  • "The house is so comfortable, has everything you need."

The master bedroom is lovely, would be even better if it was en suite. It's a shame floor in the hallway has been ruined with the wet of outside or hot tub could do with a long runner. Stairs a bit creaky when getting up in the middle of the night for the toilet. But loved the house, the area and definitely the hot tub.

We would stay again with friends. The local area is lovely too. We were disappointed that although advertised as downstairs being dog friendly, our well behaved dog was actually only allowed in the living room and hall way, which made it feel more of a dog tolerant property, not dog friendly.

The lounge is spacious with ample of seating the beds are comfortable. We loved the hot tub being enclosed in the separate barn. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was waiting for the shower each morning and after we used the hot tub, could have done with an extra shower. Thank you for the lovely cake it didn’t last long.

Clean, large space. Need to make it more clear that the hot tub is shared between all guests not just the one barn, and also that it is a separate room on the property not attached directly to barns. All was wonderful, mattresses are all a little hard. Will be back.

Great location. Fantastic information in the box. Perfect for families or couples seeking to explore the area, and particularly those who love the great outdoors. Would have preferred more information on bins, as would like to have recycled. The bed on the ground floor was perfectly fine but a bit springy and past it’s best. Would have preferred a stand alone shower, but I appreciate that isn’t what was offered!

The accommodation itself was comfortable and clean but felt very tired. We stayed at the Turnip House last year which felt much fresher. The hot tub area needs a good sweep and de-cobwebbing. It was very shabby. Sadly I caught my new swimsuit on a something sharp on the edge of one of the hot tub filters which I’m very unhappy about. I did mention this to the gentleman cleaning the hot tub who agreed to try and sort for us but the damage was already done to my ripped swimsuit. The outdoor picnic bench needs tightening or replacing as it’s very unstable. Despite these couple of negatives we had a comfortable stay. Can you kindly advise who I need to contact to discuss reimbursement for a replacement swimsuit please. Happy to send you receipt of this very recent purchase. With thanks

Although the barn is a teensy bit tired; it is comfortable and has absolutely everything that we needed for a pleasant stay - and the hot tub is one of the best that we have had the pleasure to use. Along with the hot tub, the location is really what draws us back… we stayed here for a week on this occasion and with absolutely stunning walks on the doorstep and an OS Map app on our phone; we didn’t even use the car for half of our stay. Even when we did use the car, we never had to drive more than 30 minutes away because there is so much to do locally; (stone circles; Much Wenlock, the prettiest town I have ever seen; various Abbeys and historic buildings; and more that we want to come back for.) There is also an amazing Inn just a 2 minute walk up the road, not fancy at all… but the food was surprisingly good. I’m going to be using all of my powers of persuasion to convince my better half to come back again next year - although I’m sure it shouldn’t be too difficult because he loves it here too!

It was extremely comfortable and spacious as there was only the 2 of us. Would have liked some information on how the heating worked as the radiators came on in the morning, but we couldn't get the radiator to work in the bathroom so ended up drying the towels on the radiator in the corridor. Of an evening we used the electric heater in the living room. The hot tub was lovely and used it a number of times when we returned from a day out. The views during the day are lovely. You do need footwear and possibly a dressing gown as you have to go outside to the hot tub as it is situated in the building next door, but it is undercover for this property. 2 minutes round the corner is the Yew Tree pub and the staff were friendly and the food good. There are several walks in the area and a National Trust at Long Mynd/Cardingmill Valley. This also has a reservoir that you can go swimming in. The golf course has spectacular views but can be a bit uneven underfoot and watch out for the sheep and horses. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
