Great location for the beach and some top golf courses. Many thanks!

We arrived to find them all full. Put recycling out. Council only took cardboard. Button on microwave broken on arrival. Should I feel have been repaired or replaced.

  • "Had a fab holiday and fantastic location close to beach and costal path."

Lots of places to explore within a 20 min drive. House would benefit from another big fridge (only a small under counter one not big enough for a weeks family shop). Beautiful large garden for the pooches. Overall would definitely recommend for a nice week away.

We have now supplied an extra fridge. Property Owner

  • "Super location for coastal walks from your door."

The local beach is a steep but short walk down from the house but the top coastal path is very accessible and flat. Local shop within walking distance with a Spar 5 min drive. Nefyn is a quiet place which we really enjoyed. Good walks and view all within a short drive. We had brilliant weather for Sept. I would have liked a hair drier. There were a couple of electric heaters to take the chill off but its big house to heat so the central heating is a must.

  • "The lounge area is huge and what made the property special, especially the pool table (the main reason for booking) and the massive smart TV."

The WiFi connection is good. The gardens are large and pleasant, great for kids. The area is lovely also, although there is a very steep route down to the beach which I (fairly unfit 60yr old) found challenging. The beach is quiet and isolated, with plenty of dog walkers. The furniture however, is shabby and the woodwork especially, needs a repaint. More towels need to be provided. The best bedroom is the large one with the cot. the bunk bedroom was nice also. I found the en-suite room depressing with nowhere to sit & use hair dryer & make up. Also, some things need repairing. I'm sure the owners could spend a few quid on bringing this otherwise great property up to date. We struggled to eat out except for a great curry house in Pwllheli. We still had a great family holiday. Oh, and there IS now a microwave.

  • "Large and reasonably well equipped house though not enough cooking dishes and NO MICROWAVE which was very inconvenient."

Also recommend bringing your own towels. Huge living area and pool table was great. In a nice village with great places to eat and drink within 10 minute drive or 30 walk. Lots to see and do too and beautiful costal walks. Garden was lovely but NOT enclosed at all so not suitable for either dogs or young children which was very disappointing. Perfect home for an adult only getaway or family with older children.

  • "We stayed at Y Berllan at the end of June 2021 with six adults a 3 year old and a 6 week old baby and 2 dogs."

The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The property is very spacious and the garden was beautiful room for all inside and out. The property seems much brighter and spacious than the photos and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked for next year. Location perfect for the beach too and coastal walks and shops etc. The only down side was the size of the fridge could have done with a larger family fridge when all the shopping arrived! Also cot mattress didn't fit properly but for us it didn't make a difference as had another one with us. Would thoroughly recommend the property.

Although the cottage is pet friendly which is fine it does say not on furniture or in bedrooms which I feel has not been adhered to. Fantastic updates to decor and furnishings as well!!!

  • "The property needs a lot of updating but was good value for money and was what we expected for the price paid."

The only disappointment was the musty smell upon arrival, and the dish washer was full of dirty dishes and dried in food. Upon inspection the filter needs a good clean also. Location is outstanding and the beds are super comfy. Had a lovely weekend away with family and friends. Tip: bring your own bath towels as the ones provided are on their last legs!!

  • "The cottage was good, with a bit of work it could be exceptional."

It really needed hand rails over the baths and also rubber antislip mats for the shower too. It lacked towel rails in the house bathroom and the kitchen. Although the fitted kitchen looks really good it was poorly planned and needed a large fridge/freezer in the kitchen rather than outside in the garage, especially as the cottage was for 8 people and the built in fridge was totally inadequate. It’s good to have a dishwasher but far more crockery is needed as we kept having to get cups etc out before it was finished. The glassware was lacking for the number of people the cottage held. We found the broadband connection very poor although not the fault of the cottage and the smart tv wasn’t very smart. Otherwise the cottage was fine but the towels left a lot to be desired, so I would suggest you bring your own. Good holiday.

You can walk along the coastal path to Morfa Nefyn the pub outside Nefyn off the island ‘Brycynan? Offers excellent food. Abersoch is only 20 minutes away and has a lovely dog friendly beach by the golf course.

  • "We have used Sykes cottages for a family holiday for numerous years and have stayed at some fabulous properties and locations, this is the first time i have been disappointed."

The property was not up to the usual standard that we have come to expect from Sykes. On the positive side it is a lovely location with coast walks and beach not far from the property. The garden is lovely as well. However the property is very tired looking and could do with an update. The towels left a lot to be desired. We were a party of five adults and were left 5 bath towels and 3 hand towels. The 5th party member came Sat and brought their own towels. 2 towels were beach towels. My daughter did text the house keeper twice in regards to this issue but got no response. The kitchen/bathroom plugs were also broke.

  • "Arrived at the cottage and it was as described in the booking blurb."

The house is large and we lost people in the many different rooms. The owners were very good, we had a few issues with broken toilet seats and they done a 300 mile round trip to fix them. The owners were very positive in constructive criticism and wished more people did so, so they could improve their holidays. The scenery around Nefyn was amazing, especially from the cliff top walk. The beach, just a few minutes walk or drive was excellent. All members of our party were very happy with our holiday.

  • "Had a wonderful family holiday but were very dissapointed on arrival."

We arrived at approx 3.30 to find towels in the washing machine, towels in the drier and a pile of wet towels on the worktop. Not one bed was made so before we could settle we had to make every bed from start to finish i.e. sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers. When we came to use the cooker the grill and tray were dirty so we had to clean them. The bungalow is lovely and so is the area but it was a very unwelcoming start to our holiday.

The property is clean, spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kids loved the huge garden and the pool table. Just a short walk to a lovely beach, which the kids enjoyed in their wellies despite the time of year. Great location to explore Snowdonia, we visited Zip World Forest, Menai Bridge and Aber falls on our trip. Supermarket just 10 mins away and convenience store & pub within walking distance. Would definitely recommend (in fact we already have and they have already booked for nxt New Year)

  • "Absolutely fabulous accommodation which is a lot larger than the photos suggest in my opinion."

Location was excellent. The central heating system works very well, many large radiators electric flame effect fire and electric convector heaters. We were there in December and only used the central heating, no need for additional heaters as the central heating was very efficient. The accommodation had every thing we needed and the garden is massive. The hotel across the way had a good restaurant and bar with friendly staff and locals. A good well supplied local shop for just about every thing including food and drink within a few minuets walk. A very nice Indian restaurant within a few minuets walk along with a fast food outlet just a few minuets further walk. Very steep hill to beach within a few minuets walk, we took the car the second time. Absolutely loved this place, slept very well nice and quiet. will be back, thank you.

It was clean, warm & comfortable. We would definitely go back. • "The property is in a great location and although Nefyn itself isn't geared up for tourists as such we saw that as more of a positive than a negative."

For the amount we paid for our week here the accommodation more than met our needs and our expectations. The communal areas of the house are perfect for a larger party staying here and the pool table was a particular hit with everyone. The large garden is idea for ball games and the well equipped kitchen was a real home from home and the only suggestion we have here is to perhaps think about providing smaller tumbler style drinking glasses as the ones provided weren't suitable for shorts, haha! - If that's the only negative, and it really was, then, for the money, its a complete no brainer. Totally, 100% recommend Y Berllan.
