"We have just stayed here and unfortunately there was more cons than pros, I will start with the pros
- amazing views from the property
- all neighbours were very nice and very accommodating
- even though there is no set parking we had no issues getting our 2 cars parked close to the property
Now moving on to the not so good bits
- the gardens both front & back where very overgrown to the point we had to cut some vines down to gain access to the front garden, this wasn't ideal with 2 dogs also the back garden walk out was very unstable and in the front there was a big pile of cut down branches that have been left to rot
- the property itself was ok but very much in need of some TLC there was patches of mould and damp in both the bedrooms and kitchen."
The front bedroom had a very big water leak patch that looks rather unsightly, the bathroom shower was partly broken and there was chips in the bath along with some more mould. The kitchen I think was the worst, this was home to the biggest of the mould patches and this has also worked into the cupboards causing one of them to break, the tap had a really bad leak that sent water over the surfaces with you turned the tap on. The top left hop seemed to be on the blink and didn't work correctly like the others and the toaster was very subpar.
The thing that bothered us the most is how unclean the property was, we were made aware of a few stains on the front room carpet and the broken boiler door before we visited & was also told the property had been cleaned which was fine but when we arrived the dust and cobwebs and small 8 legged friends was pretty bad, it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in months, this also carried on into the towels and bed linen, the towels smelt very damp and had stains on, same with the bed sheets, they had rips and stains on too. White isn't a good idea when they aren't white white
Unfortunately these points really let the property down and for the money we paid we wish these points weren't there but with some TLC and money put back In to the property it would be a really lovely place as I stated the neighbours and the view were absolutely amazing !
Also getting some WiFi access set up would be a major bonus

"We spent 5 nights at 3 Tyn y Mynnydd."
The landlord was helpful and apologetic about the decorating that needed doing because of damp during lockdown. The TV was not working. The setting was really lovely and the view across the valley was particularly glorious during a red sunset on the first night. Photos of the bedrooms do not make it clear quite how small they are. Whoever cut the grass in the little garden beyond the kitchen did not bother to collect the cuttings or even just throw them to the sheep beyond with the result that I was clearing them off the kitchen floor for much of our visit. I found myself paying £90 to one agency and a similar sum to Sykes Cottages which put up the cost of renting the cottage considerably. It seems to me that it would be fairer if they both took a smaller cut.

"The cottage was warm and cosy in a great location with beautiful views."
The lack of WiFi, phone reception and TV was much appreciated too. It was a perfect base for exploring beaches, castles and mountains.

"Sent several emails to you regarding the generosity of the owner due to roof leek."
Re: He told us he had instructed you to refund £60. You have not acknowledge any of our emails but bombarded us with emails advertisements.
Poor show on your part. Not the owner of the property.

"Advert stated that the cottage had an additional toilet to the main bathroom."
This was not the case. Only one bathroom which was down stairs. This was quite difficult to get to due to the very narrow staircase.
Cottage was clean and tidy.
Parking is a problem

"Had a great holiday, used the cottage as a base as we were bikers on a mission to explore as much of north wales as we could in a week."
Facilities and location was great and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and with a local shop in the village we were able to get everything we needed. Betws-y-coed was about 5 minutes away with loads of eating establishments so we never went hungry.

"The cottage was a lovely place to stay."
If you like peace and quiet and stunning views the cottage had them all. The stay was value for money and the cottage was not short on facilities. Tv reception was poor with difficulty in getting stations, but you do not go away to sit in to watch TV. We had BBC and the news programs etc. That was enough. I would go again in the future. Thankyou for a good peaceful holiday.

"We booked this cottage whilst we did Snowdon at night for charity which meant the first night the cottage wasn’t used."
After approx 15 minutes it was clear that the cottage had cats in it. I appreciate that’s not a problem for most people but I’m allergic to cats so we had to book a hotel for the 2nd night as my eyes, throat and nose reacted badly. The cottage is very tired with frayed carpets and we was extremely disappointed. It’s such a shame because it has huge potential. Our charity weekend ended up costing us a fortune. Sorry but I cannot recommend this cottage

"Lovely little cottage, with astounding views."
Good to have three bedrooms for a family of four as my teenage granddaughter got her own room! Well equipped, we thought.
Betwsy-coed is a delightful little town with nice features. Overall, a very nice holiday

"Directions to the cottage could be better."
It's in a bank of 4 cottages, which runs side on to the road. 1st impression of the cottage was 'oh my word this looks rough it looks tired. Inside smelt damp but once we got the heating on and the fire going it warmed up. Watch out for the odd step which is slightly higher than the rest........got us every time. Good 3 night stay with glorious weather.

"Great location/base for visiting various parts of Snowdonia."
Nice cottage, well equipped. A larger supply of towels would improve things (I don't use the same towel all week at home), it would also have been good to be able to put the radiators on for a little while in the evenings as it was chilly and damp weather. Lovely quiet location.

Listing about the bedrooms a bit confusing but not an issue as just 2 of us.
Otherwise great cottage in great location. Helpful and friendly owner.
