About the property

Penmachno 0.5 miles.

A former slate miner’s semi-detached cottage, set on the hillside, half a mile above Penmachno in the beautiful Machno Valley in the heart of Snowdonia.

Sympathetically renovated by the current owner, with stylish touches and a blend of modern fixtures and antique furnishings, this charming cottage is nestled in a quiet, rural hamlet with garden views across the valley.

Entering into a welcoming, open plan sitting area with an inglenook fireplace housing a warming woodburning stove, you’ll want to settle down on the comfy sofa straight away.

The kitchen has been carefully planned to offer all you should need for a memorable stay, with an intimate dining area ideal for a family meal or perhaps a romantic dinner for two.

Upstairs are two well-presented bedrooms, with a double bedroom to the front offering far-reaching views and a cosy twin room, ideal for children to the rear of the cottage.

A modern ground floor shower room completes the accommodation.

Outside, there is off road parking to the rear of the cottage, with a sunny patio area and seating at the front, where you can sit and unwind with a good book or the morning papers in peace and tranquillity.

Close by, there is an abundance of things to see and do, with the famous Penmachno mountain bike trail across the valley and the Marin trail just a 10-minute drive away.

Also numerous doorstep pathways lead to unspoilt countryside, plus there’s easy access to the peaks of Snowdonia, and the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay are just a short drive away.
