house was just as described. Very clear. All facilities that we expected were there, plus with the extra bonus of wifi. Friendly landlady. Great place to stay and would like to come back.

The property

Rhug Villa is a homely semi-detached double-fronted cottage in a quiet location in the coastal village of Nefyn, tucked away in a residential area but only a short stroll away from all the amenities.

This cosy cottage, well-presented and maintained, offers good value comfortable accommodation and is a welcoming base for couples, friends or a family who want to spend time together exploring this beautiful coastline and area of North Wales.

The sitting room is comfortable and spacious with a warming open fire, lovely for those chillier evenings.

The kitchen is light, modern in its styling and well equipped with a relaxing dining/breakfast area, ideal for leisurely breakfasts and late suppers while you plan where to visit the next day.

The three bedrooms are comfortable, and the main bedroom offers a king-size bed, while the family bathroom benefits from having a separate shower as well as a bath.

The garden, located at the side of the cottage, with pretty beds and borders, a patio area, garden furniture and a BBQ area, is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the morning sun or some alfresco moments after a long day on the beach.

For the younger members of the family there is a play tent or during the school holidays there is access to the nearby playing field; great for a family kick-about before bedtime.

The Nanhoron Arms Hotel is a short walk away if you don’t fancy cooking, the restaurant is open to the public and serves a good range of home-cooked meals and a wonderful Sunday carvery too, as well as having two bars.

The famous Ty Coch Inn, down on the beach at Porthdinllaen is nearby, and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula is just waiting to be explored.

The cottage is ideally situated for golfers too; Nefyn Golf Club is 2 miles away, where there is a view of the sea from every tee!

Visit Plas yn Rhiw (NT) with its beautiful ornamental gardens.

Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways and the Italianate village of Portmeirion, are short drives away.

Horse riding can also be found nearby, ride through quiet country lanes enjoying the beautiful scenery, a perfect way to experience and explore places you wouldn’t necessarily enjoy or see any other way.

The towns of Abersoch and Pwllheli are close by, plus within driving distance are the stunning Snowdonia National Park and the wonderful Isle of Anglesey.

There is plenty to offer all the family, all year round.
