  • "Absolutely amazing home."

Only a few small criticisms. We were unable to find the wifi password or router anywhere so were without Wifi for the weekend. The blind in the children's room wasn't attached to the wall properly so when we tried to close it for the evening it came loose and we were unable to open it for the remainder of the stay. There was no wood left for the fire, and minimal toilet roll. Other than the above, we loved everything, Will definitely be back! Thank you

Dear Becky, Pleased to hear you loved the house. We really appreciate the feedback. I'll check on the wifi password as it has always been in the welcome folder. Please don't hesitate to contact Menai as the house is fully managed and they could have contacted myself if there was any questions. I will have a word with the Housekeeper about the toilet roll and will task the maintenance team to investigate/fix the blind in the bunk room. Thanks again and look forward to welcoming you back to The Coach House. Kind regards, Rob and Laura Property Owner

  • "A really great house with good kitchen kit."

The outdoor hot water shower is absolutely brilliant. There is plenty of parking space. Great location for the beach and right in town. Bright 'beach house' decor is practical and clean. The dining table is a very good size.

Dear Blair, Thank you for your kind feedback. Glad you enjoyed the house and the shower! Kindest regards, Rob and Laura Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable and spacious holiday home."

Like last year there was no patio sun brolly. We had to ask for one last year and it arrived after 2-3 days. This year we didn’t bother. We’ve booked for next year so would love it if a brolly could be provided as shown in the pictures on your site.

Hi Anne, I'm very sorry to learn about the sun brolly as I've checked with the housekeeper and she's informed me that it was in the Housekeeper's cupboard! I'll make sure it is available next time and please don't hesitate to contact the management company if something is missing as the house is fully managed. We look forward to welcoming you at The Coach House (with a brolly) next year. Kindest regards, Rob and Laura Property Owner

  • "Although we were very happy with the house, we all felt that wardrobes would have made the house perfect."

We also had an issue with a window blind, but the maintenance man came promptly to see it, although there was little he could do due to the blind fitting. I also had to contact Skyes cottages because the bins hadn’t been emptied, but the was soon resolved.

Dear Ronald, We're pleased that you were happy with your stay at the Coach House and that any issues were promptly rectified by Sykes. We always welcome feedback regarding the house and endeavour to find a happy medium to suit all guests' needs. We look forward to welcoming you back in future years. • "The Coach House is an absolutely wonderful property - we loved everything about it, and the whole family enjoyed the experience."

The proximity to the High Street meant that my elderly in-laws could have their independence for a wander, and the proximity to the beach meant that I could get to see the sunrise within 5 minutes of getting out of bed! My only 'not so positive' comment would be the instructions around cleaning - there is an inference that the guests are expected to clean the house (I wonder whether this is a throw back to Covid) as the cleaner will only do a 'light clean'; whilst I always leave a holiday property tidy (emptying bins and stripping beds, wiping down the kitchen worktops), it did sound like I was supposed to do a 'thorough' clean ... which I do consider comes as part of the cost of the holiday. It may just need a tweak to the wording ... or may be I'm being too sensitive! We loved it, and if we ever win the lottery, we'll be putting in an offer to buy it!

Hi Nina, We're really glad you enjoyed your stay at The Coach House. I will take your comments on board regarding the cleaning as the house is professionally cleaned between stays. It may be as you mention that there was an alteration during Covid that has not been amended since. Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you again on holiday or handing over the keys when you win the lottery:) Kindest regards, R&L Property Owner

  • "Overall very happy with our stay, the house & fittings were mostly very good especially the equipment & facilities in the kitchen, great for our large family."

We appreciated the kind gesture of fizz & cake etc, many thanks! However, on arrival we were very disappointed to see the grass so long, it obviously hadn’t been cut for several weeks. The outside shower was flooded & blocked by leaves, definitely hadn’t been checked for some time. This would have been useful to clean sandy boots etc after our beach trips. (Thank you for organising the cleanup of this area the day before we left) The windows are in need of a good clean & these issues spoiled our first impressions of the house. Inside - It was disappointing to see a broken blind in one of the bathrooms & the toilet seat in the main en-suite was worn with bare wood & we felt it unhygienic. It would also be useful to have a mirror in the master bedroom for hair drying. The other bedrooms were well fitted. We were very happy with the overall comfort of the house & the location was excellent. We enjoyed a lovely week in the house & in Abersoch. All of the above concerns were shared with Sykes Cottages office on Monday morning. Emma was very helpful & noted our comments- thank you.

Dear Guest, We are pleased that you were happy with your stay at The Coach House. We always appreciate feedback as it enables ourselves as owners to address any management issues. Please be assured that the house is now fully managed by Menai and that all your comments have been discussed in detail with the management team. Rest assured, there is a new contract in place to deal with the outside areas and there is mirror in the master bedroom for hair drying. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Coach House as a valued guest. Best regards, R&L Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at The Coach House ."

Fantastic property , well equipped & very comfortable. Everything we needed was there .Lots of games , jigsaws etc loved the upstairs seating area too . Soon after we arrived we noticed a leak from the living room ceiling …but after a quick call to the office & visit from a plumber the problem was dealt with within the hour . Great central location, lovely coastal walks to Ceiriad & Llanbedrog & we were very lucky with a rain free weekend . Thankyou & I hope we will return .

Thank you for your lovely feedback and understanding regarding the leak. So pleased the rain held off and you enjoyed the house and Abersoch. Yours, Rob and Laura Property Owner

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
