keysafe. Travelling as a couple, there was plently of space and a lovely small decked area out the back which was great for evening BBQs. Cosy bedroom with lovely view to the hills. Jacuzzi bath with LED lighting was fabulous after a long coastal walk in the day! Nefyn has plenty to offer in walking distance and eask access onto the coastal path. The scenery on the Lynn Penninsula was amazing, if I'd have know it was that beautiful I'd have visited years ago. Loved Aberdaron, if you go then you must stop at Towyn on route, great little find; lovely walk/beach and cafe with lovely homeware shop. PS. The cottage has a beach hut which was fun to visit and not mentioned enough in the write up about the cottage.

  • "Lovely little cottage in a great central location."

It's vey cosy, so as a couple it was perfect for a little break (our first since March). Beautifully presented and well-equipped. We parked the car outside but didn't need to use it again during our holiday, there's so much to do right from the door. Front door for the village, back door for the coast path. Fabulous walking, fabulous beaches. I chatted to one of the neighbours, who's lived in Nefyn all his life, and apparently the Cottage used to be the Navigation School/College for local boat owners, hence the name. Must have been small class sizes! The local restaurant, Bombay Joe's - just up the road - doesn't look much from the outside but is wonderful inside. Best curry we've had in ages. Note it's cash only. Good small supermarket just up the road too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

  • "The Cottage is a lovely little cottage filled with charm and caricature."

As were a part of 3 it meet our needs and the younger of the Grand Kids loved the Bathroom and in particular the mirror and the Bath. In fact he asked when are we returning, and yes we will. It's not a Cottage that would suit every families holiday needs but it's location and the comfort it provides would suit a small family and a couple. It is ideal for walks and for exploring the wonderful Llyn Pernisular. Don't be fooled by the picture of the Front of the Property it open into a lovely charming Welsh Build Cottage, which must be steeped in History. As I stated we would love to return and I would recommend it to family and friends.

  • "We had a great holiday at College cottage."

As a family with 2 young children the set up was just what we needed. The cottage is small and cost but cleverly laid out and with the mod cons and facilities that you would expect from a bigger property. The back door opens up on to the coastal path which was lovely for a morning walk and run.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at College Cottage."

The cottage was fitted out really well and had everything we needed. One issue that has to be addressed urgently is the damp patch on the chimney breast in the lounge / diner area. You can see the damp patch quite clearly on the wall and also you can smell the damp immediately on entering the property. This did bother as the property has recently been updated and all of this great work is being spoilt by the damp issue which will become more of a problem if not addressed. If this issue is addressed we would definately stay again as the location is ideal and we loved the fact that you can access the coastal path via the back of the cottage.
