Explore your local surroundings and take a leisurely stroll to the ruins of the magnificent 13th century moat castle which was built by Edward I and rests alongside the River Clwyd, where you can enjoy scenic walks and even salmon and trout fishing on certain parts of the river.
Visit the landmark of Twthill, a medieval mound where Rhuddlan’s original and first castle stood, built by Robert of Rhuddlan in 1073.
Grab your bike and enjoy a cycle through Rhuddlan’s Local Nature Reserve, with delightful wildlife, pounds all overlooked by the castle.
